I just got this puzzle and finally solved it on my own after struggling a couple of hours long.
However I came to your videos looking for some tips to make it smoother. I was actually surprised that my solution is actually none of the 2 you presented, but a 3rd one.
In my sequence, the 2 rings are basically moving on the same (thinner) rib. But some steps are still tricky are I still can't reproduce it in a smooth way.
If you want to give it a go for a 3rd video, it might be nice 😉

Yep. After a few videos on the solution to this damn thing, I've determined that mine is defective because those rings simply do not line up with the skinny rib. I've tried everything to fix it. The only solution I can now come up with is to bash it with a hammer.

hey Mr. Puzzle I reassembled the EQUA puzzle incorrectly (I somehow re assembled it one of the rings facing the wrong way)

I solved this puzzle differently....is there are place I can check all of the ways to solve this puzzle so I can log it in some way
I watched this one expecting this is the way I did it...it's not...I watched the offical way to do it and its very convoluted I just didn't do it that way lol
This soloution seems like something that would be designed for ease of assembly, hoping it would be too obscure/percise for people find

It looks very intresting, but i wonder how much time it takes to solve them.
I mean i wouldnt get one, if it takes me only like 5 minutes to solve it.
Id rather have something, that takes 30mins, or an hour or even more to solve.
Sir Frank I assure you this one will take you a very long time if you don't follow any instructions. But if you know the solution then obviously it won't be half an hr

Its pretty cool.
I got the chain, the quartet and the cube.
They were pretty challenging.
The cube was pretty easy, but cool.
The chain was challenging, but the quartet was very hard.
Backwarts its even harder.

Please help my brother just got it today and I got it stuck and I feel really bad.
Stuck in the position where you get it out of the cage?
Try to push it carefully in or out, depending which direction will be easier.
There is alway a way to get it running again.

This Demo is unfortunately not so good as your other ones.
Why don´t you just simpy mark the thinner side with a small white dot or paper so the viewer can easily see which is the smaller side.
In the video it is not easy to distinguish while you move the part.
