    I have a 7 meter boat. If I were to buy a 100hp inboard motor, should I buy 12 batteries? Where do I put all these batteries on the boat? Is there that much room?

    Lithium batteries are particularly susceptible to damage when over discharged, hence the absolute need for BMS when using lithium batteries.

      I have never seen a manufactured Lithium battery with out a BMS. Unless you build your own, then you need a bms to install.

    Looking at pictures of batteries placed in the boats, I don't notice any tie downs for them.
    Is this not mandatory under the ABYC rules & regulations?

      On sailboats the batteries will never bounce off the hull because the boat never gets on plane.
