As a non Manchester United supporter, I just want add that the biggest draw of visting was the stadium and the sheer size of it, it truly was something to see. Now, many more clubs are near enough the same size at the top of the premier league. To stand out, you really do need to think about building a brand new stadium and make it 100k. That alone would bring in more sales and return that feeling of awe. Real Madrid and Barcelona are leading the way in sheer size right now, you need to emulate that. Having been to the new Spurs in the home end, my jaw dropped to the floor when I arrived, everything is of such a high standard, you couldn't fail to be impressed, it is magnificent. Increasing capacity will also bring in much more revenue for the club, and the added facilities and purposely design immenities will allow different events to be hosted. The new ground will be making far more revenue in downtime between homex european and cup games. Being a classed world class stadium, those extra features are very much needed. I get the nostalgic attachment, but Old Trafford is not the stadium it once was. To push forward, you need to be forward thinking. You can keep the old stadium, but reduce its capacity down to one tier and move your ladies team there and for exhibition matches and some training, thus allowing you to keep much of that history. A 100k stadium is possible with the land you have. A new fanzone can be added, further parking and possibly have its own station.
An absolute pleasure taking part in this great video Jay 😊👍🏾 …also great to be amongst some top United content-creating lads 🍻🍻🍻 “Weee’ve seeen it aallll… 🎶
Thanks for joining in mate 😁👍
@RysFootyParadise Big up to you bro you’re a legend 👑👑👑❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
First and foremost the one point not mentioned is 'Capacity' . It is vital the club build a stadium that holds around 100,000 . Why you may ask? On match days the number of kids attending is minimal and we need a stadium that offers cheaper prices for kids and students. I think this could best be done by building a new stadium. Having been a fan for 60 yrs I can understand the sentiment of keeping the current stadium but you lhave to look to the future and any new stadium would be on land the club already own. Go for it Jim!!!
I think with either option they're looking to reach around 90k capacity
sick video mate well planned.
I think its tough but we defo need to accept that we need a new stadium. After the kyle walker interview its quite insane to me how aware players are nowadays. They notice everything to attract the best players we need to have world class facilities too.
Thanks mate! And yeah for sure, to attract the best you've got to have the best
The world moves on build a new stadium spurs is a fantastic stadium
I don't see any potential in old Trafford for renovation. We definitely need a new stadium. Past is for the past. We should think about the future.
But hope we stay on same pitch..😢
Paid for with what? More debt or tax payers while the Glazers continue robbing the club?
Yes old Trafford is getting small and more boring nowdays as football stadium, so they can build new stadium next to it or renovate old Trafford and make it much bigger and better looking stadium, like Fc Barcelona is doing with Camp Nou and Real Madrid with Santiago Bernabeu.
@@Jout8-re1ij With what money?
@@Jout8-re1ij While they are conjuring money out of thin air, do you think they can solve world famine aswell?
No way the taxpayer is oaying for a new stadium for s tax dodger
Yeah that's was dodgey when he said that!
I think the “ Wembley of the North “ title was claimed over 70 years ago when Vale Park was built 🤣🤣🤣
100k capacity
Retractable roof and pitch
I do understand the benefits of moving to a new stadium although I think when the novelty has worn off, we will look at grounds like Anfield in how they've kept all their history and kept their soul of remaining in their home and feel a little sad, it is more than a stadium it's almost a place of worship, but logistically it may be a move that's needed but it will be with a heavy heart.
Great video man, subbed! One thing I really hope is they don't make it a big bowl like every other modern stadium. Throw a few hard edges in there, give it some character and make it feel like an evolution of OT, not just what's trendy right now.
Very good video. As much as I don’t want to see the old stadium demolished but i do believe its time for change and thats a new stadium. The sooner the better.
Number 1 is the best option
I'm a fan of a club just down the road (BWFC), but I see it as a great opportunity to have a proper new stadium for the north. Not just for MUFC, but things the Super League Grand Final as well - after going to the NFL at Tottenham I was blown away by how smart that place is. North deserves something similar!
Pleasure to be asked to be apart of this video mate. Looks like we’re getting want we want
Thanks for jumping on, I appreciate you give your thoughts 🔥
@doubleafc Big up to you Double A the legend 👑👑👑❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Let's hope it going to happen ❤
New stadium 100% Biggest in the world!
The other problem is the shape of the land.
While it might be huge - it is long and narrow.
So the new stadium may have the same problem as the current Old Trafford, in that one of the stands has to be a lot smaller than the other 3 stands, limiting capacity to around the 80 to 85k mark. And what is the point of spending 2 billion quid and only increase the capacity by 5k.
That is true and a interesting way of looking at it!
@@jaytomlinsfcMan Utd could genuinely fill a 100k stadium IMO. Only United and Liverpool can, from what I have heard.
They have fans waiting years for season tickets.
It would be great to stay on that land, maybe the pitch can be swung around 90 degrees, and have 2 ginormous stands stretching way way into the length of the block. These 2 stands could have 38k fans each. That way the 2 smaller stands at the ends of the goals only need to hold about 12 k each.
It might look unorthodox, but you could have your 100k stadium on that land.
@Whaleydavey I think United would easily fill 125,000 every game. I see the added revenue that our new stadium (Spurs supporter) has given our club, can you imagine how much money 125,000 supporters would generated! It would be insane and see the debt that the Glazers lumped the club with paid off very quickly. What are transport links like to Old Trafford these days? I haven't been in 15 years.
@@madMARTYNmarsh1981 I think you are right. But for some reason, English clubs don’t take the risk to invest heavily on huge stadiums. Look at Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City and Westham that all have 60k mostly full stadiums. They always say well these stadiums are only 97-98% full so we dont need an 80k stadium. They dont account for sick fans, fans on holiday or any other myriad of reasons.
I personally think Everton could fill a much larger stadium than the 53k new Bramley Moore Dock stadium.
They might be wasting an opportunity. It would probably have cost them much less to have just increased the size of the stands by 15%, rather than completely rebuild one of the stands to add 9k seats in the future; not to mention it doesn’t look as good.
I have to be truthful and admit I’m not a Man Utd fan, though it is one of the clubs I admire greatly. Hence I dont know the status of transport, if they ever re-opened the train line behind the South stand ( and it doesn’t interfere with the New stadium) the transport might be a lot more efficient. Instead of relying solely on the other stations that are all quite far away.
@@madMARTYNmarsh1981United can’t sell all their tickets as it is.
The parking is an asset that shouldn't be ignored (I would have liked good parking options, tied to game or at least season tickets at the THFC stadium. Instead I have to get the train and that is expensive these days). I would propose a multi floor car park to liberate some of the space for a campus, tied to season tickets. On non game days the parking could be used by the community around the stadium through a paid parking scheme, maybe rent the parking spaces, make the facility high security so people can park there without fear of car theft. There are many options to make money from what we would consider dead land when a match isn't being played, that revenue could be pumped back into the club. It would also provide fulltime jobs for locals, councils love stuff like that when planning permission is being considered.
This Ratcliff needs to chill just get UTD competing for the league first.
The guy is planning is planning the honeymoon before he even met the girl
Envious rival fan .😅😅😅😅😅....so were Arsenal competing for trophy while they moved into their new stadium? Stupid comment
Don’t think your going to have a stadium in the next 2-3 years. It’s all I’ve been hearing from united fans. It took spurs 10 years from its announcement in 2008 to 2019 to get that beautiful stadium built. And it cost 1b in a time where everything was cheaper. That same stadium built today would be over 2b.
Says a bitter butt hurt fan..It's United who has the money
@@prakashm1468 your talking nonsense mate. What’s butt hurt? You seem to be an expert in it
As a Spurs fan ( and YT Channel ) and Barcelona fan, we've had our homes practically turned to dust.
It's no big deal to see a new ground built to replace an old ground.
All the best 👍
Yeah interesting to see fans move on
At present The Old Trafford Stadium is still incomplete & needs is an upgrade of the SBC stand & East & West quadrant to be completed first before you can sort out the roof.
This Stadium has a lot of potential & can be one of the best stadium in Europe if not the world with the original design cos it has authentic & character with the potential capacity of at least 90K, all it needs is an refurbished & some TLC.
Take Note: The Stadium Expansion Must Not Exceed the rail way track!
Man Utd 's Old Trafford 'The Super Bowl of Stadiums known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' is unique & a Colossal of a stadium.
Man Utd's Old Trafford Stadium known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world.
The Owners were the ones who stop the Original project by using the excuse of the rail track complications. As stated previously, the design has already been laid out for completion of the stadium by original designers, to finish before the train track but the owners compromised by installed the 3rd tier cos the fans were complaining about the capacity at that time.
Alls well we like to think that once the owners depart or bring in SJR and his team we can address the layout for the necessary expansion of the South stand, East & West quadrant issue ASAP because Wembley or Man City's Etihad is to far to deal with the fan base, we're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss, going by our walk around the stadium experience by observation.
Take Note: The Stadium Expansion should Not Exceed the rail track.
We feel in 18 month to 2 years copying Real Madrid project with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch!
Worth a view, please share!
How can you have a historic Manchester landmark that IS NOT IN MANCHESTER😅
😂😂😂😂
GG
One things for sure,It will be the best stadium in the country !!
Could do the same style video with Newcastle 👀👀
Yeah 100%!
Will look into it 🔥
Should definitely happen. Only fair all the other premier league teams chip in as it would be in national interests. Wouldn't be right a billionaire owner spent his own money.
I see them building a new stadium right next door.
we need new stadium
Wembley Stadium will get an upgrade in the future making it around 110.000. So Man U need to go for around a 100.000. Which has been left to rot
I think the time for renovation had come and gone, the Glazers should've done it about a decade ago. New Stadium is now the best option financially in the long run, especially when you think about the boring shit like, heating, water, electricity and general operational costs would come down. However I feel they should carefully bring down a few bits of OT and implement into the new stadium.
They'll need a stadium that size up north for according to the BBC womens football is really taking off .
Hello 👋🏼 From Chile 🇨🇱,I never saw that images from old trafford. What do you think about the beta solution for this stadium??
Future what future? Heared all this Hype before.
I think a new stadium would be the best alternative
If Jim was a real MU fan, he would put his own money to build a new stadium, just like real fans do when they buy their tickets, shirts and souvenirs with their own money and don't ask anybody for it. Looks like he's not the MU fan that some people believed he was when he bought his shares.
As a Liverpool fan we are redeveloping Anfield at a snails pace and not particularly well I might add could've been a lot more cleaner and more spectacular. don't get me wrong it's good to keep your home ground especially for historic clubs but you have the space in the same area right by your current stadium, in my opinion you are far better building a world-class modern stadium
Good hear the insight of a Liverpool fan, thanks mate!
I wouldn’t be surprised that Sir Jim brings in more money by just giving a company naming rights to the new stadium, that would generate incredible money
*** I Personally Think … If they Do Build a NEW stadium Next to the Existing One … to keep the Authenticity of “ Theatre of Dreams “ .. & keep the Hallowed Ground … the Footprint of the New Stadium MUST Overlap Part of the Existing Pitch … so that Future Players will Still Get to play on the LEGENDARY HALLOWED PITCH ! NEW overlapping the OLD
Can be the only way ! …. Or it’s Completely RENOVATE the Existing Stadium to the highest of standards !
I wish I had the ability to make such a video
Very kind mate!
so when ???
One thing doesn't make sense though, if we used old Trafford for womens and under 21s and built a new stadium, Old Trafford would still need the 800 million investment, its crumbling so news stadium 2bn plus 800 million Old Trafford... Doubt it, either new stadium and Knock OT down or work on OT
We already have a Wembley of the north. We call it Anfield.
If Man Utd want to re-claim the title of biggest club in the world, they have to move on and build a brand new stadium. It needs to be like no stadium before and seat a minimum of 100k. Build it on the same location and call it old Trafford but it needs to be a completely new stadium.
all i ask is that the new design doesn't resemble that of a tin can much like the Bernabeau. it looks lifeless. give it some character n color.
SJR wants a brand new stadium and so do I and many,, many other fans. BRING ON A NEW STATE OF THE ART STADIUM.
New new new
Eventually Wembley will become known as the old Trafford of the south
i think m utd should have a great stadium for british football sake one like tottenhams
really still no silverware asked Kevin and Alan 😅
Saeeeeeed
All these United fans saying they want to be like City, Obviously the best choice is build a new ground in Surrey to save the fans travelling.
You’re hilarious, not.
😂😂
They must just renovate.
try actually winning something there before calling it the wembley of the north
They won a trophy last season...isn't that something than nothing??? Are you lost in bitter sweet envy😅😅😅
@prakashm1468 mate they won a caraboa cup at wembley wiith their full team in a tournament thats just their for extra silverware again at wembley not old trafford hardly winning it at old trafford
new everton stadium, new united one, new newcastle one, prem stadiums are too good
Everyone trying to catch up with Tottenham!
Tottenham’s stadium is like nothing else, Man City’s brilliant also and having a facelift currently
@@jaytomlinsfcthat's the only thing spurs fan can say...other than that, spurs are just one wannabe club
@jaytomlinsfc Big up to Jay the legend 👑👑👑❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thanks mate 😁
@@jaytomlinsfc you’re welcome ☺️
Comparing it to Webley is already a sign of Jimmy's weak mentality. NOT should be without equal, and his openness to selling the stadium name is outrageous. That's why I support renovation and upgrade rather than a new stadium.
NEW STADIUM 🏟 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 WAKE UP END SMELL THE COFFEE ☕ ALL ITS PR
renovate old Trafford
Don't try and appropriate the Wembley name, that's tragic. It's the church of football.
newcastle will have the wembley of the north
Might have to make a video about this!
Well you can't win at Wembley in the South, so you may as well 😂😂😂😂
First win a final at Wembley...then you can think of saying such laughable wish 😅😅😅😅
Newcastle 👍👍
The Brexiteer will probably build it in France, like he did his car company!!
All the models presented have this ghastly metalic facades. It looks nasty and cheap
As soon as ambrosia came on i turned it off 😂 of all people you put that numpty on! Ya git mi bro
It’s hard enough to build. New stadium 🏟️ but these fan channel people who isn’t investing wants stadium plus
