- In this video I build all the terrain pieces for my Oldhammer battlefield. Rivers, farms, forests and hills. All made to look like they did back in the day when I was a kid.
Models are from the following companies:

www.infinitedi...
/ terrain4print
Theme song by Jakob Oldenburg

This is cool !
Thanks
i loved this old battlefield
Me too!
This is Awesome!
Bang on job!
Thank you so much!
The nostalgia is so good. It brings me back to when I was 10 or so, when I started with warhammer. It was at the cusp of the edition with the plastic empire and orc starter box. What I loved about it is that it was a bit more cartoony and at the same time historic, depending on the faction. Low fantasy with a streak of humor in it. I much preferred it to the current high fantasy style. It was simple and easy to the eye, but at the same time endearing and gorgeous. This type of terrain fitted perfectly with it. beautiful but not overly complex. Just the right balance. I look forward to the next parts.
Thanks. I totally agree!!!
Great Idea:) Thank you! Love the OLD HAMMER!
Thanks!
Glad to see you back mate
Tahnk you so much! Glad to be back!
I like it. Nice.
Thanks
Looking good! Brings back so many memories. 🤗
Thanks
Good to see you back
Thank you
Glad to have you back, especially with an oldhammer project, no less!
Thanks. Glad to be back!
great.
Thanks
way back when, 40k tables weren't too different to FB. Green grass, trees, hills, rocks etc are universal. Im quite happy for the odd tavern, cottage or old farmhouse to make it in to the 41 millennium too lol. This kind of terrain is much more fun to make, paint etc I personally find,
I agree!
Such a wonderful and nostalgic board. Brings back memories of reading the old red book over and over back in the day.
Thanks! That was the aim!
welcome back!
Thanks!
looking forward to part two!
oh wait its out already, nice!
Yup!
I love seeing those old books and the classic terrain look. I started in 5th ed and that's the look I still love.
Thanks. Me too
You're the first crafter on here I've seen take care to protect their lungs when cutting foam. Good on you! Results look great.
Thanks! 😷
Love your hobby work!
Thanks
Wow. Haven't played 40k for 25 years, and WFB for nearly 30 (im 47 lol) but that was straight out of my memories of White Dwarf and building our own scenery.
Well done good job 👏
Thank you very much
Nice to see you back Lybban! Välkommen tebaks.
Tackar!!!
Still got a cardbox box full of those hill pices from the early 90s
They are nice!
Classic! Beautiful to see, brings back all the memories!!!!
Thank you!
When i used to play, this is exactly how the terrain looked! I'm glad I found my way back to this hobby after all these years. I can't wait for part 2!
Thanks. Its the same for me!!!
Amazing project, and the video came out just when I was contemplating what terrain to build for my upcoming warmaster project. Now I just can't wait for the next part!
Thanks. I am making a warmaster board video as soon as i can. Printing a lot of stuff for it now.
@@Lybbansminiatures brilliant news, though even this video has already been very helpful indeed. I'll go a bit more naturalistic with the hills, but the basic selection of terrain pieces and the dimensions of rivers, hills and forests will probably be very close to the ones shown in the video to allow for use with both 28mm and 10mm models
Looks great! Can't wait for the rest of this series!
Thanks
This is looking so good. Excited to see the finished board.
Thank you
Fantastic! Well done capturing that old school vibe.
Thanks!
good vid homie! Keep it up
Thanks!!!
Glad to see you back. I figured you would be when I saw you in Squidmar's video.
Thank you. Glad to be back
So excited to see the rest of this, I'm so nostalgic for this era of Warhammer!
Thanks. Me too!!!
thx
😀
I can't believe I haven't been recommended your videos before now! Your stuff is amazing!! Learned more tips from watching an hour of your stuff then I have in the last year!
Wow. Thanks for the kind words. That means a lot and makes this worth doing!
You’re right about 2.5 cm.. The thickness would be based on inches, and we still have 1 and 2 inch pink and blue insulation foam here.
Cool. Thats what i thought! Thanks
The wizards tower ruin is so cool!
Thanks
Looking forward to seeing how this comes together! I've been putting together a 4th/5th edition Wood Elves army over the last year and a bit, building the dream army I couldn't make when I was a teenager. You just can't beat ranked up units fighting atop a grassy plain!
Cool! Oldhammer is da bomb
Good to see you back at it, I see I'm not the only one repurposing the tennis table for permanent gaming purposes :)
Haha to my familys disdain
Love your videos! The Mordheim terrain ones blew me away and are such an inspiration! Looking forward to this series as well. Always envious of people who have SO MUCH room to make and store all these terrain pieces... hopefully some day!
Thanks!!! I took a while to get here. Keep dreaming
Welcome back man. I've been watching your old vids recently. Especially painting oldhammer stuff. You are an exceptional builder. Hope to see much more soon.
Thank you so much
Welcome back! I watched your old Mordheim board build a year ago and have been waiting for the time when I could make my own, finally a few days ago I got the space and tools to build it and just as I started you came back, it’s like it was meant to happen!! :)
Thats wonderful. Good luck!!!
Really glad that you're making videos again! I loved the mordheim board build and watched it multiple times. This was a great video and I'm excited about the rest of the series 👍
Thank you so much!
Saw you in Squidmar's video and so glad I followed the link to here. This is a really inspirational video, that so makes me want to get off my backside and do some hobbying. Thanks!
Thank you so much and good luck
I love your terrain builds brother. You should really wear a respirator, or at least a mask when you cut and sand hardboard though. The binding agent for that stuff is made with formaldehyde and you don't want to be inhaling all that dust and embalming chemicals.
Thanks man. I usually do wear a mask when doing that. Great tip though!
So glad to see you again, your builds are incredibly inspiring! And honestly I just find it very relaxing to watch you crafting
Thank you so much!
7:55 I'm not doing a oldschool board but this bit is a revelation
Cool!
These are great videos, really love watching you work. Im going to have to try some of these ideas for my self.
Thank you so much!
👍👍
😁
This looks great! But PLEASE, please wear a respirator while using the wire cutter on polystyrene. The fumes are incredibly toxic.
Thanks. I know. I do that normally. Forgot that time.
Asså Stiga pingisbordet! Brings me back man!👌 Grym video💥💥💥
Haha tackar
Looks great. But wear a mask if your sanding MDF the dust it creates is quite harsh on the lungs.
Thanks for the tip!
Hi! I've just discover your channel and will dig in. I have to stop the video to point something important about security and health care. About sanding and the hot wire tool it may be a good thing to say to wear a mask and have a good ventilated area... I stop being the bad guy and return enjoying your video.
Yes. That is true. I did wear a mask for smoe of these parts but i should have made that clearer.
Old school FaBa content -> I subscribe. Simple as.
Sweet!
This looks great! Love the aesthetic. I should mention though, that if that is MDF you're using for the bases and cutting them, you should have a ventilator. That stuff is not good for you when cut.
Thanks. Will keep that in mind!
Looks great, gives me a lot of nostalgia!
What are these bases made out of?
Thanks. The bases are 3mm hardboard or mdf
Brilliant videos and great results! Så imponerande. Must ask, where did you get the moulds for the rock formations?
Tackar. Köpte dem på mj hobby. Det är woodland scenics har jag för mig
The old green grass matt seems impossible to find today. Any suggestions (6'x4' 180cmx120cm)?
I got mine second hand. There are mats sold at most model railway shops but i think most of them are on paper, this one was cloth and kinda stretchy wich made it perfect for glueing flat
Nice video. Did you experience any warping issues on your base boards? Since a lot of texture, glue etc is added on 1 side and the boards are very thin? Same question for the big table plate with the map. Any warp there?
Thanks. No i use hardboard that doesnt warp at all. There are special kinda that are coated with some kind of oil that prevents warping. Check your local hardwarestore.
I miss oldhammer. Massed armies was so much better than skirmish crap
Me too!!!
Great video!! Where are the trees from??
Thanks. They are a mix of old games workshop trees and some new ones from a seedish retailer called conrad.se
Do you know who makes the trees you used? I’ve been trying to find some classic looking trees
Its a mix of the old citadel trees sold by games workshop long ago and railroad model treas from a swedish vendor called conrad
Hey, stone walls (stenmurar) from Terrain4Print, right? :-)
Oh yeah. Thats where i got them. Will update that. Thanks
@@Lybbansminiatures It's always nice to see designs I made being used. Looking forward to see you continue this project.
@@terrain4print they are great! Thanks
Can I order hills from you? Please!
Hello. Maybe that can be arranged. You can pm me on my instagram account with the same name
Awesome video, you got a new sub.
It's sad that now it's almost unfathomable that Gdubs once put out books on creating terrain,I wouldn't be surprised at all if the modern day company has hired hitmen to go around the world and destroy every known copy in existence because it effects their bottom line 😂! Sadly it's become a boring monopose hobby where passionate creative hobbyist are not only discouraged but openly punished!
Thanks. Yes its a sad progression of events.
What kind of gaming mat is that???
Its the old citadel battlemat from games workshop
I need to get my hands on it, it's so awesome. Do you know if anyone sells them?
@@dominicferronato4806 sadly they are no longer in production but i got one second hand that was in mint condition. They are really good and sturdy
Awesome Video. That is a serious business hot wire hand held you have... can i ask the manufacturer? Thanks!
Thanks!! Its from Proxxon. Great cutters
When Warhammer was good; not this "Age of Fig-Marr" BS; Rank n Flank Forever!
Indeed!!!
haha fönstret bakom dig är så typiskt svenskt så man nästan får nostalgiska vibbar redan där
Haha sant!
