They refused to manufacture in India and exports customs duties costs made the on road price very high, price equivalent to a good car or MUV/SUV, hatchback etc, accessories were also too costly, due to that only very rich could afford that in India, then they suddenly shut shop in India without any plans for existing customers. Local bikes are great for India, they are made as per Indian needs and conditions. Most favored is Royal Enfield now a days.
