  • I have a small demo here showing some sound tube Fusion VCO 2 from Erica Synths.
This vco is based on Tube and gives really strong sound.
in this video you first have the same wave show with the addition of a sub oscillator and tube crunch and you can see how much the sound degrades. a little detune - this feature is based on two BBD delay and nice tuning but also works like a built-in LFO which allows you to shape many new sounds.
later the same functions but shown with the sequencer, I used Pico SEQ here and quite short EG.
then a bit of fun with the beat, which shows how cool it sounds in electronic music, for me it is a great oscillator, which I have not heard before.
later in the last part it is a slight change in the sequence with a bit but with the addition of FM a little bit of modulation also introduces other sounds and of course all the fun in the movie.
this is only part of the possibilities of this VCO, but I just wanted to approximate the general outline of the sound that can be obtained, for me the sub oscillator is amazing here, which completes the sound for beautiful warmth and tube sound.
I also used Fusion mixer from the same series for this movie and used drums from Pico Drums like kick/snare and 2 snare /hat from grphic vco in Drum mode.

I knew my rack was 100% complete.....then I discovered the fusion series 😂

The whole Fusion series is amazing. I bought Das Kleine Fusion and loved it (mostly, still not sure I like the Fusion Modulator). One thing I did discover, though, is you absolutely can overdo it with tubes in modular. I wanted to have a huge number of tube modules, because I love warm sounds and aggressive sounds. What I discovered while exploring is that a little distortion goes a long way and, if every step in the signal chain is high gain, your waveforms get much too mangled to sound good. One tube module, sure, crank it. But if you go with a Fusion SYSTEM, you gotta dial it back quite a bit unless the sound you're after is literally noise.

Love the sound. I've got the other Fusion VCO with the 2 tubes, pretty beefy! Cheers!

That one with the 2 tubes it’s just at the end of the chain

    This sound...yes

I've got one of these and have a question for you. If you change the FM level(regardless of the other settings) it alters the pitch of the output. Is this normal ?

      ???

      yes

yes because its fm is exponential. you could probably remedy thus by adding a happy nerding fm aid. i've got two fusion vco2 and in an effort to create a complex oscillator i've cheated that fm by hard synching one, i forget to what and the rest of the patch but it can hold a pitch while you cv the other's 1v/oct.

Can we hear some pads from this baby?
