Thank you heavenly Father for letting me know the gospel and have your word and guidance in right division. Mid Acts is the only way it makes sense Lord. Thank you for this amazing life you've given me. I pray for Israel that I know you will protect. Thank you for this day, let us rejoice and be glad in it Father. In Jesus name Amen

It is a great blessing to have a concise and accurate explanation about God's promise to preserve His Word. We need to remember that with the attacks on the KJV growing more frequent with each passing day, that Satan uses the same tactic to deceive that he used on Adam and Eve 6000 years ago; "Ye, Hath God said?"
Thank you Bro. David Reid for this question and answer in a stand alone post. God Bless!

    Deuteronomy *16:11*
And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.

The first “LORD” in Deuteronomy 16:11 is the 1611th mention of “LORD” out of 6472 total mentions of “LORD” (uppercase) in the King James Bible.
“LORD” is also the 7th and the 49th (7x7) word in Deuteronomy 16:11.
The 49th (7x7) mention of the search phrase “his name” is in Deuteronomy 16:11.

Ye, KJV for me too :)
Salvation is a 3 part process -> saved/justified is the first part.
The next part is the ONGOING sanctification part of Salvation.
With glorification being the third :)

The total number of verses in Mark if it ends at Mark 16:8 (Where modern Bibles and scholars suggest it should end) is 666.
With Mark 16:9-20, which contains the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ to the right hand of God, the total number of verses in Mark is 678.

The NIV Bible also leaves out one of the most important verses in the bible Acts 8:37,
any bible that denies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is not a bible inspired by God but by Satan.......

One of the issues of logic that should be obvious about preservation is this: if God has been active in preserving His written words down through the centuries, etc., wouldn't the whole purpose of this preservation be to allow these words to be available, reproduced, broadcasted, wildly exposed to many people? Yet these foolish individuals would have us believe that some smuggled away "newly discovered" scraps somewhere in a monastery or cave somewhere is how God chose to present His words to the world in 2023? It's laughable.

Pastor David Reid ! Could you enlighten me on Hebrews 1:14 ? I have difficulty understanding this verse regarding angels described as ministering spirits to those who shall be heirs of salvation.

I have had this conversation about preservation with a dear friend recently. It came about because of verses like Galations 2:7 and 1 Cor 5:1 where her ESV and my KJV differ. She says God DID preserve his word by keeping it safe in caves and etc. The issues raised by the different translation are not salvific so they won't make a difference. I said they would make a difference at the believers' judgement seat. Question: How can I better answer this objection?
She is a biblical counselor and knows her scripture very well, but I'm afraid her church traditions coupled with her Bible translation and having recently been a serious student of Moody have her unable to come to the truth about preservation.

@3420144 One thing to keep in mind is that God preserves its word not simply so that it physically exists somewhere, such as a cave or private library, but so that it is available for believers to read. It is more than obvious that all discoveries of "new" readings by definition have not been preserved for believers throughout time and therefore cannot be the word of God. Hope this helps.

@@ColumbusBibleChurch what makes me think the KJV
is the must accurate, even before hearing these differences,
Are, the amount of verses in the longest chapter in the bible
And how many books in the old testament:
      16×11, 16+11
      (176, 27)
Also, 16 years after people started going on the gregorian calendar (1753)
      The 1769 was written

    ...from this generation for ever.
What generation? The Psalmist didn't have the N.T.
    What Is for ever?
The logical conclusion that I've come to is , the King's English, as we call it , has always been.

    About the KJV...
When some choose to place their faith in the literal “ink and paper”, then perhaps the KJV is the only place they will find comfort.
In the providence of God, He has made certain His message of salvation has been delivered to man "once and for all time" (Jude 3), and that it is certain, inerrant, and infallible.
I find His message through the study of many Bible versions, mostly the ASV, the KJV, and CSB, prayer, and some "resource" materials to include, but not limited to, a Greek-English lexicon and an expository dictionary. All the while I realize that ALL of these are imperfect "vessels" that contain the "perfect" word.
Some insist that some uninspired men paid by a King somehow obtained the "exclusive" in translating the limited Bible related materials they had at that time - (especially compared to what there is today) - and some further insist these men were "inspired" when doing so. To me this thinking is first - spurious, and second - self-serving to the ideas delivered to them by other men.
I have never underestimated the providence of God nor the influence of the Holy Spirit to work through any "instrument" chosen by God, to provide man with a knowledge of the truth unto salvation (2 Peter 1:2-4)!
Sometimes... God uses ink&paper to do that.!
On this question of "KJV Only", some demand "square box" answers for their "square box" questions. Regrets... there are not always "square box" answers, but the Word of Jehovah God will endure forever!
