I saw one stop completely yesterday, and block both lanes of the highway, after panicking when a police car came up behind with lights and sirens. The police were not happy, nor were two lines of traffic stopped behind...
About the helis my dad works for caffi a goods provider for stores like Harvey Norman etc and the old pallets that they don’t use they give to the chopper training place behind his work so yeah and awesome vid mate
That was some great catches from the emergency service in those three countries, I was very impressed with the ones from New Zealand, mu 'old home' country, you have yourself another subscriber.
One ambulance was decked out with red and blues as a trial back in the 90's, but they never went with it... www.111emergency.co.nz/Ambulance/Northern/SU8286.JPG
NZ law dictates flashing blue lights indicate law enforcement officers and you must pull over and stop if required (such as Fisheries) whereas red shows an emergency vehicle that can break some road rules and you must pull over and allow it to pass (ambulance and fire). Hence why police have red and blue lights
Pfft typical aussies with bigger lights and sirens syndrome 🤣. Since when has that ever been a factor in anything what so ever. Us kiwis get the job done even when we dont have all the fancy yank lighting. RESPECT to all the brave men and women of Australia and NZ fire services.
I live here in Concord, New Hampshire [USA] and Local Police Vehicle's have Only Blue Light's on them No Red Light's [unless you count the LED's in the back brake light's] ,County Sheriff Vehicle's use to be only Blue Light's now Both Red and Blue and N.H. State Police Vehicle's use to be only Blue Light's but the brand new one's are now Blue and White Light's in the front, Red and Blue Light's in the back.
Australian people stop when we see Ambulance Fire truck or even Police car all the time
So do New Zealanders...
