    Absolutely great build love the way this turned out love the fact that you can’t tell that it’s a hidden compartment ,like you said with most of them you can tell that they have a hidden compartment in some way. Great job your videos are getting better and better missed Bob Barker in the video.

    Fun build!

    The build is great, the clients choice of color… not a fan especially freshly stained but it’s his table and you seemed to calm it down which turned out much better. I normally hate staining hard woods, and yet I love skateboard colored ply but white oak has such a soft warmth and richness to it I hate to see it covered up. Anyways look forward to more builds

      Yeah, I think this one would have looked awesome with just a non-tinted finish or maybe even something like a cotton white. But gotta give em what they want!

      @@woodpackdiy I understand and you’re right, client gets what they want. Regardless it’s a beautiful coffee table

    Hey there! I have to tell you that I’ve been watching your videos from day 1 and the quality of this channel continues to improve with each video. Great job!
    I do, however, have a question as a fellow woodworker. I hope it isn’t too rude to ask but I am genuinely interested. Why did you decide to invest in expensive Festool machines like the Domino and Miter saw instead of replacing the most commonly used tool in the shop- the table saw? Asking since I went the other way.. Had a period of time where I had maybe 10,000 $ worth of Festool machines and ended up selling most of them (except for the router) and going back to basics like dowels, m&t and half laps.

      Its not rude at all - its a legitimate good question. For me, it wasn't a matter of picking one over the other, it was purely a matter of space. I would have preferred to get a pro table saw like a saw stop or something like that, but I currently just don't have any room for it. I do all my projects in my garage, and at the end of the day, push everything to the side so I can park in it. So, the table saw of my dreams is on hold until I figure something out.

      @@woodpackdiy Makes perfect sense actually, thanks for taking the time to explain the rationale behind it! Keep up the good work.

    Great looking project and love white oak for it. Intending this as advice, not a critique. Please stop apologizing for owning and using a domino. You made the investment and ought to share how it saves time and increases accuracy (or whatever fits) for you.

      I think Festool shaming is a real thing.

    100% super dope. I would go with a darker wood maybe a cherry or walnut. but daum that looks dope. will it work with a phone ? to open the secret compartment?

    • @woodpackdiy
      @woodpackdiy  Před 4 měsíci

      This particular lock cant work with a phone, but you can get one that is Bluetooth enabled. Those would work for sure

    Did you buy your white oak S2S?

    • @woodpackdiy
      @woodpackdiy  Před 5 měsíci

      It was supposed to be S3S, but honestly, the one straight line really wasn't. So it was basically S2S
