  • How to remove and replace the front brake discs (rotors) on a 1999 to 2005 Toyota Yaris 1.0 petrol. It is recommended that if you are fitting a brand new set of brake discs, you should replace the old pads with new ones at the same time. Also, if you are fitting new discs, before you install them, use brake cleaner and a cloth to wipe off the rust protection coating from both sides of the discs.
    Torque settings:
Caliper Bracket Bolts: 88 Nm (65 foot pounds)
Caliper Bolts: 34 Nm (25 foot pounds)

Nice clear process, thankyou for the video. Whilst dismantled, I'd clean up the caliper assembly and bolts too, with some copper slip for good measure. And may I be so cheeky as to suggest an apostrophe at 7'10" ?

Great thorough video, any idea what torque the 17mm bracket bolts and 14mm caliper assembly bolts should be? You said to just tighten. Thanks for the video!

Great video clear and concise step by step, asalways. Is it ok to use copper grease to lubricate the guide pins,or should I use HMP grease ?Look forward to next video.

Thanks very much. No I don't think copper grease can be used or multipurpose grease. I think it needs to be a silicone base grease as far as I know.
