I built some massive outposts very intricate, everything sorted pretty much OCD. Spent an enormous amount of time making outposts in the last three weeks and made them the best they could be only to find out the game can't handle it. I played for a week at launch and then haven't played it untill a three weeks ago and then now I won't be playing it ever again. This game really is an embarrassment.

another video about making outpost and selling to traders in Venus that doesn't say the most important thing about making an outpost here. Venus is an EXTREME environment planet so, for you to be able to build outposts, you need to level up the Outposts perk that allow you to build on Extreme planets likes Venus.

Umm. Today I was replicating USS Voyager (Delta Quadrant Variant) and I was building the rear aft section; I ended up using a single habitation pod to get the steep incline towards the cockpit section; I ended up with these little boxes only accessible from the cockpit and docking port. Due to size limitations, I now have little pockets of resources that don’t affect my ship weight and zero ship storage or cargo holds. My ship flies like a jet fighter. Praying they don’t fix this glitch. I’m actually enjoying the game without the need for so much farming.

I just thought of a great mod. All these resources we mine, we can drop them on the ground and stick them together to form structures! Sadly, my modding skills are weak....

I head straight to the Trade Authority in the Well in Jemison. Once I run Zoe out of money I sit in the chair behind the desk, assuming Zoe isn't sitting in it, and wait 1 day before selling again. Time on New Atlantis is 1 local hour = 2 hours UT. So just waiting one day = 48 hours UT. You don't even have to get up to sell stuff to Zoe. Just go into third person and look around and you can interact with Zoe without getting up. If I have contraband I either go to the Den or the Red Mile. If I have anything that is worth more than 11k I will buy ammo, first aid stuff, or resources that are hard to find to pad out Zoe's cash reserves. I have tired all the different towns with lots of shops. All that running from shop to shop is a waste of time. In my opinion the Venus Civilian Outposts are too much trouble to find and they only have 5K credits which is a joke late game when one weapon is worth more than 5K. The Key is probably faster than sitting around at the TA on Jemison but you have to do Crimson Fleet quest line and I don't bother to do so during my NG+ runs. I don't like the SysDef Commander, who flat out blackmails you. Plus I don't like any of the Crimson Fleet characters, they are pirates after all. If I had my way I would have taken the money and run. A pox on both their houses as it were. You missed a couple of stores on Neon. There is a weapons dealer in the lobby of the Ryujin Tower on the left hand side. Plus another weapons dealer in the Trade tower, Kore Kinetics. You need to take the elevator that is off to the right of the Trade Tower lobby.

This is unrealistic walking on Venus because not only it's 900 degrees but the atmospheric pressure is extremely high, you'd be crushed about instantly unless you wear an EXTREMELY STRONG suit or armor to withstand the pressure. The pressure can crush a car. They say Venus would be the most dangerous planet to explore

What would be helpful is showing where you clicked to land, the biome type, what it looked like when you land, etc. these locations are not all that random, it appears to be a set number of prebuilt locations in each biome. You could save all of us a lot of time but instead just skipped over it

If you're doing neon core you should just go ahead and teleport to Venus Outpost sleep for 6 hours come back and grab the contraband

I might be missing something. Seems you need to put 10 skill pts in science to unlock the ability to place a landing pad on Venus due to extreme environment. Am i right about that? Great video though!

Note. I believe you need your outpost habitation skill at 3 to do this.

You could make a way better version of this style of ship. There is absolutely no reason for that amount of cargo space. You could do every bit of content there is to do in the game and loot every single thing you see and keep it all forever and probably not hit much more than 40k. You could easily lose half the cargo modules and allow for the addition of other habs and structural pieces. Then you could actually make a ship that looks like a ship instead of a box and is super functional on the interior and far superior to this performance wise at the same time.

I've played since day one and still can't find that Venus vender. Too time consuming to run around encumbered looking for a random generated vender. I'll stick with the Den. 11,000 credit with a seat to wait, no scanning for contraband either. Takes one minute per a 24 hr wait. 2 minutes of your time with no running around.

Umm just run a trader mod, there are some damn good ones and most of them scale with your commerce level which makes sense

The Den is not faster than this method you have 2 vendors who you can sell to (15,000-16,000 total) but you have to wait 2 days for the shops to reset. With this method you sell 33% slower. But that 1 hr wait is what makes it guide better. The best way to stock up (like bro said in the video) is by always buying your favorite type of weapon ammo, med packs, trauma packs, emergency kits and Panacea. I actually use this same technique at the start of the game. But instead of shopkeepers I aimed for C class ships landing as I excited my NG+ ship.

What interface is that for your inventory? Is that what it looks like on console or is that a mod?

Sorry but I just don't get it. I have to go to all the bother of finding this outpost an then I can only sell 5k at a time. If I fly to Akila and go to the trade Authority I can sell 11k at a time. Yes I have to wait twice to reset the stock vendor credits, but to sell on Venus I would have to do that twice just to sell 10k loot. Seriously we are talking seconds in the difference, so unless the Venus trader has items that cant be bought at a Trade Authority I really don't see the point. Just because Universal Time is different on these planets to local time it makes no difference whatsoever to the player as you are operating in REAL WORLD time, not UT and not Local. The difference between UT and Local only make a difference when you have extractors or manufactures working. I bet I can sell 50k loot as quickly in Akila as you can on Venus

Just a heads up, I did this. Took me about 30 landings to find the right type of civilian outpost with the bar type trader. Once I did it worked great for the first couple of visits. Then I went back and all the npcs at the outpost, including the trader were just gone. It might not happen when you try it, but it could. Put me off trying to do that again.
