Once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, Mr. McCoy!

I can’t watch this video any more. I watched it a bunch early on, but one random viewing sent me over there edge. Made me an emotional mess. Now it happens each and every time. These guys are fucking amazing. Their sincerity makes these songs hit so much harder. I want to see them live, but if they play Yaad I’ll probably lose it right then and there.

From what I remember in an article about this song, it's based on actual bad date stories from Hanabie's friends who use dating apps. See them live next time they do a tour! I've seen them twice and they are AMAZING live - so full of energy and they go all out for the full set. They're also amazingly generous with their time with fans. At the Baltimore show, they stood outside for over an hour (when they must have been exhausted) just so that every fan who wanted to say hi and get a picture could. They also do great things with different charities - check out the videos for "Jee Veery" and "Yaad." They are just genuinely lovely people

Live, these guys bring all the energy you see on the screen to the stage. I got to see them a year ago and it was the best concert I've ever been to. Got to meet the guys, and they are just the kindest, most humble people. You should listen to everything else on the album, and on their channel. There's not a bad pick. And then you should watch their documentary "Raj Against the Machine." ETA: Tank the Tech did a fantastic interview with Karan a couple years ago - definitely worth the watch.

Saiki and Miku's vocals have very different timbre which is more obvious live, yet harmonise so well, seemlessly. Just like each instrument playing something completely different and it still works brilliantly. I think Band-Maid's unique sound was born by embracing the member's individual tone and the distinctive style.
