  • I was asked to take a look at this Spyra water pistol to see if I could fix it, having looked on line I could not find any info so here is a quick video to show the internals.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Stripping down a faulty Spyra.
    Faults.
    Blown bladder. Over filled?
    Water then flooded the
    Inside components.
    Display full of water.
Electro magnet valve corroded and sticking.
    -----------------
Display was sealed with silicone sealant and can be picked open. The circuit was then cleaned using WD electrical contact cleaner.
This fixed the screen and then re sealed with new sealant.
The electro magnet valve was corroded and not fully working, this was stripped and cleaned but still not good enough to short burst. When the trigger was held for the multi burst the valve did work better.
Bladder shown removed and stripped down.
The metal zip tie looks to be a one time use item.

wow I was just going to place an order for one of these until I saw the poor quality rubber pipe split like that no way am I buying one now thanks for this video it saved me £150!!! I find it crazy when I try to avoid cheap knock offs from china but looking at the sate of this inside it just looks as bad plastic splits and corroded parts shocking.

Late comment here, but I figured I would reach out and see if you had any luck with this. I just opened mine due to it not holding any water in the bladder. Thankfully the bladder is intact, it just slipped off of the grey pipe coming from the pump. The plastic piece on the bladder and the top hat piece on the piston were both broken. I was able to draw up some 3d models and print some replacements.
Curiously my water gun is missing two pieces that I see on your machine. First, there was no spring behind the trigger. Second, there is no metal band around the end of the bladder. I'm leaning towards them corroding away after some use in a chlorinated pool. Without the metal band there was a massive failure and the pressure broke some of the weaker plastic pieces.

I can't thank you enough for this video. I had a Spyra 3 break after 3 weeks of use. The company replaced it free of charge. It just arrived today. It's great to see what's inside the unit and how it works so I better understand how to maintain my Spyra 3. Aside from the water reservoir, I was most impressed with the balloons around the electrical components.
My unit failed with a full tank and battery, and I was hesitant on how to dispose of it, and make it safe to dispose. Now I know.
    Again, thank you. 🇨🇦
