We are both qualified rock climbing and mountain instructors, holding the UK Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (MCI) qualification and are members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI).

Years ago I was leading a route on Shepherds Crag in Borrowdale which had a rather tricky finish. My West Cumbrian climbing friend had a border collie which came everywhere with us. It knew the area well so when I came to top out the dog had found its way up via the walkers' path and was licking my face and trying to push me off. I reckoned that it put the grade up at least one notch and was rather typical of the peculiarities of Lake District climbing.
😆 have a friend who’s collie also used to do that! Definitely adds to the grade top out!
We've all been there. You think you've got it in the bag but the final move proves to be the crux.

No, it’s going to be sore for a while. Wrists take ages to improve. Frustrating as I need to get back on Hemline and Shit.
Paradise wall is a great climb, used to be VS in one of the guide books, probably more realistic as it flows quite nice.
