Great video! I just repaired my 2002 Dyson Animal using this. Slightly different, and I had to scrape off the hardened OEM glue, but everything worked perfectly! Many thanks. I was not able to repair the tear for 4 years but your video solved all that.
thank you so much, I did it, and I am a 70 year old widow lol. It was so easy to save the old hose and the trick of the warm water made it all so easy. love it
I don't even have a Dyson, but was looking for a ShopVac hose repair video...I stayed for the whole repair and I am a smarter DIY-er for it! 😁 Thank you so much for your video!! 💪🙏
Thanks for this video! Unfortunately I found it after buying a replacement hose, but that's ok. It wasn't very expensive and now I can fix the old one and keep it as a spare.
I tried to repair my dyson DC 33 hose following this & after much time, effort & further damage to the worn hose decided to get a new one with little cost from a dyson agent.😀😀😀
Gone are the days I could spend hundreds of pounds on a vacuum. When I noticed a rip in the hose I almost cried. Didn’t have enough money for the replacement part let alone a new Dyson. And I know buying a cheap vacuum replacement would mean buying twice. Your tutorial saved me ££. Although I had to glue it back on😅,your instructions were spot on. God bless you!
This is a very good and helpful video. I was ready to toss it in the trash. But I saw this video and fixed my vacuum in just a few minutes. Think again
Wait this is fixable!!!? Dude just saved us £20 on buying a replacement Would highly recommend adding some adhesive to the pipe so it doesn't come off but it's up to u
Brilliant, these instructions helped enormously. No waffle, just clear instructions. Wish I'd bothered to research fixing before buying a replacement hose. 😁 Thank you very much!!
Thanks. I picked up a DC41 and managed to do your fix, and also fixed the bottom that was leaking as well, using a similar method. That was much more difficult to do, but it is possible. Thanks again :)
Thank you just fixed mine saved med on buying a new hose/vacuum and saved me from injury hahaha as i try to push them with a screwdriver and it slipped abd just missed my fingers. Excellent indepth and good technique with yge warm water 👍🏾
Perfect! Great video gave me the info to make the repair in about 15 minutes. I see your dog did get the screwdriver, I have several screwdrivers with the same K9 customization.
Good to see! I still would have cleaned the hose while it was apart and let it thoroughly dry before refitting. And of course the whole thing should be allowed to completely dry out before putting it back on the vacuum cleaner.

Thank you very much. The hose ripping is a flaw I wish they could have solved years ago. Too much tension on the end anytime you want to use the wand.
Thank you for this. I’ll give a try.

Thanks but how did you release the hose from the machine? Great diy repair
If you remove the vacuum chamber, you will see a clamp to remove the hose
Thanks
Thank you. No my dog didn’t do it. 🤣. Don’t do this do not do this of course that’s the first thing I was doing
Order one. It’s cheap.
And keep growing the garbage dumps and air pollutions all around the world.
They come around £25, that's not cheap for everyone
Genuine one is about £30
You didn’t glue it it’s gonna come on down again you can’t be that cheap they’re only 26 bucks on Amazon
Pay £28 if you like. I'd rather fix it. Nothing about being cheap you dingus.
Thanks so much, you saved me a few £
