    transparency mode is a really good feature as even if my music is quiet i can’t hear my own voice in normal mode but transparency is really good as i can hear everything almost normally. personally i think leaving it in ‘off’ (not transparency or noise cansalation) is a bad version of noice cancelling

      srmh no you don’t have to. You can just use the power brick that came with your iPhone as well as the lighting cable. The only thing that’s different is that the new cord is a lighting (side that goes into phone/AirPods) to a usb-c which instead of the usb on the lighting cable it’s a smaller plug. So that cord you get with the AirPods will be useless and you won’t need it you less you buy he new power brick they’ve come out with.

    Had a similar problem, I knew I was a medium fit but it didn’t feel comfortable, so tried each size for a day to confirm what I already knew, the thing I found was that they have to fit snugly in the ear, don’t rest them on the outside, pull your earlobe and push in, they only go so far anyway, there’s a period of adjustment as i think anything in ear will be slightly irritating, but after say a week, suddenly I don’t even notice them in my ears, wouldn’t change them for the world now!

    For me, they do fall out but only in extreme cases like one night a few days ago I had them in while I was brushing my teeth and I guess the motions of my jaw managed to cause one of them to fall out. It’s very rare and it could possibly also be due to me not popping that one bud in tightly beforehand. Otherwise, they are generally snug and don’t hurt my ears even after extended usage. I also love that they’re comfortable to sleep in too so coupled with the ANC, it makes for a great way to zone out the noise from the outside world.

      100% agree. I’ve been using AirPods for years, and have never understood why anyone would think they were uncomfortable or fit poorly. I jumped at upgrading to the AirPods Pro, but after only a few days decided to return them and go back to the AirPods 2. I am very bummed about this because I was exited about the new smaller design and the transparency. However, the larger “bulb” at the top of the AirPods pro really was putting pressure on parts of my ear that the originals never did, and I felt a lot of pain from this. As soon as I went back to the original design, the pain went away.

  • @Infinityfields
    @Infinityfields Před 4 lety +1

    Thanks for the honest review that these AirPod Pros are not for everybody, I have the same feeling as you but for a different reason. I have had my AirPods Pro for 2 months and for the last month I have had nothing but problems with them. The left side would never give me sound even when I did the test fit option it would tell me to make sure BOTH AirPods were in my ears (They were). I have had to Forget the devices and rePair them with my iPhone 11 Pro Max 6 times and even though doing this worked to get both sides working, it was only a temporary fix as the next time I put them in the left side would have no sound again! This has gone on for the past month and I finally got tired of it. I called Apple and told them of the problem, we went through several checks to make sure I had the latest iOS and firmware for the iPhone and the AirPods (they were all up to date). I told Apple that there was something wrong at Apple and that if Steve were still alive he would not stand for this kind of substandard quality product being sent to customers. I also told them I didn't pay $272.42 for a product that didn't work all the time! If I wanted that kind of quality I could buy standard plug-in headphones if Apple hadn't removed the plug-in port on the iPhones! Apple issued a return order for a credit of $263.94 which is $8.48 less than what I paid!!! To me, I would stay away from these AirPod Pro headphones! The price is outrageous for the quality you should get but are not going to get!!! Be warned once your AirPod Pro headphones start acting how they shouldn't SEND THEM BACK!!! Apple used to make products that worked, that no longer seems to be the case. I have been a user of Apple devices and computers since 2002 and when I started their products were great, now they seem to always have issues that Apple has either not tested, discovered and fixed or they just allowed them to ship without doing a Quality Assurance inspection to correct these problems. Apple seems to have gone to using the customers as their Quality inspectors and that is just wrong. In the long run, users like myself will get tired of being Apple Guinea Pigs and we will go elsewhere for our electronic devices. I did it with Microsoft when they couldn't make software that was bug-free or work without getting a virus, seems like I have to make that switch again.

    First day running with the pros, they were amazing. Second day running with them, they started slipping out of my ears. Seems like the tips have issues with holding onto oil. Hopefully the larger size works but if the don't mine are going back to. Not spending more money on different tips when they're already this expensive. Might try the Jabra 75t.

    I’m in the same boat. I am constantly adjusting them to get a snug fit. AirPod Pros are nice if you’re just staying still but yawn or smile and you’re screwed. Still debating if I’m going to return them or not. They are definitely not a replacement for regular AirPods imo

    Tbh mine falls out alot, and I mostly use the largest bud to get maximum seal/best noise cancellation which is very useful at school. The cons though and that they sometimes hurry my ears if not positioned properly, I found Vaseline in the ear can help ease the pain. However, I use the smallest one to match the original Airpods-they don't fall out, this I transition between the two.

    Have you tried the larger tips? I have very narrow ear canals too and Sony WF-1000XM3 and Cambridge Earbuds won’t go in nor seal at all if you can’t fit the small tips from Apple.
    For me, I use the medium, it feels like falling when just put on, but it’s not. It’s the soft design and the air duct making it feels like not sealing and falling in the first 2 seconds. After holding it in few seconds it actually grip my ear canals, which making the tips often flipping inside out when I pull them out of my ears. Not a problem but just a sign that it sealed my tiny ears well indeed while still feeling like loose. Just because it’s soft tip design and oval shape instead of other brands’ stubborn cylindrical shape, I don’t feel them on at all.
    If you have tried well on Sony or Cambridge, then there’s no reason why AirPods pro cant fit.

    I bought the pros a week ago and I’m returning them. They just can’t fit my ears: I changed the ear tips (left from medium to small) and they stayed in my ear better but that’s not the problem. The issue I had was the pain they gave me, even with the small ear tip I couldn’t keep them in my ears for long (after 10 minutes I started feeling the pain), I was literally suffering from wearing the AirPods Pros. Also the ANC is pretty bad, trust me: it cancels well (very well) the white noise, like a conditioner or fan, but ANY higher frequency noise is not blocked, like if someone talks, claps, shut the door (calmly) your gonna hear it, unless you’re listening to high volume music (at this point is just ignoring the noise). It’s anc is basically an anti-white noise, and no more. You could buy a better passive noice cancelling earbud and you would get the same results.

    Well I was worried that the fit will be worse than OG Airpods which was really good for me but actually it is PERFECT for me.. I'm so happy with these!
    I can understand that it might not be for everyone though depends on the ear canal.. Sucks for you to have this problem since I find the Airpods Pro my ideal 24/7 set "to go" from now on..
    And I agree with you that force sensors are not ideal since the stem is smaller but double/triple tap would create more issues as I understand it..
    Anyway I'm more than happy with my purchase I think Airpods Pro are a REAL UPGRADE and the best overall combo for those that need ANC in the smallest possible dimensions while being really lightweight and comfortable.

One of the reasons I like AirPods is that the generic round ear tips are uncomfortable, fall out and never fit. I have found many airpod pro ear tips but they all seem to be round, ruining (for me) the great airpod fit
