now I know what those holes in the drum are for. when we did my son's brakes recently, we ended up hitting it numerous times to release the drum. if I had known about those holes, it would have been easier. thanks. when we put it back together, we coated that surface with a thin layer of anti seize grease so hopefully it does not do that again. thanks for sharing.
michael adams if you hit drum with a hammer that may transfer force in to a bearing hub and shorten his life or damage. My mechanic did that couple months ago now replacing rear bearing hub after it only did 50k miles... Coincidence? :-)
Thanks for a tip, very useful

Hello there Peter Finn why is my toyota yaris brake on rear left skidding when driving and brakes feel weak
MAybe Air in system?
Peter Finn oh thank you for help and reply. I will go garage tomorrow. Sunday all closed. Could it be the drum that is old and rusty
what are the size of the bolts you used to get drum off
m8 x 1.25 - use something like 40mm or so.
@@SurpriseMeJT thank you sir
one small problem the echo dose not have a adjuster like this ill update when i find out how to adjust pads in and out
Well, I need to investigate.
If i remove my drum for paint it...... it is mandatory to adjust the brake like u did with the screwdriver?
No, You can only remove and paint.
+Peter Finn thank you!
What size is the small bolt you used to take drum off
It's 13mm by the way
M8
Thanks
Thank you and I really appreciate your feedback.
Nice job! Just a heads up:
The "holes" are "teeth", and the breaks expand (bigger) and contract (smaller).
Thanks, good idea !
Brakes
Dear Peter my this model car's one rear pad wear too early as compared to others, please must reply what could be the issue??
Ok. Bad brake caliber or bad brake disc
What size of the bolt in the hub to loose it
