Kinda is similar to msm though in the sense of how over time you build up more, and you go away while upgrades and stuff happen. Though it is different in many ways at the same time. So, it is kinda suprising and cool to be seeing him play this!
Clash of clans tips:
There are goblin maps that are “unlocked” each town hall. I’d suggest beating all for your town hall level.
Make sure to NOT skip ANY upgrades for each town hall.
There are practice maps for each town hall to help you learn strats
Join a clan asap as you can get cc troops
Get all builders ASAP!

You should max all your upgrades even it takes a long time to get to the new town hall so that if some people skipped upgrades you can have an advantage over them
also save gems to get builder huts because they can make more upgrades.
In the later Town halls the time to upgrade is longer but there are less upgrades.

Theres no reason not to skip some upgrades for your TH. As soon as you can't keep all builders and the labarotory active 24/7 you should go up. (+it is a game, if your favorite TH is next you can cut the time a bit)
@@hsi_geo You could say that, but don't forget that instead of maxed cannons Th10, you can go for a grand warden and Edrag TH9 cannons too. That does of course lead to you finding more TH11-12 in multiplayer, but your strengt as an account does go up quicker.

Hope you enjoy the game matt. The first few levels are easy and fun but in high level it gets very competitive. Hope you learn the mechanics properly.

@@mayonasepizzai mean getting to th10 takes about a year at most if you play regularly upgrade times and cost has been reduced a bunch over time every town hall that gets released cost and time gets reduced for everything below it

Omg, my favourite game! Seeing someone who is only just starting out is so good! It's a nice change of pace from watching the same people play, who already know all about the game!
That's why I came
Few tips for beginners Matt that triggered a lot of viewers including me:
- Never attack a base if your storages are full. You simply waste all the loot u gain for that attack.
- each troop has a different technique, for example, archers shoot over walls, giants targets primarily defenses such as cannons.
This is a strategy game. You're supposed to create an army that compensates each troop in your army. For beginners i recommend Giants on front so they tank the hits from defenses and archers so they can reach everything.
ALSO: Dont waste gems on short timed upgrades. Please.
A few tips:
1) Don't spend gems on short upgrades.
2) Giants target defenses, so they'll go for cannons and other defenses first
3) There is no max cap when buying with actual money
4) Upgrade everything on your base before moving on to the next town hall
5) Giving out your clan tag will be easier for people to join
6) Request for troops when you get clan mates.
7) When attacking make sure you have enough space in your storages
8) Learn a few strategies for attacking (I don't think this matters much right now, since you're a town hall 3)
9) Have fun! Try multiplayer battles, organize your base, get sceneries, etc.

Btw builder huts are the most important buildings in the games so they are your main priority

Love this game! It’s so rare to see someone who hasn’t played this game play it for the first time, and I’m excited to see what happens! Not sure if you can play Clash of Clans on an emulator though, worth looking into.

Matt, tip: you can upgrade your town hall as soon as you meet the requirements, however it is very helpful if you max everything out first. Ex: barricks, bombs, troop upgrades, etc. also I love the content keep it up!

Matt, a helpful tip is to do the practice mode, you get to do it every town hall and you get to try out new troops and get resources

I’ve been playing clash on and off for for over a nearly almost 9 years or so and I’m nearly a max town hall 14, so I would love to see Matt play this amazing game. Love your vids keep up the great content 👍

I’ve got some tips and tricks for you😊😊😊
1) During the video I noticed that you spent a LOT of gems on small upgrades but you should save to buy builders
2) Now tips for the troops, the barbarian is a great peon for destroying small buildings around the base, the archer is a ground ranged troop great for attacking stuff behind walls and the giant is tanky ground troop now he has a specific attacking form because he always prioritizes destroying DEFENSES so he ignore everything other than defenses, Goblin ( yes you will recruit them even so) they are a melee ground troop but similar to the giant he also prioritizes certain buildings over others but it’s not defenses they are the base’s valuables so they attack firstly the town hall, both types of storages, the gold mine and the elixir pump.
Of course there are so many more troops that I have tips for but that’s for another time.
3) Assuming that you will spend money on this game I suggest that you buy the packs instead of the gems and make sure that Supercell creates you’re creator code (which is basically if you go to the shop you will find on the top right os the screen there is a C and if you click on it, it will say enter a creator code i usually put Judo he is another Clash of clans CZcamsr you should check him out but if you buy something with the creator code for example 100 Canadian dollars then the CZcamsr will benefit 5% so the CZcamsr will get 5 Canadian dollars out of the full 100) but of course you are just starting and it will take time for supercell to creat a code for you but I’m sure it will happen someday.
4) about the clan castles they are MASSIVELY IMPORTANT you can benefit a LOT from it well I’m sure when you create the clan fans will start flowing in like water so I suggest that you put the clan on “invite only” and only accept those worthy of helping you and do not randomly promote anyone make some rules like get promoted for login every single day for a month with proof of course well I’m sure if a good player enters the clan you can speak with in chat to get tips like these.
5) okay last one I’ve been typing for half an hour you might just so slightly RUSH your base this happens when the player only cares about upgrading the town hall and not anything else in the start it will be fine but once you get to the higher level you will struggle unless you buy gems to heal you’re base
6) You know what one more for good measures 😅 when you get to higher and more advanced and complex town halls you’re base design will be critical for you’re defense I suggest going to the clash champs I need a base website since I am terrible at designing bases I go to the website and copy a base.

Yo Matt! A few tips to start off the game (I joined your clan btw, and am super, super hyped):
- Builders are INCREDIBLY USEFUL!! If you’re patient enough, you can save up your gems over time and get the max of 5 builders
- As you saw with some upgrading, buildings will have UPGRADE CAPS (you can’t upgrade the tower further until you upgrade your Town Hall). In my experience, maxing out all of your buildings BEFORE upgrading your Town Hall to the next level is the best way to NOT GET DESTROYED by people who are a higher level then you.
- You can think of some simple strategies in CoC the same way you can think of them in Battle Cats! Giants are the tanks, archers/wizards are the back liners. If you just put the giants first and then the back liners, that’ll bring you very very far in this game
- PVP is NOT LIVE. People will attack you passively and when you attack somebody, all they’ll get is a notification. When somebody attacks you, you gain a shield, so people can’t attack you, but attacking other people while the shield is ACTIVE will decrease the shield time.
- On the note of PVP, its the best way to gather resources, and your Town Hall level does NOT determine the people you face in multiplayer. You’ll be matched up against people with the same amount of trophies as you, so if you end up scouting a bunch of bases higher level then you, that means you’re doing really good!! (Because you have as much trophies as normal people would have at a higher level!)
I hope this helps, I know I keep saying I would love to be a part of this series with you, and that I would love to have Co leader in your clan, and I apologize for that, I’m just extremely excited!!
Hey matt, one thing I've learned when I played this game, is rushing to upgrade town halls isn't smart. You should upgrade your town hall after your base is first completely maxed out. This game is very fun, but I'm going to warn you, people spend a lot of money on this game
Advice:Save up your gems for builders, don’t spend them on anything else
Also PLEASE make this a Series

well from what I remember from clans a good advise is to upgrade everything to the max before the town hall. also when placing the units you have to think more strategicly, don't put everything out at once and don't place them in the furthest area possibly from the target. place a few in areas you suspect will be bombs and place them close to the enemies defenses. and spending all your gems in one go is one of the worst thing you could do keep stacking them because you will need them.
Finally. I have waited for this one for a long time. I play this constantly, and it’s so addicting

Matt, try and go slow and steady. Upgrade every building to the max before upgrading your town hall. If you don't, you'll end up critically underdeveloped.
New players have it so easy. Troops don't cost elixer anymore and the clan castle used to be 40k gold. I had to grind for like 3 days

Edit : In the train unit menu every unit has a small i button click on sayed button to see information about sayed troop , you can also use left over materials on walls so you don't have to wait for your stuff to be done building so you continue to use your materials , there is also a shield when you attack in multiplayer battles your shield will get reduced and when you have no shield other people can attack your villige to steal your own loot YOU worked so hard to get .
Hey Matt! Here are some tips for starters:
Don’t use gems to finish small buildings (like 10s build time)
Save your gems to buy more builder huts, they are essential
Upgrade your buildings to the max before upgrading your town hall.

Here is an advice for you Matt, upgrade your town hall IN LAST.
When you upgrade your town hall everyone isstronger and have the same/1 o 2 level above town hall so be careful with upgrade.
I hope you will continue playing this game because I love your content and I know that a clash of clans serie with you will be fun.
Came back to the game a month ago after a year long hiatus, restarted and remembered how fun the game is. If you move along quickly you can be TH7 within 2 weeks, if you play daily for like 20 mins

Hey Matt, I love your videos and here are some tips on how to play the game:
Unlock all the builders first, I know it may seem dumb at first but they have the biggest value for the price, as in later Town hall levels you'll see how long it takes to upgrade something
Second, is to make an army with your own tactics, and one that you are pretty sure will 3 star someone
Third, is prioritizing upgrades, so upgrade what you think will make the biggest difference in attacking or defending (for example the cannon can only attack ground but the archer tower can attack air and ground, so archer tower upgrade)
Fourth, base design
You want to make a base that will be hard to Crack into and make most of your village area covered by your defenses' line of fire
And finally, base completion
When I say prioritizing upgrades, I don't mean ignoring a defense completely, as that will make your base rushed and pretty easy to destroy
No, you need to upgrade everything to the max level allowed by the Town hall, but you can upgrade a certain defense before another
Of course you might ignore all this as you spend gems, but I just wanted to say this just in case

Mattusheaus, once you get to more higher town halls, some buildings would take days, and the gems dont round up to the nearest hour like MsM, it costs way more
When upgrading, make sure to upgrade everything and not to rush the town hall. I did and in the long run it put me behind everyone else and matched me with hard to beat bases in multiplayer.
Fun fact: if you move a builder hut, when your not upgrading, you can see the builder sleeping
If you're a big farmer, you can skip town halls but you can get easily bored doing that.
Getting high town hall is a way to get more resources, make sure to max baby dragons, or barbarians, goblins and wallbreaker first.
I am not that much against going max before upgrading to a new town hall, since we can consider you're starting the game.
Make sure to join a clan, you'll get very good advantages at low town hall with cc troops, and same at higher town halls like medals and free magical items.
My play style is rushing the base, going to the maxed town hall as fast as possible, and then farming resources to put the most expansive things on build.
Also, keep in mind you can check your defenses on the mail button on the left (the button that is on your facecam on the video) which means you can get a REVENGE on the enemy if he doesn't have the shield activated on his base. You can sometimes find someone inactive, especially if he attacked a week or two weeks ago, which means more loot in the collectors.
Make sure to max the collectors no matter what.

If you ever plan on upgrading your town hall, upgrade your other towers to the max level otherwise you will be made fun of
heres a tip, you should put defenses like cannons and archer towers by places where there is no defense. 2. your townhall should always be the last thing to upgrade.
