I’ve built a couple of these kits, both on very small lathes. The lathes were little more than toys, but the engines came out ok-ish and ran well. Interesting that the cylinder covers are now held by studs in slots in the cylinder. They were bolted to the cylinder on my kits. I’m enjoying your videos.

Glad you are enjoying the journey. Yes to me the long studs were an interesting design choice. I would have preferred to drill through the cylinder rather than have existing slots. Looking at the website the other models do have the bolts directly into the cylinder, which I think looks better too.

The first challenge is to get it running on air. But I would like to get it running on steam as a further learning process.
