  • THE PRINCESS ARCHETYPE
The archetypal energy of the Princess centres on attraction and vulnerability.
The Princess has the characteristics that attract attention. They have a soft beauty and charm about them that commands your attention.
They compel the observer to drop their defences and tune into the energy of purity and vulnerability. Princess Diana and Princess Grace are the perfect examples of that attractive energy and vulnerability.
They exude grace and composure that would melt the harshest critic.
The Princess uses her attraction and vulnerability to find safety and security.
The King has the perfect archetypal energy to protect and defend the Princess. In Diana’s case she was bemused by the royal energy of a Prince that would never be King and the relationship deteriorated, but in most cases, the Princess does live happily ever after, not with her Prince but with her King.
Once the safety and security of the Princess is established, she will settle into the equivalent of court life; that is, attaining everything she wants from her home to company that entertain her.
The key archetypal energy that will challenge the Princess is responsibility. She will need to understand the limitations of the world around her and be responsible and content within those boundaries. She must understand how to budget not only her finances, but also time and energy.
The Princess may be required to work and usually she will call upon other archetypal energy to assist her in her duties.
There are work opportunities that will suit the Princess archetypal energy, but more than that, the Princess will have little difficulty in finding a suitable position. Her attractive energy guarantees popularity.
The Princess needs to be aware that her seeming naivety and the lure of public exposure can produce unedifying consequences.
The media delights in the exposé of young females behaving badly. More often than not these young ladies have Damsel archetypes but occasionally there is a Princess thrown into that mix. If you’re looking for a Princess role model, Princess Diana was a wonderful example. She showed how a Princess can use her beauty, charm and eloquence to engage the public and the media.
She did this not for her own edification, but to highlight the plight of others less fortunate than her.
Diana was content to use her privileged role to contribute to the betterment of society. This was positive Princess energy at its most effective.
