After working through differences and each side making concessions, a budget emerged that the legislature approved and Gov Bashear signed. The truth is that Gov Bashear's original budget, before concessions had to be made, contained larger raises than the legislature approved. Gov Bashear took what he could get and his new budget is even bolder in asking for 11% across the board raises. This is a governor who is fighting to get the workers the salaries they deserve. That's how it works. It starts with the governor. And if the governor had gotten his way, Kentucky's workers would be much better off. Let's hope the legislature is more generous to every day Kentuckians on the next budget.

I find his comments against Planned Parenthood disgusting as this is a non-profit organization that has done so much to help millions of women. They give free birth control to women that can’t afford it as we still do not have universal health care like the majority of other countries do. Planned Parenthood provides a lot of wonderful services other than abortion counseling. They actually found that my sister had endometrial cancer when 3 other doctors she went to couldn’t be bothered to do further testing. Planned Parenthood did this for her free of charge but she had to pay out a hefty 3k to the 3 useless doctors that did nothing because she didn’t have health insurance at the time. So I’m incensed listening to Mr. Cameron as he sits on his pulpit slamming Planned Parenthood. Not to mention he is man who will never have to deal with any of these above mentioned issues but thinks he knows what’s best and that he is the voice of the thousands of women in this state that may already have several children and are living below the poverty line?! I think not!! He is just another career politician trying to make a name for himself so he can climb his way up the political ladder so he can get his palms greased like the rest of them! No Govt. official should ever have the right to dictate who someone can love, what they can do with their own body, decide how parents make decisions for their own children, or what people can or cannot read! Even Mitch McConnell knew Jan 6 was horrible. He tried to get help and told truth. It wasn't all Trump's fault .. He didn't do anything to stop if either. All those individual messes apparently never heard their mom say, " If...jumps in the Fire are you? " He had others that supported him and didn't break into our capital for the world to see. That should have woke up more people. Yes the FbI arrested and many have long jail terms. I hope they have to watch every film that shows true history and true war scenes of all those that died for us.
