    • @1988sheldon
      @1988sheldon Před 4 lety +36

      United also beat Chelsea this season 4-0 but if u watch the game Chelsea had a lot of chances. Sometimes the score doesn't reflect the tactical game plan. The 3-4-3 system is a strong well disciplined system that is based on narrowing an opponent's strikers to balls from top and then hitting them on counters. Chelsea did that thd entire season. Sometimes do watch a game before making some idiotic comment

    • @HHHBFResurrected
      @HHHBFResurrected Před 3 lety +8

      @@1988sheldon Both Alonso & Moses attacked that season meaning we always went forward with five players, often six when Kante joined in, that's an offensive team. Defensive teams don't score 85 goals in 38 games, Mourinho was on the wind up, plain & simple.

    • @1988sheldon
      @1988sheldon Před 3 lety +1

      @@HHHBFResurrected u said defensive teams dont score that many goals. Well Mourinho scored 123 goals with real madrid. So behave. The 3-4-3 is a compact defensive system that allows quick counter attacks which you yourself admitted allows wingbacks like Alonso to get forward. It's the same system Arteta used against Liverpool these last two games. You are new to football so you have a lot to learn. Sit back and take some lessons.

    • @1988sheldon
      @1988sheldon Před 3 lety

      @PVC I am not comparing games. What I said is that sometimes the scoreline doesn't reflect the tactical approach. Mourinho is called a bus Parker but he got real to score 123 goals in 2011 season. Yes in the game Chelsea domiinated and deserved to win 4-0 but there is also no denying that the 3-4-3 overall is not an attacking system. If it were why doesn't Klopp play it? Isn't Klopp recognised to be the best attack minded manager today? That entire season Chelsea narrowed spaces in the middle and attacked using full backs. Its the same system Arteta is using at arsenal now against the big 6 and also used it in the community shield

    • @HHHBFResurrected
      @HHHBFResurrected Před 3 lety +2

      @@1988sheldon You're confusing being a defensive team with being good in counter attacks. Mourinho's Real was NOT a defensive team, they had no problem playing on the counter attack but always attacked with at least five players (Marcelo, Ronaldo, Ozil, Di Maria, Benzema/Higuain). In general both Mourinho & Conte's teams attack with 5 with a sixth given license to join in provided they don't compromise their defensive responsibility. Mourinho either knew he was talking BS & was trying to wind Conte up, or something got lost in translation and he was referring to the fact we defended in a 541 that year (9 players + GK behind the ball out of possession) which makes it very difficult to play through + actually harder to counter attack effectively, demonstrating how good we were offensively that season.
      Associating formations with offensive/defensive intent is a rookie mistake when it comes to tactics. No formation is inherently attacking or defensive, plenty of examples of the 343 being used in a variety of ways & more often than not it's been an offensive reaction, e.g. Liverpool in 05 CL final to overturn being 0-3 down. Provided you have brilliant WB's it's a formation that can be defensively strong because you have a last line of 5 players in front of the GK, but that's not the same as it being a defensive system. The number of players you attack with (i.e. players ahead of the ball in possession) dictates if you're an attacking team or not.

Leicester is the only team on that list that did not spend a ton of money to win a league title. In 94/95 Blackburn almost enticed Zidane to come from France. They had spent huge at the time on players like Alan Shearer and co. Their ownership was rich AF for that early time in the PL. So in the end, no, you're wrong about "many" teams. And if you go before the PL era. It was Liverpool and Everton dominating the 80's. Nottingham didn't spend huge, but they did attract some big names in the late 70's-early 80's because of their European success, and back then it was the norm to develop your own team from the youth ranks. Spending money wasn't a big part of the game, even though Man Utd still broke transfer records every now and again.
