      Tall runners have an advantage at middle distance to some degree. They have longer legs and a faster kick at the end. Shorter ones have more endurance.

      Avril Lavigne well he’s not tall at 5’8” but he’s about 150 lbs which is kinda heavy for a runner

    • @TheMrKobeBryant2012
      @TheMrKobeBryant2012 Před 4 lety

      If you're 5'10", 150 isn't heavy for a runner. That's in the ideal range for that height. I don't understand what you mean. How tall is he?

    • @TheMrKobeBryant2012
      @TheMrKobeBryant2012 Před 4 lety

      Like if he was 5'7" or 5'8", ideal may be 130-140.

      @@bryantmoreland2549 Where did you get that height and weight? When I Google, I see a 36-year-old Australian surfer name Josh Kerr who's 5'8", 154 lbs, but that's not the runner Josh Kerr. Craig Engels is 6' (according to this interview: www.runnersworld.com/news/a20856344/who-was-that-college-runner-with-the-magnificent-mullet/), and it looks like Kerr is about the same height in the video (see 3:30 or 5:41).

      Some people are naturally born with a talent, I never did track and field yet I made it to my college track and field team, my coach asked me what high school I run for and I told him I never did that I started running just to get in shape for soccer season during summer and end up liking it and he though I was lying cause I did pretty well against people who he had last year and that came recommended by someone or that did track in high school. My father is also a runner and he was the one who recommend me to run to increase my stamina in soccer, maybe is genetic too. I no longer play soccer competitive maybe for fun with friends but I’m more dedicated to running now.

      No, he's pointing out the WR holder for the 1600, ran 3:28 for the 1500 split of it, which is fair since he's running further, if only 100m. No clue why it's a big deal to call him out.
