- In this video we tackle 3 fast and easy project to improve your kitchen cabinets. Not every project need to be complex or detailed. Sometimes it is the little things that makes a big difference. These simple DIY woodworking projects can have a big impact on the functionality of your kitchen.
We will make some baskets to attach to the inner cabinet doors, a spot to hang pot lids, and a simple spice rack for a cramped cabinet.

i think the spice rack was a bust. it doesn't seem accessible
you can't see the labels or the amount of spice in the container
getting them out from the far end has a high likelihood to knock over the near ones
you could do better with a drawer
I understand those thoughts on it. However, I see this as making the best out of a suboptimal situation. It is true you cannot see the whole bottles, but they are much easier to see and access than it was before (camera angle makes it look worse). So far we have never knocked any of the bottles over (I actually did this project well over 6 months ago). The cabinet space is way too narrow to have a usable pull out drawer or rack that would actually fit all the spices in it. Ideally, we would have another good space for the spices and have a different type of rack (like you suggested), but our current cabinet space doesn't allow for it unless we do a lot of moving around.
