The old front 3 would have scored hat ticks today against that crap. 15 chances compared to their zero in that first half criminal by us haven't learnt our lessons 2/3 weeks ago in Cup game.
100% agree. A top top side simply doesn’t spurn that many chances all through the season. You need to be on a mental ward if you truely think you can actually win the PL missing that many chances and drawing games. You never never should give your competitive advantage to your competitors: that is what we did today. I don’t have that much sympathy : the player get paid millions at our club - they are paid to put those chances away, everyone has a bad day, but guess what, if you cannot out those chances away, then dont expect to win trophies. That’s probably why we only have the 1 PL in 35 years. Fair enough.

Remember guys ,these players make thousands of pounds every week whether they win or lose ,money which most of us will never see in our entire lives ..... I support (Liverpool and real madrid) .... But what i respect about madrid fans is that they whistle, boo and make it known to under performing players to get more serious .... While we suffer with joblessness or harsh low paying jobs these guys make millions kicking a ball ,which we pay to see , they must be more serious with their performances. .... There is no way professional players can miss that many chances in the first half no way , it shows lack of seriousness ....it causes a lot of hurt to the fans who work so hard to pay these players ..... The players will quickly forget about that as soon as they get paid ..... What's also a good idea is Liverpool shouldn't need to score 2 or 3 plus goals to win a football match. Liverpool are weak defensively and that will cost you points let alone winning a title. Liverpool only have themselves to blame AGAIN!

it was exactly a carbon copy of the FA cup game, have a one goal leaf keep wasting chances then united take the lead and we panicked, luckily we didn't lose but based off that first half performance we should've been out of sight and i hope it doesn't cost us the title

Salah is also done. Its a mystery how a player can be so good, yet so bad at the same time.
Do we practice shooting enough? Sounds like a dumb question but listening to how Henry would spend hours after training practicing his finishing underlines that this is as much a result of hard work as talent.
I Just knew it would be the same.... In the 3 games this season we must've had over 80+ shots against the worst United in living memory..... And have not won a game!!! All our composure and decision making goes out the window!!!

Agree with Chloe. I called that draw weeks ago as it was so predictable. However, it's done now, no point dwelling on it or losing our heads as it changes nothing. We're still in it & it's in our hands with 7 games to go which we all would've taken at the start of the season.
For so very long, I have been amazed that in disxussions like this one, that focus on poor finishing, no one *ever* brings up the possibility that players’ finishing skills are not being coached well enough. Why is that? I truly don’t understand. Shooting is obviously a skill that can and should be worked on in training, and yet the only explanations I hear about poor finishing are: he is not a good natural finisher, he’s in poor form, he lacks confidence, etc. If players are having problems being clinical, why don’t coaches train them to be more clinical instead of worrying mostly about creating chances and hoping that goals will follow at some point. I’m truly curious about this. Can someone help me understand? If I’m wrong about this, please explain why…
It wouldn’t be such a glaring concern if we weren’t creating over 20 chances a game. It’s so hard to watch the team everything but the shot right.

the front 3 of Diaz, Nunez and Salah didn't work. Nunez runs hot and cold, on-form, he's fab, but on his occasional off days, he's not effective either in build-up and/or in his finishing. Consistency may come with time for him. Diaz is similarly hot and cold. Salah looks to be off the boil. We need to find a way to improve Jota's fitness as he's our most potent attacking player when he's fit, but his injury niggles slow down our momentum. Investment in the forward line is required in the summer, we're been stuttering in finishing terms since the break up of the Mane-Firmino-Salah trident.
Szobo, MacA and Endo have to step up with bullet shots over the heads of low block defenders and into the net like they have done (and like Mainoo's) Are they not allowed to shoot? Maybe they were doing better without Salah? Not scoring has been a problem for the last few years. Always seeming to want to walk the ball into the net with just one pass too many. Over-thinking it as some have put it.
We need to spend big money on a couple of finishers next season, cant rely on that front 3 to take enough chances to win big trophies.

Szobo was a drive machine of LFC attacks. After replaced with Jones LFC attacks collapsed ! Callaher performance was double 0 !
This match was the story of our season but we're still in there. Same usual slow start. Fluff our lines again and again. Always give the other team chances.

That front 3 of Diaz, Nunez & Salah is not a good combination. They seem like pace merchant with no clinical edge. Salahs game has evolved and needs to move from RW. Unfortunately Gakpo has lost his identity in the team and Jota always gets injured. Would love to see Danns get the last couple minutes of games in that striker role he looks like a promising footballer.

Liverpool in very strong position and played their hardest game on paper. Level on points at the top still 1 point ahead of City. With Jota /Trent back, doubters will turn believers!

The front 6 have not been good enough this season (Jota because he’s always injured). I would sell Nunez for a 30mil bid, Salah can’t be one of the first names on the team sheet anymore. Szobo needs to up his game, he’s overrated.
Priority for the next manager is to sign another clinical striker. Jota aside, our forwards are not natural strikers.
Nunez 5 goals in last 8 games, won the points at Forest, with Macca brilliant ball. Time Salah was dropped, Elliott does more than Salah and gets the penalty . Nunez put 2 simple chances for Salah on a plate. Nunez had 3 shots from between 20 yard sand 18 yards blocked by defenders inside the 5 yard box. Kellher was 4 yards to far out of his goal and no United player was in our half. Bad error. Quansah horrendous moment, where he played the ball without looking was so bad, even my Tortoise shouted is a of Gerrad moment again like V Chelsea when we lost the title

How about some credit , for man utd.. Scored 2 cracking goals and conceded a penalty.. Liverpool may have had a lot of chances, but our keeper was excellent also.. Van -Dyke, stated in the last game against utd that we parked the bus and didn't try to win the game.. Well we certainly had ago this time around , so what's your excuse now..still didn't get the job done.. overall the 3 games played this season, between Liverpool and man utd have ended in 2 draws and a fa cup win to us.. can't use injuries an excuse either, utd have more player's out.. Another thing, we played a lot of our academy player's today. That r very young and at the beginning of the career 's.. All this and utd r meant to be having a year from hell.. 2 goals is enough to win at Old Trafford, provided you can actually defend/keep a clean sheet. Liverpool can't. It is that simple. Arsenal won comfortably against Brighton because they kept a clean sheet while Liverpool went a goal down. You can't concede goals all the time and win the league. The attack isn't the problem, it is the defence yet none of these commenters seem to be aware of this fact and adopt the saviour mantra (this missing player would solve x problem - Jota). Jota or not, concede 6 goals in 2 games against the worst Utd team in decades and you get what you deserve (1 defeat and 1 draw).
