World Memory Champion demonstrates how to memorise a pack of cards

World Memory Champion 2013 Jonas Von Essen shows The Telegraph how he memorises a pack of cards.
A total of 112 people from 30 countries across the world took part in the World Memory Championships 2013 in Croydon this weekend; a considerable increase on the eight people who made up the numbers in the inaugural 1991 event.
During the event, contestants compete against each other in 10 different disciplines, from speed card recall to historic dates memory testing.
Jonas Von Essen, who was crowned the overall winner pf the championships on Monday afternoon, took time to show The Telegraph how he memorises a pack of cards for the speed card recall discipline.
