3 Types of Bulky Item Garbage Trucks in the Harbor District

- So what I mean the title of the video is we have Peterbilt 520 McNeilus Meridian Front Loader, 520 Amrep Elliptical Front Loader, and a Peterbilt 320 New Way Rear Loader in the Harbor District that do bulky item. *(Saying the type of trucks we have)*. We currently have 5 bulky item trucks as of right now.
The beginning of the video was filmed in 2019 of this year. I’ve noticed one of my neighbors were throwing out old furniture. So I decided on a Friday morning (trash day), I waited for the Bulky Item Pick-Up to come and pick up all this furniture to make this video! The driver is SUPER awesome, chill, and funny lol. Also, you will see the supervisor getting out of his truck and checking on the driver. Gotta say the supervisor was really chill and funny as well. To the driver: Hope you enjoy this video!
In the next clip in the video, I’ve actually seen this truck come to my place but the driver didn’t want to be on film. This driver was really awesome and letting me film! I was surprise to see more bulky trash so I thought just film it. This area there’s all kinds of junk sometime people do illegal dumping dropping there trash and leaving it in the alleyway. When I was filming this, there was a lady talking to the driver about this issue also.
The last clip was filmed in December of 2018. To me, this Rear Loader truck I don’t see it too often. This was just a random find. I’m very happy to film one of these they sound very nice. And entertaining of course.
Huge shoutout goes to these hard workers for keeping the City clean!

These places are lucky to have these guys come round pick that bulky garbage. In my town, I have to make an appointment days before with the local council so they can send a truck and then it's only one item up to a certain size, have to give them measurements too .. lol
Lol I live in apartments so I dont have to worry about. Bulk trash. But I used to live in Las Vegas you didn't have to do an appointment. You just had to leave it on the curb on bully trash day and the would get it.you just have to call and let them know you were putting out bulk trash.

I have to confess the rear end loaders are more interesting to watch. Unless of course you could get a bird's eye view of the first two trucks so we can see the compactor in action.
That rear loader sounds like a New Way. They have a distinctive compactor sound.
Lol. My favorite kind of trash truck is the rear loaders.

Would never work here in my part of the UK. I used to work for the local council. Our Bulky items were like 100 pickups in one day. This video it takes the poor guy like nearly 10 mins for one pick up. Rear loaders and two loaders/driver for the win. If we had done it this way we'd have been out for like 16 hours...

Man and I thought South La was the only place with illegal dumpings I literally have to report these Apt one block over every Thursday so they can come Friday on trash day and pick up all the crap thr dirty tenants throw out . Last crew was really fast and efficient great video man!

. I know what it is like I live in apartments. And after the trash truck comes the matniance people have to go clean it up. Cause there is a mess cause the tenants dont put trash in the dumpster half the time . They just sit it down on the ground.

The great old valuable things people throw away just because there was some antique things there. That is so sad.
In my 30 years of working in the waste industry front loaders are the worst to pick up bulky items. Rear loaders are the best way for bulky items.
For a one man crew front loaders are easier and safer....

Sometimes, I give them a hand for carrying any heavy objects like 🛋, 🛏, tables, or appliances, when they don’t have a partner for bulk waste as working alone.
Yo doy una idea alguna persona debe de tener un depósito hay llevar eso cortos que están bueno y donarlo a personas que necesitan que no tienen nada en sus casa da lástima que boten casos que están buena que la persona que lo boto no lo necesita pero hay personas que si necesitan de esos cortos ajola que se pongan de acuerdo varias personas para que agan campaña de recoger las cosas buenas y regalarla a personas que son muy pobres dios te bendiga 🙏🙏🙏

This is a complete waste of time and also unsafe for 1 person. Case loader with a tink, and a rear loader with a shute.. get the job done in less then 5 minutes.
