      Thanks Freddie,
      think Wrong hand climb suites my style ( bouldery and good gear ) so felt pretty comfortable on it.
      Great little route

    Great video guys (as per usual of course). Sophie did really well on her climbs I thought. The Bum climb looked nails! Oh and the Gargoyle Flake looked seriously cool but really exposed from the camera angles. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still an indoor guy who mainly boulders and does a little rope climbing but the idea of trad climbing to me right now just seems terrifying. I’ve done a small amount of lead climbing indoors and even that is scary to me 😨

      Thank you Nick, great to hear you’re enjoying the videos!
      Keep up the lead climbing, it’s gets a bit easier the more you get used to it, and keep crushing the boulders!

      That top section of Gargoyle Flake is not as steep or exposed to lead as that angle makes it look. It’s fair for the grade at VS 4c and that top section isn’t the crux. It’s straight forward moves on good positive huge jugs.

    Great vid again! I really enjoyed the gro pro bits. I think I would have enjoyed more of that. Slow deliberate placing of the feet, then the hands, then repeat. For a beautiful route that cannot get boring quickly, can it?

      Thank you! You made our day!
      Do like Bamford, some great routes and the rock is a bit more abrasive than the more popular grit venues

      @@TheClimbingNomads yeah it's good for a damp day and sees a lot less traffic than Stanage!!

    What ropes are you using?

    • @TheClimbingNomads
      @TheClimbingNomads  Před 4 lety

      Hi James Murphy - not sure which brand the ropes are; we won the pair in a competition a couple of years ago, they’re ok, nothing special or treated. They might be Beal but could say for certain!
      We use a variety of brands and ropes depending on what kind of Climbing we’re doing-sport, log sport routes, chunkier doubles etc. :)
