Awesome build! Love to see the details and thoughts that went into making the build. I always appreciate Lego content creators taking the time to record voice-over as well. It was fun to watch the premiere with everyone. The Western Star Twinsteer was one of my favorite Lego builds, I hope to get the parts to make this one as well!
heya :D
Thanks ! This kind of format is quite hard to produce, especially for a non-native english speaker so it requires time and are not the most viewed. But I am happy that people like it and I enable me to talk about details and design process instead of writing a long article on my website.
@@Nico71Fr well, if there are any problems you can always ask us! :D
Such a great moc and incredible attention to detail , i love this type of video
Thanks ! This is not the most viewed format, and require a lot of work to make, so I am happy that you like !
Bravo et merci pour tes créations et tes vidéos !
Merci ☺
Very interesting model! Thank you for this detailed review :)
Another great video! It's always interesting to see the design process and some more details about your models.
Thanks ! This is not the most viewed format but I am happy that you like it !
Made my Day 👍🏼 Thanks for Sharing 🍀
Thanks !
Great work as always!
Thanks !
woah this is sick! thanks!
Thanks !
The quality of your MOCs are getting higher and higher! I find sometning new to learn every time! My favourite kind of videos!
Thanks !
Another strike! Congrats Nico!
Thanks !
Very beautifully presented.
I know how much work goes into a video like this.
I really like the way you explain your design.
When I present my models, I talk about them in German.
I will have to practice better English speaking.
I often talk with Stefan Weinert and he always likes to mention your perfected models.
Thanks ! Indeed it will be easier for me to talk in my native language (french) but it will bring less view to this format, as it is not the most viewed for now even in English. I know Stefan too, we talk about models by mail a lot. I like these creations too.
Articulated steering definitely showcases the value of differentials!
Indeed ! It would even need a additionnal differential between front and rear axle as the center of the articulation in not on the center of the two groups of axle but it will be a bit too much ^^
Thanks for the inside view! Always great to learn from the masters 🙂
In regards of the picture at 1:15 : 81.6 x 44 R tires from the Lego 42141 set? As they have the same rim, only the tire width would maybe need a redesign...
*Edit: Nevermind, you did at the end :D
I have design the model to be able to be equipped with the 81.64x44R because it looks very nice; as the real model with the Terra Grip tire and low pressure balloon tire, but are way out in terme of climbing abilities !
This is what we love Technic. Awesome model. How long did it take from idea to finished model?
Thanks ! I would say many time ! I have build many prototypes at first with regular axle (not articulated steering) but it doesn' work well at the scale. You can see the design process in the story 'WIP' on instagram. Then when I choose this model and validate the design of the axle, it requires about 100h so about a month of work.
Great Design 👍 How do you design, first in CAD and then physically, or the other way around? What CAD program do you use?
Hello, I design first in real with my parts, and then I create the 3D model using Ldcad (Ldraw) to generate the instructions.
I would like very much building this. I would also like to build rods and pistons. Please help. Thanks.
You need the parts and instructions. Instructions are on my website (link in the description) and parts can be purchased on bricklink. You can also ask buildamoc for special request set.
actually been trying to find a good design for a 6x6 suspension this is perfect so i copied it
Incredible mechanism. I wonder how much money to buy lego pieces for this kind of Moc or you just use own brick.
I use my own parts and order some on 1001bricks as shown in the video. The most expensive item are surely the tires.
@@Nico71Fr Thanks for reply.
I want to build this model someday. But now my budget is quite small...😀
Your MOC always looks like real.
Convenient battery box removing is also good.
