Ben patch bro THATS a high flyer
@@robertochua885 volleyball is not only about high fly
@@Vadim-hv6sk dude the videos we’re requesting for are players who jump high. I’m not saying volleyball is just about jumping high
@@Vadim-hv6sk read the title of the vid first bro
I luv u bro ... Plz next one ishikawa...
Id like to see a video talking about how one would optimize a 3m line attack jump while keeping the torso tall. You briefly mentioned how Nishida broad jumped with his torso a bit too low for his back row attack, which gives him the distance needed, but how would he have done that with a tall torso?
I think you have a good point here. With a back row attack, the goal is to explode forward somewhat to help hit the ball at a reasonable distance from the net to reduce the amount of time to react from the enemy team. The priority isn’t just vert here
Finally!! Thank you so much coach Tyler and team PPA for making this into reality, can't wait for it!!
Hello Haikyuu fans :D
here I am
Hello!!
Hello
Hinata Shoyo
Yo
This is gonna blow tf up bc of haikyuu fanboys lol
I don’t know anything about Haikyuu, so I’ll trust ya lol 🙌🏻
You’re not wrong, but this is the first comment I’ve seen about Haikyuu so far
@@SHIR_5 it's been a few hours give it some time. Anything with the mens japanese national team is gonna be filled with haikyuu.
@@ATP980 well technically I’m a fan of Haikyuu but I’m here for jump tips, not bc it’s about theJapanese national volleyball team
Also I’m more of a Kuroko no basket fan, I play basketball and really wanna increase my vert to be able to do a windmill by the end of 2021
excited to see this video drop!
Hey PPA! I hope you’re doing well and finding the rest of this 2020 to be somewhat enjoyable. 😁 You should do a series watching some of your subscribers jumps and rating them to help others improve themselves, just an idea.
LMAOOOOO i guess you can say the finger gun... killed me XDDDDDDDDDDDD
👉🏻👉🏻
Awesome video!!! Please do Wilfredo Leon he's really good jumper!
So this is the Baam Jump that use of Hoshiumi From Haikyuu wow
I love the breakdowns but as others have said, I think you missed the point a little bit on this one. It seemed as though you weren't aware that this was a back row attack and he's not allowed to take off from in front of the 3m line. Maybe taller players off a service reception won't have to dive much if at all, but if this was a dig (and we can't tell via the video) then he may have had to scramble back into position to begin the runup, so he may be overcompensating for a lack of horizontal momentum (seems unlikely though from the vid).
You make the point that his 'center of mass is way out in front of the penultimate toe-off' but you make it seem as though that's a bad thing... You say there's a more efficient way to cover the distance repeatedly but don't mention what that is. So how exactly is he supposed to cover almost 3 meters of horizontal distance in the air while getting enough height to hit over the net?
The back row attack in volleyball is a unique jump that isn't seen really in any other instance. The double leg bound might be the closest thing and that's just a plyo drill. Two foot jumpers never usually need to cover this much distance as they're prioritizing the vertical aspect entirely. Obviously it doesn't make sense to compare this to a single leg jump either.
Diving through the penultimate stride in a front row attack would be inefficient as you say but I don't think it's avoidable from a back row attack. Happy to be proven wrong! Would love to see more of these!
Very detailed response! Thank you! I have another video that I made detailing how to cover distance without diving and sacrificing the peak height of a jump. I don't think a broad jump is a bad thing per se, I just feel as though there is a more advantageous way to cover distance for an attacker. Thank you for taking the time to write this!
@@jumpguyty great man, I'll check it out, cheers!
@@jumpguyty I have been scrolling through your posted videos and haven't been able to find one specifically referring to back row attacks. Could you provide the link for it?
On another note, you want to broad jump a bit when hitting a d ball. You dont wanna jump straight up because you cant hit the ball down if your point of impact isnt close to the net.
Yep, but I believe there is still a more effective way of covering that distance 👊🏻
@@jumpguyty Yeah but you don’t explain it. If he kept the same form of the first jump he would jump straight up. What needs to change to achieve the broad jump required for a back row attack?
yuji is ny favorite volleyball player
Hey Tyler! Im not really competent but could it be that on the second jump Ishida willingly leaded with his mass to get more forward momentum? Since its a second line attack he really needed some of that.
You’re not wrong! The point is that tweaking some technique could help him jump more efficiently and cover the same distance!
@@jumpguyty Ok. So diving tru penultimates does not only translate into forward momentum but is overall wrong right?
I thought of this as well haha
@@jumpguyty I thought the same, that he was "diving" in order to get more carry since it was a back row attack. In this case, what tweak(s) would make the jump more efficient yet still cover that distance? Because it's something that's very common in volleyball. Thanks.
The Dunker: Isaiah Rivera
We have done one on Isaiah!
Basketball jumps please!! The ones with the timing of ball dips and the jump for dunking. Interesting to see it broken down on the relationship on dipping the ball before the jump occurs
I love yuji’s face when he scores
>:O
great vid. Started watching you because of your haikyuu reactions but now I want to learn them hops.
He just built different
Thank you!!! Awesome video, can you do the analysis about Wilfredo leon and Victor Poleatev please💪🏼
Yuji is a fucking beast
React to Ran Takahashi. 18years old, just got into japan's national volleyball team.
Can u PLZZ make one more video on Nishida but in it PLZZ focus on trunk position and arm swing
Plz give us knowledge about arm swing . It also play a vital role in jump
It sure does!
Hey could you oso cover the landing mechanics?
DO wilfredo Leon, he a beast
Can you do like vertical average or stats for different ages? Great content
He is based on the player, Ushijima Wakatoshi.
Shut up
Wouldn’t it be the opposite?
Shut up
This is a joke right?
@@alverofathir I hope
Feels nice being here before all the haikyu stans
Lol you think they’ll enjoy it!?
Oh yeah this video is awesome!!
Sir please breakdown arm swing n trunk importance in jump of volleyball
Your video are so fun and interesting
Hi, most high jumpers when jumping their legs tend to fold up. Is it deliberately folding up or a natural thing? And how does the leg folding up help with jumping?
It’s a naturally thing that happens with proper penultimate step and push off.
@@sayokrai3827 ahh i see thanks!
Being a poor jumper when I deliberately try to do that I look awful 🤣🤣 working on it is my new year resolutions
@@kishoridhurva dont work on it just try to improve your jump technique its not important.

@PPA - Can you break down Avery Skinner's (OH for Kentucky U.) spike approach? I'd love to see her swing technique along with it, in slow mo. She has really grabbed my attention over the past few months. Hammering the ball, fast! Thanks.
Taylor Sander, ajithlal chandran, or Yuki ishikawa please dad🙏🙏
Love and respect from northeast india🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Heyy! Heyy! Heyyy!
Nice skit at the beginning 😂
0:49 oh my god this is my first exposure to you be gentle 😂
funny as heck this video loved it 😂
Glad you liked it 🙏🏻🙏🏻
can u make a content like this, but in different sport? like badminton.. (since badminton use a lot of vertical jump)
You could also react to a scene in Haikyuu a complimation where hinata suprises everybody with his jumps and/or his jumps
Love this!
Awesome breakdown coach l
pls do Badminton Jump smashes breakdown cause it has different dynamics than other sports. 😅
please do yanagida masahiro
Could you please do a breakdown of T-Dub, a dunker. For volleyball, could you also maybe do Chai Yang? Chai Yang is I believe 162 cm and has a running vertical of 320cm.
Wtf do people call ishikawa the real life hinata when Yuki nishida jumps higher and is shorter
Why tf*
You should check out josh barrina too. Guy is a weak 5'9 and touches 11'3.
Josh is actually is a PPA Coach! 🙌🏻
@@jumpguyty yes coach but he's an amazing athlete too...he has got a crazy 45 inch vertical, it's more than 99% of professional athletes.
Edit: would love to see his technique breakdown.
@@Dev-by4mp we are very aware! I have personally tested Josh’s vertical on a few occasions. Josh and I are good buddies and yes, he’s a super athlete!
@@jumpguyty okay coach
Is it a bad habit to land on one foot as it is more prone to injury? What are your thoughts?
good shoes can reduce injuries
Please do Jordan Kilganon the best dunker🙏
YUKI ISHIKAWA NEXT PLEASEEE :D
amazing
Hey Coach! Just a quick question. I've found when I slightly dive into my penultimate (compared to chest being really tall) I get maybe 1-2 inches extra because of the bigger arm swing. Is this ok?
Love this
i never really understood the technique and how power transfers making your jump higher
but im short but i wanna fly very high. even though my muscles arent fully developed for jumping i hope that by using very good technique i could dramatically increase my jump height
right now with my imperfect jump i can only reach just barely past my wrist over the net
that intro was a bit jarring but I liked it!
This guy could probably jump more than 50 inches
I can't be the only one who became interested in volleyball because of Haikyuu
Dear god.
Couch! we really wanna know nishida... Vertical jump? Does he reach above 50 inches or...???
Chair! We'd have to test him to know for sure, but he jumps high af!
@@jumpguyty sir, according to your experience.. We wanna that??? Approximately??? Please sir??love and support from North East India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Im worried about his landings
definitely haikyuu is about yuji nishida now i realise😂
Pls do Hinata shoyo😂😂
do one for Bokuto Kotarou next
Is it possible that 5'4ft can do that?
😂 sure, something that’s god given, that’s taken him to the level of athlete he’s become... is wrong in someone’s opinion. I can follow all these rules as much as I want, and follow them to a T, I still won’t be a national level athlete.
This guy makes highest jumpers in the world jump higher by couple jump technique sessions dude. No matter how good he is there is no reason to stop there
Im 176cm but i can touch 3m height
Where is hinata gang
Oh no..
Do a breakdown for the Haikyuu character Hinata
Wilferdo Leon is not technically sound bro .... He have height of 2o2 but japanese players r small n there r soo sound with technique
We are here to breakdown and provide insight to all iterations of technique 🙌🏻
Nishida vertical in inches

I want learn Running RL jump
he is like short ushijima he generates huge jumps and power like him.pls dont call him hinata.and actually nishida is as tall as uahijima of shiratorizawa like 6.1 and 6.2 but in general every player on the other teams are above that height so thats why the Japanese players look small
Do Ja Morant
Real life hinata with black hair #haikyuuanime
Oh no..
Music is too distracting 😕
I am haikyuu fan
there is absolutely no way he jumps higher than victor politev from russia
nishida is cool but haikyuu annoying fans totally overhyped him, anything that is volleyball and japanese gonna attract them like sugar for ants
...theres many better jumper than nishida like ben patch or fran ruiz who doesnt get the appreciation they needed
LOL
Aka Hinata
Can you make these on dunkers please? Most men play basketball not volleyball
While you may not be completely wrong from a statistical standpoint we prefer to be as inclusive as possible of all genders in all sports. We have a breakdown of Conor Barth and another Isaiah Riviera on our channel. Be sure to check them out.
