@@tahunuva4254 _Myst_ already got remade twice-first as the "Masterpiece Edition" with remastered pictures and then in 2021 as a fully 3D game with VR support (so essentially a _RealMyst_ remake).

As a millennial (and Brazilian), I've never heard of this game until yesterday. Bonus points for the voice acting being unchanged, it resumes the Brazilian dubs of many audiovisual media from 80s ~ late 90s.

The portuguese verb "resumir" isn't a 1:1 with "resume". You're looking for "encapsulates", "summarizes" or "sums up".

Games like this are one of the many things that have kept me watching Vinny's streams for 10 years. They're always super weird, but strangely thought provoking. I appreciate that Vinny is open minded enough to play through them.
Nice to mention this was the author's PhD thesis. The voice actors are his friends and he is very happy the game has gotten some traction, he also has a CZcams channel: @kozma games ! Its nice seeing Brasil taking over!

I was going to watch this later, but the last time I was going to watch a vinesauce vod of a weird, point and click game from 1999 later, it got taken down and we found out someone was trying to erase a small yellow bear girl in a blue dress, from the entire Internet, and I never got to see that stream.

@@juliuscampbell2860 Vinny streamed a simultaneously weird yet charming game called Cookie's Bustle - it was an amazing stream, it even has a ear-worm theme song. but unfortunately someone has been on a quest to delete the game's presence from the internet and basically any video on youtube with any footage of that game at all seems to get taken down eventually.

Uh oh... surrealist obscure point and click game from the 90s? Last time Vinny did that, I ended up spending a ton on Residents albums and merch.
Now I'm curious which game that was. The most recent one I'm aware of is _The Neverhood_ and I don't think there's any Residents connection there. Did I miss something cool?

I miss this era of PC games, there were so many out there games you could find, I remember finding this game and playing it with my siblings about a Grandma on Mushrooms tripping balls and it was slightly Alice in Wonderland themed (I think?) I believe it was called Armed and Delirious or something along those lines
@enduser925 I have to check it out for nostalgia's sake, thanks! I remember it being difficult, as a kid I just remember constantly getting lost and not knowing what to do. The atmosphere was so cool though
@@enduser925 Also apparently some of the puzzle solutions are based on puns that only worked in the original Hebrew.
The main comparison for this is obviously The Museum of Anything Goes, but this game is trying to be educational(and came off a little too fart-huffy for me) while Museum is actively trying to be as absurd and strange as possible. There's still a lot to enjoy in this one if you enjoy the other; the encyclopedia-text dumps just kept pulling me out of it.

to be fair, this came out when the Internet was in its infancy, and years before Wikipedia. If you wanted to learn about this sort of stuff, you either had to go to the library or get a CD-ROM encyclopedia, which is kind of where this is aiming, just with some gameplay to keep you entertained while providing information on the topic.
This was a PhD thesis so yeah, there will be a lot of text dumps.

That reminds me, he totally needs to watch the Ross's Game Dungeon two-parter on _Armed and Delirious_ if he hasn't already. As per Ross's own recommendations, he should not bother attempting to actually play it (at least not without more help than was available when Ross played it), but thematically I think he'd get a kick out of how bizarre it is.

Vinny needs to check out Endacopia, it's only a demo right now but it's a pretty good surreal point and click game.
A straw has two holes. If it only had one, it would end at the bottom/top, making it impossible to sip through. I think of it as a cylinder: the two circles are replaced with nothing, so, two holes.

Idk why but this doesn't impress me as much as other Surrealist games of it's ilk. The animation quality feels kind of counter to the unconcious notions its trying to create.
