Your video said something that the others didn't. "LUBRICATION". A little WD40 on a Q-tip in the groove and on the latch and it works like new. THANK YOU!!!!
I own a DC17 DYSON vaccuum cleaner and was stuck in the upright position and wont recline. as per your video, I lubricated the parts responsible for the slide mechanism on the undersurface on the right side with WS40. it worked and now my vaccuum is working just fine and smooth. thanks
Thank you SO much for your video. I phoned Dyson, who'd never heard of the problem but wanted £79 to send a technician out to fix it! Your solution worked perfectly. 5*!
Worked like a chime. Dysentery customer service could not figure this out. Took me 10 minutes to set everything up and 5 seconds to spray wd40 after watching this video. Thank you so much.
Thanks. Bought my DC-28 Animal in 2005. Just keeping the filters clean and applying a bit of silicon to the latch mechanism as you have mentioned here and its still going strong.
hi how many belts doas this Dyson have I have an old Panasonic vacuum cleaner and it takes two belts in just asking as my brushes don't seem to be going round
Thanks for your video.I have this DC17 MACHINE. Have a problem with it. the vertical part is stuck with the horizontal part at 90 degree and vertical part would not recline. I have to use lot of force to do that and it would make a loud sound when doing it. I feel something might break while putting force on the horizontal part to get rid of the stuck part. do you know what might be wrong with this stuck problem here. thanks. is there a way i can contact you over the phone. thanks.
*Overall 5 stars as it's exactly what we wanted,🧼 **allabout.wiki/Dyson-Upright** in terms of cleaning power. Suction is as good as all the reviews state. When we first got it, I first vacuumed with the existing vacuum and then with this, the additional fine dirt that was in the Dyson was gross and convinced me we needed this. We have medium length carpet and a terrier - no issues, I do imagine plush carpets would not work well with this. Also a little too powerful for most bathroom rugs. Great for area **rugs. One** con is the hose, it's great for reaching far away places (ceiling), but is frustrating and hard to use if you're within arm's distance (think couch and floorboards). This is due to the design of the hose having this long metal rod for extension. Also, I haven't figured out how to get the hose back together quickly as it's supposed to nest into the base of the vacuum. This piece might just be user error though.Canister is just like all others, still have to take out the middle insert to get all the dirt out. I often make a mess around the trash as I'm trying to empty it, but the suction picks that right back up.*

Excellent video...Will lubricate it tomorrow.
This was super helpful, thanks!
Hey, it worked! Thanks a lot!
Good looking out 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
thumbs up on the video! Can we also discuss why every vacuum on the market is a big plastic-y hunk of crap that won't last longer than 2 years?
To follow up: I took some neon orange craft paint, and painted the latch, so I can find it every time.
Thanks a million!
Thank you!
