Started injectable carnatine a month ago with the hopes of having bettter climbs and knocking up my wife. I noticed better climbs for sure but i didnt expect it to smack my depression in the face. I havent felt this calm as an adult and just not as anxious in 20 years. I wish i hopped on years ago. Turns out there is literature confirming its impact on depression.

My experience with Yohimbe: I’ve been taking a Yohimbe supplement for quite a while (on/off cycles. Maybe since 2012 or so. I will not name the brand.) After that brand stopped making the yohimbe supplement. I moved to Yohimbe (raw/powder form). I have had no issues with it. The way I understand yohimbine is that it works if you work. If you take it and just sit on the couch, it's not gonna do anything. I also read somewhere that it needs to be taken on an empty stomach because insulin affects it somehow. So, there are no carbs with it usually.

In order to achieve the benefits of L-Carnitine you need a very long loading phase, up to 24 weeks, and it needs to be taken with 40-80 grams of carbs to increase bioavailability and transport into the muscles. In general it helps by enabling your cells to use more energy from fat, so it benefits Low Intensity Steady State exercise. It helps you to burn more fat as you do your zone 2, improves zone 2 total work output, and improves blood lipid profile.
TMAO production can be attenuated by taking Berberine.

The premise of injectable l-carnitine lacks specific experimental evidence (for pretty much every claim Derek makes) and when considering the putative IM or subQ pharmacokinetics and established endogenous basal regulation- there really isn’t much of a theoretical rationale either.
Once absorbed (orally or from the injection site) carnitine has a low volume of distribution (0.2L/kg), with no plasma binding, slow rate of tissue disposition (with lowest/slowest uptake in skeletal muscle)- where for the lions share of dose administered; will
essentially dictate a one compartment elimination model with predominant renal excretion, using the same transporter for resorption as that for skeletal muscle uptake- where the threshold for resorption seems to fall within endogenous ranges (40 micromolar) anyway. With such in mind- increasing the carnitine pool by such a meagre amount and in what would be an extremely slow manner (only for it to be rapidly regulated anyway), and attempting to exploit any pharmaceutical advantage seems almost not worth the hassle of uncomfortably injecting a hypertonic water solution daily and predisposing risks that come along with that (infection, bruising, etc).
