What would be helpful is showing where you clicked to land, the biome type, what it looked like when you land, etc. these locations are not all that random, it appears to be a set number of prebuilt locations in each biome. You could save all of us a lot of time but instead just skipped over it

I might be missing something. Seems you need to put 10 skill pts in science to unlock the ability to place a landing pad on Venus due to extreme environment. Am i right about that? Great video though!

Just a heads up, I did this. Took me about 30 landings to find the right type of civilian outpost with the bar type trader. Once I did it worked great for the first couple of visits. Then I went back and all the npcs at the outpost, including the trader were just gone. It might not happen when you try it, but it could. Put me off trying to do that again.
Bessel 3B has another location (took me about 15-20 min). Only problem is the bar top is 5 stools across. If you’re in the middle stool, you won’t be able to talk to the vendor if he’s at one of the sides.

Yeah for real. Prob best to just wait at Kryx station and sell 40k at a time and while waiting 24 hours per wait for 2 minutes just clean your room or do laundry lol
The Den is not faster than this method you have 2 vendors who you can sell to (15,000-16,000 total) but you have to wait 2 days for the shops to reset. With this method you sell 33% slower. But that 1 hr wait is what makes it guide better.
The best way to stock up (like bro said in the video) is by always buying your favorite type of weapon ammo, med packs, trauma packs, emergency kits and Panacea.
I actually use this same technique at the start of the game. But instead of shopkeepers I aimed for C class ships landing as I excited my NG+ ship.
Yeah the den is terrible IMO. Not even top 3. Nice for contra selling but thats about it

Note. I believe you need your outpost habitation skill at 3 to do this.
Umm. Today I was replicating USS Voyager (Delta Quadrant Variant) and I was building the rear aft section; I ended up using a single habitation pod to get the steep incline towards the cockpit section; I ended up with these little boxes only accessible from the cockpit and docking port. Due to size limitations, I now have little pockets of resources that don’t affect my ship weight and zero ship storage or cargo holds. My ship flies like a jet fighter. Praying they don’t fix this glitch. I’m actually enjoying the game without the need for so much farming.

Venus is an EXTREME environment planet so, for you to be able to build outposts, you need to level up the Outposts perk that allow you to build on Extreme planets likes Venus.
What interface is that for your inventory? Is that what it looks like on console or is that a mod?

I've played since day one and still can't find that Venus vender. Too time consuming to run around encumbered looking for a random generated vender. I'll stick with the Den. 11,000 credit with a seat to wait, no scanning for contraband either. Takes one minute per a 24 hr wait. 2 minutes of your time with no running around.
Den is yucky. It took me a bit but I found it using these techs. Def very fast
You don’t need to carry all the loot. You can still have access to sell your ship inventory at any of the Venus or Bessel 3B 1hr reset outpost
If it helps you, the loot you drop in your ship floor, I mean, not even the cargo, just the floor, won't go away. So if you want to look for a vendor, drop the loot in your ship, go for it, go back to the ship and sell.
I finally found the venus vender. I realized after several attempts at landing and searching for an outpost icon that i had to just look for all the structure icons while scanning ( the unknown icons that like stone doorways) the icon transforms once you approach a location is discovered. So, once I found it I set an outpost and landing pad as close as allowable to the outpost. Got to have the skill level to land on a hostile environment like venus as well. The location is great for selling weapons and stuff valued at 5000 creds or less. Venus vender is not so great for selling higher valued weapons, contraband and stolen goods. The Den is the stop for that stuff. Thanks for the info!!

Sorry but I just don't get it. I have to go to all the bother of finding this outpost an then I can only sell 5k at a time.
If I fly to Akila and go to the trade Authority I can sell 11k at a time. Yes I have to wait twice to reset the stock vendor credits, but to sell on Venus I would have to do that twice just to sell 10k loot.
Seriously we are talking seconds in the difference, so unless the Venus trader has items that cant be bought at a Trade Authority I really don't see the point.
Just because Universal Time is different on these planets to local time it makes no difference whatsoever to the player as you are operating in REAL WORLD time, not UT and not Local. The difference between UT and Local only make a difference when you have extractors or manufactures working.
I bet I can sell 50k loot as quickly in Akila as you can on Venus
Neon has a better sell run with about 5 or 6 vendors you can sell to. I usually just sell to trade authority and next door to TA is Neon Tactical. I believe one is 11k the other vendor is 12k..give or take 500 credits. Both have benches to wait. If you want you can run to Kore Kinetics as well for another 11kish vendor.
@@bazzzinga411 But why the ridiculously low limit of credits for the traders in first place. Double the credits the traders have and at the same time have the slider in UT time not Local with a max of 48 hours.
Simple solution, simple fix, you would wonder who in Bethesda was making these decision and did they actually think them through
Got amazingly lucky and found this on the first try. But when I tried to drop a outpost to make sure I could return to it later, I got the error message about my outpost building skills were not high enough to build in that type of hazardous environment. Is there an easy way to quickly and cheaply get to a higher level with outpost building. Thanks
In my other video I timed them. Akila is like Neon which finished last by a long shot
