For a time The Heavies were a six piece including Lascelles Gordon, and Jim Wellman. The band's first video ever. Filmed late 1990.
Video has largely been unseen since Delicious Vinyl, took a 2nd swing at getting radio play on urban radio and filmed a 2nd video "Dream Come True '92".
The words!!! I'm 48 and remember jamming to this in high school and in college. I miss music like this. ❤️ LOVE!!!
Please bring back Acid Jazz......
Generationally, it affected me a lot. It's one of the early bands that was strongly conscious of "groove".
This shows you how much those smooth jazz stations suck. How can they NOT play this cut, it makes you feel good. Are you listening 94.7 the Wave!
I'm 47 love that song!!!!

I remember I was shopping at Winn Dixie in New Orleans, and I saw Ndea with her little blue basket. I passed her up and I was like, 'wait a minute?' Was that? NO, couldn't be. Then I turned around and went to tap her on her shoulder and said.. "Excuse me, but um, you look like Ndea from the BNH. She was like, shhh! I said, I know, I know, but can I have your autograph? she said ok, but hurry up! I giggled a little, ripped off a piece of paper from the nearest thing I could find and she signed it. Epic moment.
N'Dea Davenport is a Legend!!
This is just pure real music. Real singing along with real instruments being played. This sound will never grow old!!!!
I was 13 or 14 when this came out. I'm 46 now, and it's just as great as it was then. As a matter of fact, I think it's better. Much, much better, because I've lived.
Acid Jazz 4 life baby! Yes, we need an Acid Jazz revival!

This sound will never die. It's way too good to die. 90's forever!
Gotta give the Brits love. Because they was always looking for the soulful sounds.
