While I always turn off motion blur in every game I play, Elden ring is the one game where I think turning motion blur on (at low only) actually makes things look a bit better in motion. Perhaps that’s an anti ailsing issue but either way I’d recommend everyone try low vs off to see what you prefer
Yeah you really shouldn't turn it off in every game unless they have a really poor implementation of it (which granted is most games) at least per object motion blur sjhould always be on to portray the correct sense of speed. I do agree camera motion blur is always awful though unles you have fps problems.
Just by the grass setting I can safely say that you haven’t tested it properly. Not only there’s a huge difference between medium and high and above in performance but also visually - the examples you showed us looked more like lower quality because grass on high+ looks beautiful and is way more dense
Motion Blur is more useful than it seems if you have a 60hz monitor, I verified this with Forza horizon 4, this option actually softens the movement in general a lot and gives a very good feeling when your Fps are locked at 60 (bottleneck due to the monitor or even due to low fps), perhaps personal taste influences but in my case it is quite pleasant, in Fromsoftware games I usually keep it active.
I just bought a Samsung Crystal 7000 UHD. At first I was HIGHLY disappointed! The settings for BOTH the console AND the TV need to be set differently. I had to go darker than recommended for both. Then some tweaks here and there for certain games. I can tell you after all of this...WOW! Elden Ring shines better than ever. And another game that benefits greatly, Jedi Survivor. Man these 2 games go great!
thanks for the vid idk why people feel so entitled to flame you taking your time out of the day for a demonstration... i got a rough idea and move onto other comparison videos because like any normal person you do your research from multiple sources
This video wasn't very useful. I think running each graphic option with a benchmark while also having a comparison between graphics would of been more useful. Also your video was very different in terms of what things looked like at different settings compared to others.
As much as I love Elden Ring, the optimisation is deep fried. On a very high end PC setup, I can't afford to have RTX on while in 4K as the game won't hold 60 fps.
Yeah, the settings dont really allow for drastic changes in visuals. It's only slight tweaks which makes it way harder to optimise for without modding.
I have the game everything on ultra, and the only time it lags is when a dragon does a fly by attack and does any of the breath attacks. Anyone knows which option i should turn down so it wont happen? As far as i know, even 4080s are sttrugling with it, maybe because of the breath expanding on the ground.
I use the frame rate unlocker. I know the issue you're talking about but afaik there isn't really a fix aside from letting the game run wide open. As great as the game is, 144fps with gsync made it that much better and got rid of the random stutters.
My best guess is that it's the particle effects. As far as I'm aware there is no way to turn this down without modding. to get more stable frames, it might be worth using a third party program like MSI after burner & Riva Tuner to lock the fps so your frame times are minimal and you have less stutter overall.
every game's graphics quality increase varies alot. In some games, medium to high shadow quality are barely distinguishable, while medium looks dogshit in others.

in fact, the grass quality is one of the most demanding settings of the game, between medium and high I have 15fps of difference on some forest zones
Hey include the fps counter too. The point should be to show the performance impact of each setting.
his computer is not the same as yours
Useless video, sorry. The screenshots or screen captures are not taken at good spaces.
Thank you for your input, I'll keep it in mind for the future!

Tyvm. This is very useful for a new player.
What do you think about ray traycing?
There are settings other than max everything or personal preference for things like motion blur and depth of field?
This is great, thanks
You're welcome!
Honestly theres much better guides out there on this topic that actually benchmark the fps hit vs the image quality for various settings.
Thanks a lot, needed that ❤
thank you for explanation!

Define "very high end..." I'm using a 9700k with a 3090 and can't get it to go below 60-70 anywhere.
@@XGARBAGExBO2 im on a 3080 in 4K and everything on low is sometimes SCRAPING 60, caves and closed proximities, open world i dont even touch 50
add frame rate to settings you're comparing and also upload in 1440p. Otherwise Nice Video
What the hell is that popping noise in the background
It was the music from youtubes music library, safe to say I wont be using it again - thanks for your input!

4090 struggles with any RTX option in 4K.

try disabling rebar or sam

erm... isn't this just describing what the settings do?

I cant turn tge setting on
No offense but this is pointless
Is this a joke? Every still is the same
Is this a joke or are you blind?
@@AidanMcSweeney-rt7gh brother, he didn't even leave to the main menu so some of the settings can actually change. what are you smoking?
@954tris Dunno, forgot what happened in the video. This was 2 months ago... But I still stand by what I said I guess.
Or if you have a beefy enough PC just set everything to max and call it a day.
what is considered beefy
