- To create this Artex wall texture pattern I have used a small stipple brush
Inside this video:
Sealing/priming the wall prior to texturing it so the texture delays drying before you have chance to create the pattern
Mixing the texture by hand to the correct consistency for the texture pattern.
Application of the texture onto the wall.
Creating the scroll (swirl) pattern. How to use a hand held stipple brush to create fine textures
Finally, how to finish off and tidy up ceiling wall perimeter edges of the texture pattern (this method applies to many full wall / full ceiling mud texture patterns, including creative comb textures
Thank you for watching
This texture should keep everyone off the walls. Looks Great.
Thanks Mike. The pattern is smooth to the touch, also. Thanks for commenting have a great day
I love this one. Love the abstract feel to it. I can wee painting it a twine string color and then going lightly over it with a soft metallic like copper color or even burnished gold .Also, magic changing pink walls!
Hi there Veronica, so many questions in such a short space so I will try to answer them all here, as the remaining fee on my electricity meter is about to expire and I will experience a blackout.
The finger technique, agreeable, is one favoured method known by some and was quite popular in the UK back in the day. (Oh the good ole days.)
For the edge at tidying the bottom finish of the texture pattern, I could really kick myself because so many ask, concerning all texture patterns, how I have finished around the edges/perimeter in treebark pattern and broken leather and scroll and comb techniques and effects. So I will make sure I include said scenarios in my future videos - I hope you stay tuned.
And for painting the scroll pattern all those airy fairy colours you mention in your last comment, come on Veronica your having a laugh lol.
May I also suggest you don't view my vids whilst using the privy.
But I do agree on the copper metallic effect and the abstract finish surely pleases eyes of beholders, you have astounding taste I must say.
But no way, you can forget the pink walls!
Where ever you are in the world, have a great day and I wish you all the best.
Thank you again for visiting my channel and for commenting

Hi Dale,
Your design looks beautiful. I want to create a textured finish wall. I live in Toronto, Canada and we do not get Artex products here. Is there a substitute for Artex that you use in this video that is available in North America? Please advise.
Thanks
Hi there Gazala, there sure are products for creating textured finishes available in Canada. Quite a few sets of comb tools are shipped there and I am leaving this post open for someone to hopefully provide the answer you are looking for whilst I contact some of my Canadian friends to let me know the products used

Hey Dale I've looked online for these brushes and it seems that they are only available in the UK any idea how I can get one here in the states.
Yes of course, James, I ship comb tools to many countries worldwide. Just hit me up to know more, or check out my website. Thanks for commenting
Yo can buy those brushes in Tijuana.... ..
an you do this on a ceiling also?
+bhinkle123 Scroll texture pattern is a ceiling &/or wall pattern. The stipple brush is ideal (compared to a wide brush) to create fine brush textures and stipple. Thanks for commenting
