When I said you ain't seen nothing yet in your "holy War" reaction, this was what I meant. This is one of Lovebites' epic masterpieces and it's one of their progiest songs with multiple significant time signature, tempo and key changes. It's melodic storytelling at its best. This is one of *the* Happy Metal songs from Lovebites that I so much appreciate: Having the blues, then piercing the darkness, followed by the rise to light, confidence and hope.
If any hard-boiled person can drop one single tear because of getting emotional and letting bitterness go, Lovebites can make that happen.

A Frozen Serenade and EPILOGUE are their masterpieces imo.
"My favorite Lovebites song". You will say that many times. My favorite song by them is usually the one I'm listening to at the moment. It's just crazy.
They have easily surpassed all my old favorites. They have spoiled my listening to other bands in the best possible way.. They are intoxicating to watch & listen to.

I used to listen to brutal type of metal back then.
and I also used to read brutal and sick lyrics as I grow up.
just from 5 years ago, I realized that I actually really need this kind of lyrics for myself.

You are right that this song is a masterpiece and they have several more. The live version of A Frozen Serenade is one. BTW the singer, Asami, spent many years learning ballet. If I can make a suggestion.... I don't have a problem with pauses for comments but I appreciate it when reactors rewind a few seconds for the restart. 😊😊

Well, it seems you’ve been seriously lovebitten. Yes, these women are beyond belief. I agree, this song is one of their masterpieces; so epic, with a powerful, positive and uplifting message. Being speechless after watching a Lovebites video is normal. I really love this song and the buildup. Next recommendation “Frozen serenade” or “Set the World on fire”.

The transitions through this song are amazing.. so powerful. They have a very impressive catalogue.
That's why I love Lovebites' music - not only brilliantly played and composed, but also mostly absolutely great lyrics with incredible depths! Some transitions in "Edge of the world" remind me a bit of John Miles' song of the century "Music" and I'm pretty sure John is looking at the 5 Japanese girls from music heaven with a big smile!

They are a Bucket List item period!!! I want to see them as bad as I wanted to see Hendrix live (luckily I saw him twice before he joined the "27 Club"). Can't wait for 9/6/2024 at ProgPower in Atlanta, The Wolfpack will be there but I feel sorry for the other bands on the card. Now try Empty Daydream and see how insane this band truly is, hint, gang vocals, piano and Asami bluesy vocals.
i love when new reactors get introduced to THE hottest band on the planet. we the wolfpack get to see you lose your mind and also get to chime in with many recommendations for you to check out. in your very first reaction - holy war - you said you had a weakness for guitar solos so you do not want to miss what is their ultimate in shreddathons which is the song 'scream for me'. midori and miyako battle it out with no less that 14 lead changes throughout the song. make sure to do the live version entitled [ live from abyss 2020]. my links keep getting deleted in my recommendations but it does exist on youtube so don't pass this one up. not that i want to see your heart failure but it may just happen !

Female Dream Theater ! Amazing band !
That is actually a great comparison in terms of collective musical talent. Dream Theatre and Symphony-X are the only two metal bands I'm aware of with comparable talent to LOVEBITES. Although neither of those bands has twin guitarists, so no dualling leads or harmonised guitars. Also, Miyako's concert level piano skills are superior to ANYONE in any metal band.

Great band. Sadly for me, Asami's voice just doesn't work for me so I can't often enjoy listening to many of their tracks in one go. The problem is mine, not Asami's - she's an excellent vocalist, just in a style that's not my preference.
As with so many of the Japanese bands, there is no weak link here, they are all fantastic musicians.
I was not her fan when I first heard Lovebites, she was kinda too "screamy" for me, but I got used to her very quickly and now I love her as much as all the rest of LB.
@@Hoprdoxx I was like that with Saiki from Band-Maid, but when I finally got it I came to love her voice.
I haven't managed to get there yet with Asami but I'm still trying.
