- I have owned my 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for over a year now and wanted to share my thoughts. Instead of doing a 1 year review, I figured I would talk about if it is worth it to buy one of these 2008-2014 model cars in 2023. I hope you enjoy.

I bought my 2010 SRT8 challenger cause of you man.
Aye after I get this bread up I’m next in line…shout-out to Dave and khaari 🚨🚨🚨
I’m two months away from getting mine 2010 with under 50k miles. Just found your channel as I was shopping great content thank you keep it up! 🏎 💨
@@Judahdabutcher9 and ur credit
How is it rn
@@obadahalazhary2871 it’s pretty great man. I would start a channel as well I did a different type of look though.
My 2013 RT just turned 130,000 and it's still running strong! 💪
bro same, I have a 2013 dodge challenger rt and it just hit a 100,000 miles and ive owned it since 67,000 miles and have had my fun with it and still hasn't given me one issue!
I'm considering to buy a 2009-2013 challenger (either the V6 or the V8) as my fist car. Do yall think hat it's a good idea?
@@justaperson1619 honestly I’d say the 5.7 would be a great first car , try and shoot for a 2013 Dodge challenger R/T
@@jessievasquez2264 my price range is between 12-15 grand. Found a 2011 RT for almost 16K with some minor damage reported to Carfax (it's already repaired). Out of curiosity how much do you pay for insurance on the Challenger? Does th V8 cost more that the V6 per month?
How are you doing 10 months later??
Pisses me off that since I was a little kid I’ve wanted a challenger and now that I’m 27 and hope to obtain one in the near future they have to stop making them and prices will unobtainable for someone in the lower middle class with kids. I feel bad for my sons, hopefully traditional gas motors won’t be illegal in their lifetime.
@markmiranda9461 but a used one in good shape. I bought a 2014 with
I just bought a 2010 challenger for 6gs. Needs alittle tlc. But keeping it as is for a few Years would still be profitable
I just got a 2009 RT manual with 65k miles. They will still exist for a decent price. I recommend 2013 model year and up if you want a better interior. Be prepared to do your own maintenance when it gets higher in miles.
I’m trading my 2016 charger in for a 2014 challenger later this year. I wrapped it in 2 different colors , added stars on the ceiling , changed and painted the rims etc. it was a fun project but I want to start over , without payments this time
The only thing that is keeping me from buying one, is the interior design. It looks to me like the interior of a simple work van. Currently saving up for a 2015 and later R/T, hope to get it in mid 2024 👍👍💪
that is a long held dodge tradition. learned it from GM.
hope the price doesn't skyrocket even more now that there getting discontinued
Yea I have a 2011 rt but I went to Amazon and ordered accessories
i’m currently saving as well for a 14-16 challenger preferably a r/t we’ll get there brothers patience 🙏🏾
Have a 2012 challenger srt8. Full window privacy tint, Bola cat back , full media center upgrade, paint correction . Black on black, upgraded shifter. The car has 17000 miles, has never seen snow or rain, stored inside heated ,
I got a dilemma brother. I’m a former bimmer guy, got my grandpas 2010 v6. Fell in love with the looks (reminds me of my e30 and my old nova) and now I have to have a V8. Trouble is that I drive a lot, sometimes 1k miles in a week and I don’t want to wear out a nice 6.1 or 6.4. I want to buy a car that I can really drive the hell out of over the next couple years so my guy says I might be better off with the M6 5.7
You can get the 6.1 or the 5.7 just keep up with the maintenance
I have a 2014 Anniversary Edition Challenger it is a V6. I love mine, it has right under 60k miles and I love my car so much. I can't do a v8 with insurance costs, maintenance costs and with my old school days of racing around in my mustang, I can't be getting more tickets now that I am much older. The 6 is still a lot of fun😁💯
The same with me about the age & tickets...haha ! I've got the 2013 Rally redline....
I am the proud (original owner) of a 2010 5.7L B5 blue.
She is getting close to 44k it never goes out in the snow and has seen rain only a few times.
cool for taking extremely good care of it. but 🤮
Only ever seen SRT8s on CZcams until I saw a Hemi orange one sitting in a dealership parking lot and I had to cop it
I have a 2009 black srt8 challenger. Manual 6 speed, kooks 3 inch headers,Whipple 2.9 supercharger, and black widow exhaust. I love it! The style is great. 2009 6.1 is great
Is it fast
Yes! Danger fast!!!
@@geton411 that comment means you dont know sh!t about cars haha!
Hell yeah!!
@@terrysheppard-wp5kfhellcat fast?🤔
I’m looking to purchase the same one in the next week. I keep looking at it and you made my mind up for me
Join the family !!
Hope you got it man I’m eyeballing this 2013 challenger RT and just don’t have the money on hand for it right now
I’m a 63 year old man and have a Dodge Challenger SRT 2008 SRT with a Hurst 6 speed manual shifter that my brother past on to me. I just want to say that I enjoy your video’s.
That’s awesome. Thanks for the support🫡
Congrats on almost 1k brotha, I drive a 2013 R/T so absolutely love the content!!!
Thinking about getting one is it worth it ? 101,000 miles
I had 3 camaros back then but now want one of these 10 year old 2013 challenger rt because of the nice wider body than camaros and more trunk space can't wait.
Older models look meaner and more aggressive than the 2014 plus models 😏
🤘🏻
Found a 2010 with 35000 mi on it just gotta work on 2500 down and I can call it mine 👏🏼 glad I found your channel most definitely gotta get this car now
I bought a 2014 100th anniversary edition with 26k miles, super clean and i love it!
2:02 his reflection 😂😂
I just recently bought a 2012 srt8. Love to follow you and watch all your vids.
im looking into one they say it’s unreliable but only 86k miles on the one im looking at. hows ur experience
@@cobomma I got it last week. Soo far the car runs smoothly. I got it from CarMax. They do a good job inspecting their used vehicles. I love driving that car all around town.
@@cobomma6.1 is a good engine
Been thinking about getting a 2011-14 charger or challenger because I’m a first time buyer
I just got a 2011 challenger and I love it tbh
Same bro
@@jahnicspeed9603 is it slow? I’m wanting one but everyone’s now is saying they’re slow and get beat by other cars
@@chrisjohnson5284 It's a Challenger SRT my guy, a pure muscle car. Think about your own question, you already know the answer. Instead of relying on ignorant and delusional strangers on the Internet, get your lazy ass to a dealership and test drive one.
@@chrisjohnson5284if you want to get an old challenger that will gap most modern cars get an srt8
I love your videos and your channel is so entertaining keep what your doing man you will grow more eventually
Appreciate it! More content coming soon. Thanks for supporting🤘🏻
Yep
Do the 2011-2014 have electrical issues ? Are they reliable ?
I got 08 Srt8 challenger with a whipple supercharger. Love my srt8
I still have my 2014 SRT8 Challenger. Im keeping my car lol
I am a little late, but I finally got it here and you are at 1K. Congratulations 🍾🥂🎊 🎉 🎈. Keep bringing your smooth groove and black beauty. Yes, keep on keeping on with those bangers!!!
Is it still worth to buy a 2014 challenger
I found my 100 year anniversary of Dodge 2014 challenger for less then 23k and I had no issues i cant wait t0 mod the 5.7 i get 18-20 miles a gallon 6 & speed manual
Dude ! Coincidence… I also had a 2015 optima recently got a 2014 challenger , my opinion ? Totally worth it .
im getting a 2014 challenger monday im so excited
2015+ challenger interior looks like a cyberpunk cockpit. older challengers..especially the SRT8, if you can learn to love the interior, hell of a bargain for a lot of power.
Goals are to get my credit right, move out of moms and get a nice whip, slowly but surely lol finna get a second job too to boost the income so I can live how I want 😌
Keep grinding 💯
I’ve had my 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 for 6 years now. Did most my MODS myself. 99K miles. Everyone compliments my car because it’s different prolly because of the year it was made. I love my car.
I'm looking to get my first challenger sometime this year. I've had a 4.6L Mustang GT and figure I'd be happy with an RT but theres a 2010 SRT8 for like 2k more from most the RT's that I'm eying. I don't care about gas since it'd be the fun car/take to work on friday car even though I commute 50 minutes
Personally i like the look of the older challenger vs the new one. Im looking at a 2011 challenger rt 6mt and i want to do a full interior swap with the late model
I’m about to get a 2014 R/T. Watching this just to make sure I’m getting a good car. Never owned a mopar but I fell in love with one in 2015 that came through my sale line when I worked at an auction house. I actually had to prep the car for sale (drive it around the auction lot to different departments for repair/detailing/etc) it was silver manual R/T with a straight pipe. That was it for me. I had to have one. Now, I’m finally get it and in ALLL BLACK. Love it. Manual too. First kids are exhaust and to lower it.
This my favorite challenger. I do like the new versions no doubt
I have a 2014 and i like it better because its more retro
The cam quality is immaculate brothaaaa
Have had 4 392 vehicles and they are awesome. Really want to get back into a 13-14 srt8 challenger. Where it all started, something about the raw production of those 08-14 years of SRT cars just more true to muscle
Keep it up Dave, great vid.
I’m looking at a 2014 SRT-8 with 63k miles tomorrow 12-12-23 . Manual transmission. Car looks great in pics . We will see
6.1 gang! I tune these cars and would love to get you some sauce man.
DM me on Instagram 💯
i got a 08 challenger SRT #57 with 43 k miles for under 30 k amazing
I am a proud owner of a 2014 dodge Challenger, RT , dark grey. Loaded. Bought in December 2023. 🇨🇦❤ No maintenace just oil change. Second owner. ❤🇨🇦
I totally agree with you, it is worth it. 👍👍👍👍
Love your car. I recently got a 2013 rt 6speed.
I picked up my one owner 6 speed challenger Rt for 11,200$. It literally took months looking around for a good one probably closer to a year of shopping 🛒. 😂
I am treating myself to a 2000’s American Muscle Car. Nobody but me now, last muscle car I bought was a black 1989 TransAm GTA with the original gold BBS wheels as well. I was 20 yrs old and I bothered that dude so much blowing up dudes pager, flashed the cash in his face that I had saved up till he finally gave in.
I loved the sound of that Black beast with the booming system back in the day, had the whole custom system already installed as well as the car exhaust
I’ve been driving AWD Turbo’s for a decade now but I miss the power and torque of that N/A V8 , whether it be a Challenger which is looks wise is my favourite but I’ll look closely at the other competitors depending on the deals. I can’t stand the way the car market is going. I live North of the Border and theirs a bunch of these
R/T with literally 30k miles as they’ve just sat covered in heated garages all winter.
I am looking at a 2010 Orange R/T with 60k miles on it for a bargain. These ones North of the Border are barely driven cuz our summers are so short.
That Challenger has the meanest body and is closest to the old school monsters of the 70’s. Love the car and hope your still tearing up the pavement with it. I am pretty stoked about grabbing one as they’re on brink of extinction. This electric garbage is nonsense. Just complete garbage. Keep em coming and who’s ever got one , keep those bad boys alive with good maintenance. Respect due.
You need to check out the Mopar plum crazy DVD. It has a 2010 challenger srt8 in purple that they take across the country on 3'300 mile road trip it has drag racing on it and everything.
They want to deliver my 2010 Challenger with the 5.7 Hemi and 6-speed manual tremtech with 70,000 miles for 15k. Thoughts?
I have a Dodge Challenger SRT8 6.4 2011 and my motor engine just died ! I was also just changing the fluids not taking care of the rest !!! 😞😞😞
What if a 2014 challenger got 300k miles?
Very proud of the plum crazy purple srt8 challenger i bought. Thank you to the previous owner for the wrap!
I really want a challenger for a car I don't use for work since I work on a farm
Why do people say "buh-in" instead of button?
I got my 2010 srt8 50000km on er. Standard. Love it!
👍🏻💯
Debating on buying a 2009 Challenger R/T with 87k miles for 12k. It’s B5 Blue Pearl which is the same color of the one my dad used to have. This video helped me a lot. But this car has the 5.7 and not the 6.1 since it’s an R/T
just got a 2014 purple challenger rt, cant wait to have some fun w it
I’m considering grabbing one too. Guy is asking only $13,000 for it. It’s automatic btw, are automatics worth it and reliable? I come from driving manual cars so that’s holding me from pulling the trigger
Absolutely
Grabbing my 2014 challenger rt this week 😏👀
I used to live in upper Southampton my family has moved to Florida in April of 2020 during the Covid pandemic! I’ve been looking at a 2015 dodge challenger which I really love 💗 but with my bad credit I don’t know 🤷🏼♀️ if I can afford it
Well I purchased it myself
Love my 2012 300c responds very well to mods. Biggest drawback with these cars is the 5speed
My 2013 srt8 is so dirty that some shitty geese flew by and took 2 baseball size dumps on the windshield and roof. Spent 15 minutes cleaning the clumps of shit off. 😂💩🐦. It's a very cold day today for northern California.
Obsessed with the hellcat and demon but looking at their prices and compared to srt8s I’ll go with srt8
16-17 hellcats like $46k lol that’s actually obtainable frfr
Yo that’s a nice challenger it’s the perfect mix, because I like the new ones for their looks but I also like the old ones for their price
You can buy a light conversion kit from VLAND for $850-$950. Then you just need a grille and a bumper
09 rt challenger and I love it
love the content brotha your so underrated you be spanking shit in the races you got a fast ass 06-10 always liked 06-10 challenger -chargers the most
💯💯
i got a 2009 srt8 and did a face lift on it and swapped the taillights it looks identical to the 2023 srt plus next week i get a supercharger for it
are newer challenger bumpers compatible with 3rd gens i don’t like how chunky the grill is on my 2012
AutoZone worker carried
I got a 2014 RT challenger.. I enjoy it🎉
Cool video...thanks for posting
Just got black 2023 challenger 💪🏽
I have a 2014 rt 6 speed 144k miles it runs as smooth as a clock
yoooo ive been thinking about buying one, and now I'm sure that i'll get one
Looking at one now . I’m ready to let the kid out of me again😂
I'm planning on getting one
Like the energy bro, gonna price some from 09 - 14
I have an 08 if interested.
Im thinking of buying one when i save enough money, but i dont know what kind of technical or mechanical stuff i should be aware on 08-14 models
If anyone could enlighten me about that, it would be awesome
I asked the same , no one will ever answer
Hey man I hear you are in a salt lane, have you had any trouble with rust between rocker panel and rear wheel arch?
Parts can be hard to get sometimes. Ecu's that havent been bricked
Bros cars nice, gotta get my own soon
Your car is dope bro , one day ima buy one.
I am a 2008 First edition owner it's good to see a 6.1L Channel keep going I've been following you since before your 100th sub.
6.1L's Hemi's (2006-2010) will be so hard to find in a sea of 392 cars I've been seeing this more and more when I go to shows, I truly believe these cars will be worth more in the future. I also think (2011-2014) 392 models will get over shadowed by the upgraded models from 2015 + (with the exception of the 2011 Green with Envy , 2011 Blue/White Inaugural Editions and Yellow Jacket/Super Bee editions.
have u had any issues? thinking about getting a 2008
@@noeorozco5054 no I haven't... I've had the car since brand new so it's always been really maintained...it's also a low mileage car so nothing more then regular maintenance like oil, tires, brakes and batteries.
Love the Exhaust sound. What Mods did you do to it?
Looking at a dodge 2013 challenger RT for 15k. But has 119k miles. I’m iffy on it. Miles are high.
Same
I'm trying to trade in my 2015 Civic for a 2008 Dodge challenger. Anything but the 6 cylinder for me , wish me luck 💀
Sweet car , you know we all want one... maybe soon
Love the old body style I was going for a srt 8 but the interior reminds me of my 2012 Chrysler 300 same interior. I went with a 2018 RT 8spd interior little newer I guess but RT has forged internals 6.1 forged crank 🤓 gapping my buddy’s 392 SRT AWD Jeep . I keep telling him it’s a stock RT 😂🤣 blows his mid
All these cars in my area are 20-27k in Atlanta I see scat packs every day all kinds I see srt8 just not as much as hellcats or v6 or scats so they are the most rare
Bruh i just went from a Kia Optima to a 2015 SXT Plus😏
I would only buy one if they had a 4 cylinder challenger. Maybe even a 2 Cylinder.
My neighbors hate me forsure 😂
Is a v6 challenger a good first car?
The sad part is the only autos in my area is a white one for 20k w 115k miles and a plum crazy one that had previous frame damage leased 3 owner with 64k miles I’m torn with which one I should look at probably both but I want the plum crazy one cuz of the mileage it has plum crazy srt rims as well I think someone painted them did a good job
I have a 2010 challenger with the 5.7 im debating whether to sell it rn or to hold onto it and restore the body (its got a huge dent in the back left panel and sun damaged paint ) and get a fresh new paint
perfect videos do exist
ONE DAY 😔🙏🏻
ok quick question , i’m about to get a 2011 dodge challenger but i’m worried i won’t fit i’m 6’5 & weigh about 310… i’m concerned if i’m gonna have enough leg room and head room what y’all think ?
anything helps cus i’m confused lmaoo
Hey a quick question what remote start did you installed in your car?
Bought a used 2019 Challenger GT but wished I'd gotten a hemi equipped one. The V/6'is so slow. Too much weight 4000 pounds with 305hp. I should have known better.
is it safe to say that the Tremec6060 is much better and reliable than the 5 speed Mercedes Benz AMG.
Tips on buying an SRT8? I’m looking into buying one for my first car
Did a video on this. Check it out
