The problem with Greatswords in GW2 is that there's sooooooooooooo damn many good ones.
Also the Inquest Mark II almost seems to be a reference to the Monado from Xenoblade Chronicles, with a similar design, a hole in the middle with a symbol and the energy blade comes out only when being used.

Cobalt is the coolest sword for the price. I love it.
Eclipse is really nice greatsword.
However, Exordium is the best greatsword, hands down. The special effects are amazing.

Cobalt was one pf my first drops that felt like an awesome skin. It is great on my guardian
I run my reaper with Eclipse most of the time. You never see people using it and it looks awesome.

btw, another thing w/ the sab greatsword is the bit sound effects. not many weapons in gw2 has diff sound effects which makes it more unique in my opinion. some ppl dont like it, but i do. i also like the sounds on the riffle, hahaha

As an Asuran main, I should point out on of the few greatswords that don't clip through the ground when stowed on an asuran's back, the Aetherized greatsword.
My fav greatsword skin is the Jotun Greatsword. Cheap, easy to get, unique and has drawn effect to.

My favorite is Ravensoul tho, I like how its a good balance between simplr design and cool effects together.

I'm one of the "less is more" people, not really into shiny and luminous skins: this video had some really awesome options!!! (one of my favorites is still Fellblade)
Great designs, I just don't like how so many greatswords have a stupidly long handle, sometimes almost half the weapon's lenght.
On a similar note I also don't like how 1 hand swords are too often held near the pommel, it looks awkward.

One of the very early game cool skin is the Jotun Greatsword which i think is purchased for a heart vendor.

Royal Ascalonian Greatsword yess! Still one of the best! i like the list (have like 75% the ones on the list) Equinox is a nice one also, i will choose Dokkaebi skin above the Seven Reapers tho... just 30g also

I had luck to drop vermilion blaze gs from black lion chest when it was there, peoples constantly asks me about it and idk how this gs is not legendary lol

They all look good!!! I personally prefer and use the vermillion until i get to craft the primordus.
yea vermilion was one of the best non legendaries imo

Sad you don't have Zweihänder in here, one of my favorite weapons in GW2 hands down.
For me personally its Eternity(both swords) and cobalt and aurene bite, jormag primordia zhaitan and so won

i really love the aesthetics of the GS but its not really my playstyle sadly
gs has many playstyles, from magical range in mesmers to hack and slash in warriors to big slow and heavy swings in reapers.
The effects are cool and all, but.. why do they make half of greatsword look like not a greatsword? The eternity is a paddleboard, the draconic ones are lances
well i guess legendaries gotta be uniquely designed.
