Small tip, don’t use metal tongs on the cook top. Appears there is probably a non-stick coating on the grill top. Metal tongs can scratch the surface. Try using plastic or ones that aren’t metal will make your non-stick surface last a little longer.
I miss your content Alex. Are you ok? What’s new? I have watched every one of your videos. Of all the trucking videos, you are the most honest and down to earth. I am a retired principal from Florida. My nephew stayed with me during his truck training years ago. He has been driving for years, but now he does local runs for a food company in South Carolina. I loved your bike adventures, adore watching you cook, and I think people would be interested in more of your off driving time. Maybe even off duty at home. For me, I feel like I am peeking into your life. Still with Varient? I look for new videos every day. I am not a trucker, but of all the different guys and gals posting…I have bonded with your style. If you are ever near Tampa Florida, my wife and I would love to invite you to dinner. Good luck, hope you are well
Lol you did a fine recovery job with that steak. I kept laughing when you kept saying you burnt it Because you have not truly seen burnt till you catch my mother on a bad day of cooking steaks, she can make the outside of the steak completely inedible but somehow the inside of the steak is cooked almost perfectly you just need a really sharp Potatoe peeler to slice off the outer layer then everything is good. 😆
Hey bud. How’s it going. Your truck is going to be sprayed with grease lol. Anywho I like your set up. Personally I would grill outside the truck but…👍
Alex I’m so happy for you bro it’s hard finding that one spot trucking company and it looked like you found your match congrats keep rolling and pushing
Great meal effort! As an observation, when you butterflied the steak you were at rare. You ended up with between mid rare to med on the steak. Not bad on the road with a flat top.
Another cooking tip Alex is to pick out your seasoning or whatever you decided to season or add to your steak, chicken or whatever your protein is then go and season it BEFORE YOU decide to stick it on the grill or whatever you use for that protein and you want to basically seal those things into the meat. Also don’t kill the meat after it’s been already killed, meaning don’t overcook it man. I love your videos and your content, BUT your killing me with the cooking side because your making it harder than it is for yourself man. Your learning I get it and you will see how to properly get things done, until then don’t make it harder for yourself. A good crust on the OUTSIDE doesn’t mean you burnt it it just means you seals those flavors inside the meat. But a medium rare steak is perfect at least to me. I can’t do a chewy and over done steak man It’s not gonna kill you. Lastly, do the feel test start at the chin for more med rare all the way to the forehead for a well done type.
Btw the reason the smokeless button doesn’t work is because it doesn’t really mean smokeless it just redirects the smoke and it blows it out of underneath the stove so that’s the reason the smokeless button doesn’t work in small places.
Ever considered getting an air fryer? if you got a dual one then you could cook 1 thing then add a second item into the second compartment after plus you can cook rice in them too even those microwavable rice pouches :)
You might want to get a metal (aluminum) cover to cover up when you are cooking your meat on your grill. It will trap the heat and your meat cook faster. The way you are cooking meat on your grill, it seems that the grill only cooking at the bottom because the remaining are open and heat is escaping. Or try getting thinner sliced meats. If your family have Costco membership, I believe some locations carry Asian precooked rice which you can microwave it for 90 seconds if you want it. Check it out. I hope these information helps you in future. Take care and thank you for sharing your videos.
I enjoy these videos so much of you cooking and shopping, show more of that, instead of you complaining about everything, remember that is the life of a Truck Driver 😊be safe.
If the truck turns off for idle in the uk if you press the cruise control button and make the engine rev an extra 50-100 rpm it won’t cut out. Worth a try
When I do my steaks I let them get to room temp first. I then cook them unseasoned. I put the seasonings on a cutting board and put the steak on that. As it cools it pulls the seasoning in. A minute or so on each side and it's delicious. No burning seasoning off on the grill either.
Alex next time, let the steak sit out 30 minutes, then put some salt front and back. When you're ready to drop on grill put some avacado oil front and back of steak. If cooking out of a pan do the same but put the oil in pan first.
Love the videos brother your a rolling Martha Stewart lol. 25 years of eating out and sandwiches on the road thinking about start cooking in my truck man that looks good..
Ik this is not what people want to hear when it comes to steak but when I get one that’s under cooked and all I have is a microwave. I put it in for like a minute then cut to see if the color is to my liking… only when it’s necessary tho not all the time and yes I am a well done type woman. 😂 other than that I usually put mine in the oven with peppers, onions, blk pepper, creole seasoning, Lipton onion soup mix, a little lemon juice and it’s normally a ribeye cut or New York cut let it cook on 350 until it’s falling to pieces. there’s juice from the fat and meat dripping so I can put that on my rice or potatoes and lawd the best steak ever. Whenever I cook them for new people who are use to just pan seared steak they enjoy it so much..
I learned how to idle my Peterbilt…in park i press on cruise control then set press at least 2 to 3 times to rev up engine..it keeps invertor at 13.3..i have a galant and it drains my batteries without doing that
Alex try Turning on your cruise control and turning up the idle CZcams how to do it that might solve your problem if that doesn’t ask your company if they can takeoff the idle shut down all it is unlocked at the company can do for you if they allow it. It’s better for the truck to high idle more oil pressure is best. Specially in cold climates
You might think about marinating your meat in a zip-lock bag the night before cooking. McCormick Steak blend is great on everything. Also pick up a dome lid for your cook top. This will allow for a more even cooking with all your meats. Another simple alternative is adding garlic butter to those vegetables..... It tastes amazing yet simple !!! Thanks for sharing your videos.

damn it must stink inside your truck.
I like the fact you cook the meat and not eat it row like most Americans I do like medium rare but well done it's better for the body I'm not joking
Onion granule.
Hey Alex, lots of scammers on your channel. Do have anything to help with your channel and all scammers?
Please cook outside. Carbon monoxide
Cooking tip. Let the steak get to room temp then pre season then add to grill.
You are supposed to saute the mushrooms and onions first, it's not a steak without them!!
@@LekajBrothersTransportion as a certified cook. It does actually matter.
@Idriz Lekaj I'm a chef. it does matter.
For real! I noticed a huge difference, especially when I grilled it
I watch you tube videos so technically im a chef
Small tip, don’t use metal tongs on the cook top. Appears there is probably a non-stick coating on the grill top. Metal tongs can scratch the surface. Try using plastic or ones that aren’t metal will make your non-stick surface last a little longer.
Nope. Best just use wooden ones.
I already told him this. Lol
Will also make YOU last less
Cooking, eating ,working & sleeping all in the same area isn't a bad idea :) 👍😁
bros never heard of trucking, or working from home,
Just don't shit wear you eat!
Alex....I like to lightly oil my steak, then season!! Acts as a binder and keeps the seasoning on the steak!!
"It's Still Raw." Lol it's been cooked for a while now. Lol
Beats the heck out of truck stop junk food
His version of raw is my version of perfect 👌
Set your cruise control, then idle it down. Then your truck while idle all day. I have the exact same truck that you do and it works for me. FYI.
i do the same thing here in europe mate. funny how some stuff are the same even across the pond

I love seeing you cook in the Truck. 😋
Brother you need an air fryer
Preach
He had one I have no idea why he traded it out for a griddle
Lol you did a fine recovery job with that steak. Love the vibes of your videos
Looks yummy Alex 😋.Alex you have the best job you get paid to see the country. Keep the videos coming my friend. ❤
As a truck driver how do you wash your dishes after you do your cooking and eating
i have a 12 ltr bottle with a faucet so i can wash after, as well for morning routine stuff.
That steak wasn’t raw… it was mid rare… the way most people eat their steaks
He’s a trucker they would eat a flip flop(well done steak)
@@CerretaniOutdoorsLLC I ain’t ever going to eat leather even if I became a trucker haha.
3:00 I hope that was my advice you took.
One thing you should look into is Sous Vide. You can cook so much with it easily and it’ll all come out out perfect.
Love grilling 😋. Yum burnt that's just flavor.
Hey bud. How’s it going. Your truck is going to be sprayed with grease lol. Anywho I like your set up. Personally I would grill outside the truck but…👍
Love the vids bro
It's not burnt it'd seared lol
You were about to risk it all flipping that steak! 😂😂😂

Any tips on fine cigars? Steak looked awesome

This guy crushes the trucking game
Ride him already lol

You are living the American dream! Take care, happy travels & thank you so much for your videos!
Hey Alex you have Invite me over for dinner sometimes looks good
I run an extension cord from my inverter out of the truck and cook on the cat walk so I don't get grease splatter in the truck.
That's sear
Back in my day you would put a can of soup on the motor driving down the road then you eat lol
Do more cooking vids Alex!
Dude you don't have to cook steak all the way through
Its like van life but your on the road making $$$
Variants got the cleanest company trucks on the road!

He has one already. He's just trying something new but he's used it plenty of times on the channel.
Hey Alex, what happened to your air fryer?
Love your vid….. I’m a new trucker, and I’m bringing a rice cooker cus why not hahah
You're one funny dude. If you had a dog you could show us how to properly pick up after it. Lol.
That looks delicious Alex
Do you have a link for your hotplate cooker? I am just starting out in trucking.
Turn the cruise control on then hit resume to high idle the truck when your parked😊
You might want to get a metal (aluminum) cover to cover up when you are cooking your meat on your grill. It will trap the heat and your meat cook faster. Ever consider getting a power station like jackery or anker? I know they’re kind of expensive but I’m sure it’ll be very useful.
Lol@ I burnt the heck out of this 😂
Wow you living the most as truck driver. You got quite the set up in there. Good for you!!
Talk to your maintenance shop about shutting of the timed idle it takes like 5 min to do

That sounds delicious and fancy. I'll have to try that. Thanks 👍
Thanks Alex! Great perspective.
Chef Alex in the making!
Here comes the chef’s 👨🍳
Nice.
Ext time try USDA Prime grade meat. So much tastier!
Love the videos brother your a rolling Martha Stewart lol. 25 years of eating out and sandwiches on the road thinking about start cooking in my truck man that looks good..
Thanks for watching inbox me right away👍 let's move on investment tips👍
I never had that time to do cooking when I was on the road flying j all the way your lucky dude to cook
Damn what a shame lol
Get an air fryer already. Best steak of your life in 7 mins!
Find some Montreal steak seasoning, also the chicken seasoning. i put it on pork chops, potatoes. its so good.
Slap Yo Momma season for the chicken
That was so brutal to watch 😂😂😂
That seat cushion make the ride better?
Next time, if you have a chunk of meat that size, cut it up into bite size, then cook those pieces. They'll cook quicker and more over through out.
Nice steak
seem like nice day.. how come didn't have nice bbq outdoors..lol..
His voice sounds like he could do animation voice overs 😂

Burnt outside and raw inside is called Pittsburg style I believe
God damn overcooked the hell out of that steak😂
Lol man you roll that window down your going to have all them drivers over at your truck
Thanks for watching inbox me right away👍 let's move on investment tips👍
I think you should try using an air fryer to cook instead of the grill.

High idle the engine with the cruise control and it shouldn't shut down.
Nice feed bro watching from Melbourne Australia however I'm a maori from new Zealand love watching your videos
Yeah if your compelled to use a grill in the truck at least cover it with foil for less clean up I always put everything in the oven on the truck
NO APU? That cut a beef looks AMAZING! MMMMMMM
love the thumbnail
U did good considering the small space that juice is good
Cut the steak raw in strips and season then cook the strips easy way for u man 💯🫡

Try Montreal seasoning for your steaks. Does the grill splatter when you grill steaks or pork?
Delicious. You should start a cooking channel too
😋 looks good bro.🍽🔪 ok i'am ready.😁
why dont you cook outside at least if the weather is nice?
How many times are you waiting on an empty trailer after delivering a load? I heard they have a shortage on trailers. Is that true?
Next time your out shopping grab a bottle of grill mates brown sugar bourbon seasoning it’s my favorite and tastes so good.
Also you can butterfly it
buenos videos camarada saludos
You should get a sous vide for cooking in the truck
What equipment do u use for your cooking appliances?
I really enjoy ur cooking videos i watch it when iam eating please make more of this 😊👍
