Brandon Butch I got the Pro’s the first day. I wear them a lot and agree about no ear wax buildup. I tried all the sizes and use the medium. I get a little less battery also but the noise cancellation is worth it. I’m really glad I bought them. I have no discomfort issues. I have used both AirPods 1&2. They were good but the Pros are better in my opinion. I wear them between 4 & 7 hours a day Monday thru Friday. Thanks for your videos. I want to add that I use them for phone calls quite often indoors and out and don’t have any problems hearing or being heard. I was surprised especially with the calls outdoors. Coworkers have told me I sound fine.
Brandon Butch I’ve got two Shortcuts, “Listen” tells the device to pause and then switch to Transparency Mode; the second “Carry on” switches on Noise Cancelling then tells the device to play. Running them I often get the two AirPods out of sync, perhaps 200 mSec difference in audio, or sometimes it won’t start playing - flicks the play indicator on and then back to pause after a second. Tried all this doing it manually without Shortcuts and can get the same glitches esp the non-playing.
I think transparency mode is brilliant. I have some Bose QC 35 II OTE headphones, and if I just turned off the ANC, I would just get a muffled sound, likewise normal earbuds if I turned the sound off. To be in a crowded pub using them, and then going to the bar to order, with a simple press of the stem I can hear everything, as if I had nothing in my ears.

@@gandiwijaya actually its not, today i experienced my first seal earbud after a long time and coming from a regular earphone, the difference was SOOO huge!
Excellent and detailed comparison/review, thank so much for taking time to out this together! My husband has AirPods 2, and when I try them out on their own, they end up hurting my ears after a while (my ear is just a little too small for the height of the earbud when it’s sitting in my ear). I use those silicone earpieces you can buy separately on Amazon or wherever, around my own earbuds, to be able to use them with them sitting in the outermost part of my ear, while still staying put. That helps the pain, and it does the same thing when I use them with my husband AirPods 2. **My question: you mention the comfort of the AirPods Pro. Would you think that would be the case given my situation? Noise cancellation is very important to me, but not at the cost of a noticeable difference in comfort.**
The Pros have better controls, Transparency and Noise Cancelation, Wireless case, Better sound with Fit including seal. Better comfort (debatable) and better confidence they won’t fall out. Water and sweat resistant. Easier to clean. Hey Siri. So yeah I’d say they are a lot better. Pro is thrown around a lot but I can see apples point in why they call them pros.
Titus Robinson Your facts are a bit off: The AirPods 2 have the Hey Siri function and a wireless case option. Also, FWIW, battery life is superior - by nearly an hour for audio/media playback - as Brandon pointed out. The main real added-value features of the AP Pros are the fit and ofc the ANC; add the water & sweat resistance if you’re a gym rat and/or live in a very hot/humid/rainy climate. I bought open-box AP2 with the wireless case for just over $130 (all-in) on Black Friday; they might as well have been brand new as they hadn’t been used that I could tell. The fit in my right ear is perfect; the left could be better (WTF ? Maybe I’m built strangely 🤣) but it’s workable. I just couldn’t see spending double for the Pros right now. I have a Bose bluetooth speaker that I prefer to use for music anyway, so my AP use is mainly phone calls, and video playback in public places.
i checked a random video where airpods 2 survived a lot of tests including getting submerged in water for a decent time so airpods 2were already secretly water resistant to a huge extent
yeah for sure, the airpods 2 didn’t fit me too good, but the airpods pro just wouldn’t stay in my ears with all the silicone tips, they also hurt too with all the sizes
I have changed up the ear tips quite a few times and the mediums fit better but ear pain is expected after an hour or so. The smalls feel too invasive in my ear , and the large are too big for my ear canal. So its all down to tolerance for the sake of blocking out the world 😂( ANC on )
I've had a couple different headphones including some true wireless buds and I have to say that the Airpods Pro are the first ones that feel really comfortable for extended periods. I think part of it is that they have vents to keep from building up pressure in my ears and at the same time they're really light. I think a third factor for the comfortability is that the transparency mode provides really clear sound almost as if I weren't wearing them by contrast I have a pair of Echo Buds, which have a passthrough mode but everything still sounds a bit muffled. Another thing I really like about the Pros are that if I do need to adjust the fit while listening I'm not going to run into the problem of accidentally triggering something. I don't know how many times I've adjusted my Echo Buds and accidentally skipped to the next track or paused the music. When I was deciding between getting the Airpods 2 and the Pros I decided to get the Pros in part because of the active noise cancellation. Some other things I like is the integration with the Apple Watch. Simple things like volume control and skipping tracks not to mention playing and pausing via the watch is just a great touch.
Got my pros for a few days now. When I ride in traffic I use transparent mode. The ANC is so good that I won’t notice a car behind me until I turn my head and see it. But when I ride along the river or on bike paths, I switch to ANC. Compared to my non ANC headphones it blocks wind and other noises and I can listen at a much lower volume which saves battery and is much healthier for my ears.

I've used earbuds for many years, and I know one of my ear canals is smaller than the other, so there was always a mismatch on my AirPods. But now I have AirPods Pro, I have a perfect fit and balance, like I had with my old Sennheisers that broke. And transparency mode blows me away.

Part of the reason why I wanna upgrade is because the build up of ear wax in the AirPods 2 is very irritating, and it causes them to slowly get quieter until you can barely hear them. Does this still happen with the pros?

I really am on the fence on which one to get for just ONE FACTOR I love how the airpods 1&2 buds are shaped and I don’t know if I’d like how the airpods Pro feels but I LOVE the features 😔 help!
More satisfying in the AirPods 2?? I have the pros and I’m literally addicted to opening and closing the case. I love that it sounds heavier than the older ones
Victor Ryan Another benefit to the Pro case over the regular case is that it’s wide enough to act as an iPhone stand in landscape. Want to watch videos and don’t have a stand? Just use the AirPods Pro case. Open it up and put the iPhone on the lid with the back resting against the case.
Waiz Mansoor True! The way the old ones sit in the case facing away from each other doesn’t look good imo... And the shape of the case makes it look like a toy
I’ve gotten reviews from customers at the store I work for and many don’t like the pros because you deal with more magnets and the magnetic buds come off easily apparently. The original AirPods got an upgrade, they’re second gen now and they link up faster to your device.
@@TjDaProducer01 really? Because everybody’s talking about how people don’t hear you as loud as they would on airpods 2. Most people say the quality gets even worse in loud environments. I was thinking of buying the pros and I’m not so sure anymore after reading all those comments.
@@TjDaProducer01 of course they are. I know the experience varies, I was just trying to figure out whether to get them or wait it out. Dedided to wait it out as I am quite satisfied with my pair of 2’s so far. In terms of call quality, those short stems don’t convince me at all lol. Meanwhile, I’m really curious to see what the next gen of the pods and the new headphones are going to bring on the table.
Just spent so much money on these AP pros . But I love them . They stay in the ear , didn’t experience any pain , and talk time for after 1 hour and 18 minutes battery was 67% , I was only using one at the time, so I don’t know if that makes a difference.
Excellent review. I purchased the AirPods Pro (had original AirPods) and find the noise canceling a really great feature. The fit is much better as well and I also now have the benefit of wireless charging. Overall very satisfied.
The fit test only tests the seal at the time of testing not the fit in all future scenarios or the comfort... EDIT: My point being that for what you’re judging the fit test on “accuracy” has nothing to do with it. For what it was made to detect it IS accurate. If you had done a fit test after a workout when they came loose it would’ve told you that you don’t have a good seal -_-
Nice review. I only say while that its covered. When you mention phone calls use as leaning toward the non Pro. Basically if you're using them for anything in an outdoor noisy enviornment (hello nyc) including phone calls the isolation/noise canceling not just a deciding factor for the Pro as the choice, but it helps protect your hearing. Both because you can listen at a lower volume and you have some isolation.
When I first got them, all three ear tip sizes passed the Fit Test. Now none of them do, and I don’t know why. They feel like they have a tight seal, so I don’t know if the ear tips or the buds themselves are defective, or whether the latest firmware upgrade caused problems. I’ve changed tips frequently, so I don’t know if I’ve damaged them. They look fine and click into place nicely. Has anyone else experienced a failure in the Fit Test for all ear tips? If you solved it, how did you do it? Thanks!
Bryan Rubio the first hour or two you may experience some type of pain but after a day or two, you won’t notice this and they are super comfortable. I can lay my head sideways on a pillow with the AirPods pro in my ears and it doesn’t hurt my ears and is still comfortable.

I have to say from upgrading from the gen 1 airpods and from cleaning them every 3 days I clean my air pods pro every 2 weeks because a little bit of wax gets stored in the ear tip
hey I have a question, does the AirPods Pro have better sound quality than AirPods 2? I returned my AirPods and now saving up for the pro but i want to know if i should?
According to several YT reviewers (self-proclaimed audiophiles and audio technicians, too) the sound quality is almost the same, if not a bit improved because of how they're built; basically, almost any earbud gives you better sound quality than a standard earphone, because of the seal the tip gives you. Personally, I bought the Pros because of the noise cancelling + transparency features AND the ease of use/overall versatility. If you really, truly care for audio quality, a lot of people are recommending the Sony WF-1000XM3 for their amazing sound, but apparently they come with their own small problems on the side.
In my personal experience with these, there can be a tiny bit of discomfort. For example, on the right AirPod, if I push it back in if it somehow moves (the fit on these are amazing) it can cause pain. Otherwise, these are great!
I have two slightly differently-sized ear canals. I could get the old AirPods to stay in my left ear, but the one on the right would always fall out. So now with the AirPods Pro, I have the large bud in my right ear and the middle in my left, and they have never fallen out, not once (channelling Tim Meadows there). And I find Transparency mode such a boon. Amazing to be in the pub, listening to heavy metal music and unaware of the other noise around me, yet with one press on the right stem, I can hold a clear conversation with a bartender.
One problem is that ,for sanitary reeaons, it is probably not possible to try the pods before you buy. I have a pair of Bose, have tried the 3 sets of earpiece and can't find the ones that will stay in the ear. I hesitate to buy either Apple model, since I might encounter the same problem.
Are you getting new AirPods this year or do you already have them?

@@axiaty2806 I haven't tried them out but right now they are $110 on Amazon which not bad price. I ordered the AirPods 2 for 129 to see how they are since the AirPod Pros are overpriced and sound quality sucks. Since its Winter, I don't mind sticking to my the overhead Vmoda crossfade aac apx edition. The older version of crossfade are only $89 which is a bargain for wireless over-the head head phones that can be wired when the battery dies...
Shane Persad do u just complain on every post lmao stop capping with ur 7.99 earphones broke ass
@@C00lGuyWithHats I have collection of headphones that range from 500.00 to 7.99. My point is my 7.99 earbuds sounds better than the 300.00 air pods that I bought and returned. The audio quality was horrible... Being rich or broke has nothing with audio quality. Concerning the broke part. I own two buildings and about buy a third.
I really am on the fence on which one to get for just ONE FACTOR I love how the airpods 1&2 buds are shaped and I don’t know if I’d like how the airpods Pro feels but I LOVE the features 😔 help!
I love my airpods 2, but wish I had the pros for noise cancelling when I'm on the city bus and people are talking.
Tech In RL I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work too well... not sure if I’m doing it wrong but my phone falls over so easily 😂
Victor Ryan i have a xs max and the airpods 2 case is too small😔
The fact that the actual buds slide out rather that you having to pull them out is even more satisfying
The original AirPods got an upgrade, they’re second gen now and they link up faster to your device.
what about call quality, any difference ?
no it’s pretty much the same
Pros are better in a way especially if you add in noise cancelling
@@TjDaProducer01 really? Because everybody’s talking about how people don’t hear you as loud as they would on airpods 2. Most people say the quality gets even worse in loud environments. I was thinking of buying the pros and I’m not so sure anymore after reading all those comments.
on the pros the call quality is very good
@@TjDaProducer01 of course they are.
Thanks for the video, which on has the better voice call, video call quality?
This review is the best review I’ve watched for the AirPods Pro.. thanks for helping me choose!
Awesome video! I have AirPods 1st generation, and I want noise cancelling so bad.
Just spent so much money on these AP pros .
But I love them .
They stay in the ear , didn’t experience any pain , and talk time for after 1 hour and 18 minutes battery was 67% , I was only using one at the time, so I don’t know if that makes a difference.
awesome video man keep up the good work I love your videos
Video is super clear, thank you
Excellent review. I purchased the AirPods Pro (had original AirPods) and find the noise canceling a really great feature. The fit is much better as well and I also now have the benefit of wireless charging. Overall very satisfied.
Thanks Greg! Glad you're enjoying your Pros!
Great 👍 Review❗️I am getting the pros, I couldn’t keep the right ear in place with the originals ❗️✅
I've got a question, if you have a macbook, an iPhone, and the airpods, do the airpods connect to both the macbook, and the iPhone?
Can I find or track my AirPods if someone else use them? Please answer thanks
I love my AirPod 2nd gens... I don’t see a reason to upgrade especially for that price. I have the beats solo3 so I think I’m good for a while now
The fit test only tests the seal at the time of testing not the fit in all future scenarios or the comfort...
EDIT: My point being that for what you’re judging the fit test on “accuracy” has nothing to do with it. For what it was made to detect it IS accurate. If you had done a fit test after a workout when they came loose it would’ve told you that you don’t have a good seal -_-
Does transparency and noise cancelling work with other phones?
Nice review. I only say while that its covered. When you mention phone calls use as leaning toward the non Pro. Basically if you're using them for anything in an outdoor noisy enviornment (hello nyc) including phone calls the isolation/noise canceling not just a deciding factor for the Pro as the choice, but it helps protect your hearing. Both because you can listen at a lower volume and you have some isolation.
This cleared my conscious while waiting on my pros to arrive..
Tech reviewer reviewing earphones:
Sound quality - yes.

Thanks!
i would say that the fit test isn’t accurate always so you should just test them yourself and decide what is best
I went and got got my AirPod Pro’s yesterday & I absolutely love them! I would recommend anyone to upgrade! It’s expensive but it’s well worth it!
Debo Minor are you experiencing any ear pain while wearing them for a while?
@@nightcam3190 i got the same question, pls answer
Bryan Rubio the first hour or two you may experience some type of pain but after a day or two, you won’t notice this and they are super comfortable. I can lay my head sideways on a pillow with the AirPods pro in my ears and it doesn’t hurt my ears and is still comfortable.
ツBunnMau5 the first hour or two you may experience some type of pain but after a day or two, you won’t notice this and they are super comfortable. I can lay my head sideways on a pillow with the AirPods pro in my ears and it doesn’t hurt my ears and is still comfortable.
You can change the tips out to make them smaller.
Idk if I’m just super high or what but your “S” pierce tf outta my ears
Can you use the airpods pro with and without the ear tips?
I have AirPods 2 but the left won’t charge what should I do?
I went to moms house and I Saw a pair of those and I have been longing for air pods for Christmas
My ears are molded from over a decade to apple’s earbud shape they are so secure in my ear it impresses me how well they stay in. I can’t do in ear buds.
Steven Vaughn The apple earbuds are fucking uncomfortable as hell
Thanks for the pressure info!
The fact that you mentioned the fact that fidgeting with the case as a "review thought" made me click that little red X at the top right in 2 seconds flat.

Nooo lol keep your Tik Tokness away from CZcams 😂
I prefer the airpods pro way more than the past versions especially because of the transparency mode and nose cancellation, it really feels natural and doesn't feel like there's anything in my ears at all.
Now, this is an informative video. Thanks!
At&T stores have them in stock. You’re welcome.
Thx I really thought I had to wait a month just for this to get back in stock
I’m so glad I found my airpods. Clean, in the wireless charging case in a pile of sand at the side of the road. I hit the jackpot that day lmao
DammitCarl108 I swear...
Just got AirPods and I’m having trouble customizing them through Bluetooth. Can you help, please
brandon butch i'm a truck driver nd i'm often busy on phone nd i also don't want that trucks noise creates problems when i talk to someone on phone, can u please suggest which airpods r good for me..whether i go for airpods 2 or pro but pro also seems to me much expensive..so gave me advice which one i buy ?thanks
I have the pros after having the air pods 2. I’m still on the fence. One thing I noticed with the pros is that they fall out more. I am going to change the tip and maybe that will work better? Other than that the sound is amazing
Great review!! Do you know when Apple is gonna release the AirPods in different colors, like black or red etc?
Thanks! I'm hoping the 2nd gen Pro's will come in black but I haven't seen any recent rumors so we'll have to wait until next year to see!
Brandon Butch they cant, its expensive, theyre gonna have to pay taxes to black people if they make them black, something about tax corporation. You can google its tre
@@atiqaly6567 lol what
atiq aly I lost brain cells after reading this
Ali R dnt worry you can replace those at apple store.
Very useful info. Thank you!
Are the pro comfortable if you have the side of your head on a pillow?
You should always use transparency mode whilst driving a bike! Not hearing cars is dangerous , safety first! Nevertheless great review, thx!
Riding a bike?
I had the pros for a week. They actually hurt my ears due to their new design after only 15 minutes. Specifically my left. Ended up with the Jabra 75t Actives. No pain. The APPs are awesome but not for me unfortunately. Comfort is priority one.
Which has better audio quality for phone calls?
I want to ask a question. Will charging overnight airpod pro will it ruin the battery’s?
Forgot to say that the AirPods pro allow air to pass through them to release the pressure on your ears when using ANC
He said it
I haven’t really seen ppl with the pros I’ve seen a lot of ppl with the AirPods 2 or the very first model maybe ppl are still adjusting to the extra rubber piece at the end
Amari Sanders its because they are sold out everywhere
Does somebody know what the name is of his wireless charging pad?
should i get the airpods pro or the wh-100xm3 for college
Honestly i like the the hard plastic earbud over the silicone tip, was never a fan of those type of earbuds so the pros aint for me
I just got my Pros about a week ago and experienced the same thing you did, I initially had the Mediums on and they fit fine but kept falling out and kinda hurt my ears so I switched to the Smalls, but overall they're great and I love ANC
*Update*
I actually switched to the Larges because they fit better and feel more comfortable
vSauceKing switched to large too
vSauceKing same I tried the medium and they kept falling out and I asked a friend and he said his never fell so I tried on the large and they’re perfect
Is the ACN really as good as they say it is?? And is transparency mode trash??
same problem here, ill try the large ones.
Angel Corta active noise cancelling is honestly amazing it’s perfect for me and the transparency mode is just as good it enhances your hearing like crazy
Thank you very much for this great information!
Thanks Brandon, based on your very informative factual assessment without telling us what to purchase, I’m now buying airpods pro based on my needs including that cycling that I do a lot
Tip for anyone considering making one of these types of videos- START WITH THE F****** AUDIO QUALITY
Hahaha 😂
He always saying sum extra stuff in his videos
Lmao
I have to say from upgrading from the gen 1 airpods and from cleaning them every 3 days I clean my air pods pro every 2 weeks because a little bit of wax gets stored in the ear tip
i don’t think you finished mate
Great review thank you.
hey I have a question, does the AirPods Pro have better sound quality than AirPods 2?

How do you clean ear wax off of the silicone tip of the AirPods Pro?
Thanks! Getting the Pro as a gift to my wife!:)
Good info but I wonder what the benefit is seeing your hands stress your words as they hold the AirPods.
How do these compare with the Jabra Elite 75t?
One problem is that ,for sanitary reeaons, it is probably not possible to try the pods before you buy. I have a pair of Bose, have tried the 3 sets of earpiece and can't find the ones that will stay in the ear. I hesitate to buy either Apple model, since I might encounter the same problem.
