LPB-CABL 2023 Governor's Debate

Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) and the Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL) are partnering once again to host a debate featuring the candidates running in the Louisiana governor’s race.
The event will be hosted by Karen LeBlanc, co-host of LPB’s weekly news program Louisiana: The State We’re In, and Barry Erwin, CABL President. Serving as moderators: Kara St. Cyr, co-host of Louisiana: The State We’re In, Greg Hilburn, Louisiana politics reporter for the USA Today Network, and Julie O’Donoghue, senior writer at the Louisiana Illuminator.

Nearly every answer to every question contained the word 'invest'. Throwing money at problems simply doesn't work, we need leaders with imagination and creative solutions.

The current saltwater intrusion in the Mississippi River is due to lack of rain, however, Sharon Hewitt must have no idea about the problems with the marsh, land loss, etc. that has most certainly been caused over the past century as a result of chopping up the land with canals. It is hard for me to believe that she gave that statement at
