- This week, we show you how we install Wi-Fi on our boat and the equipment that we use. The Narrowboat renovation continues as the kitchen tiling is completed at last and Liz finally gets the curtains up! Paul makes the kitchen shelves out the back of his van and they are stained, hung and decorated with Liz's labelled jars.
We are so close to the finish line on the kitchen side of things so show you the rest of the boat with a walk through boat tour.

like your vlogs, good content and fun to watch. bought my second boat from whilton marina some 6 or 7 years ago and did what you're doing now, boat alterations and improvements before cruising to my home town on the K and A.
FYI - the round sockets are either 2 amp or 5 amp and are generally used in lighting circuits for table lamps in houses.
i have seen them on boats being used with 12v light fittings. you can buy 12 volt lamps and use special adaptors so you can use standard size bayonet cap or screw in lamps to use on 12 volt systems.

*Liz, Paul & Ernie, you have done so much is such a short time. Maybe setting up the wi-fi for the telly should have been the last thing on the list to be done lol. You are both adapting to living in a small place. Oh dear not checking the wire to see if it was LIVE first. Ernie, keep on hiding them bones, as it keep your mum & dad on their toes when they try to find them. Paul, sort out the fireplace chimney mate... it's not up to your usual high standard. Hi Andrea. I know, I should have told a fib and said we had not wifi connection should I 😂. Ernie is definitely keeping us on our toes (as a matter of fact next week's vlog is mainly on him and what its like with a dog onboard😜) let's hope his newly found fame doesn't go to his head 😂 as for the Chinmey, it looks even worse now as it cracked a little more... @@uponreflection *I am well. But sadly the whole of the North Island in NZ has suffered from Cyclone Gabrielle. 5 deaths so far. Many unaccounted for!! I was lucky to have no damage to my home. Then last night a 6.1 earthquake happened near our Capital city of Wellington. We need a break... as we are still recovering from those floods 2 weeks ago 4 deaths from them major floods.*

Are you going to drill the roof and install the aerial properly? Or just keep it hanging through the window?
Hi there, we drilled the roof once we had decided where we wanted the router to be and fed the wire from the aerial through the roof to the router in the lounge part of the boat. 😀
