Napapikit ako nung pinutol ang spokes 😂 ganyan din ka fresh ang xr ko way back 2016 ngayon may mga kalawang na and problema pero kahit hanggang overhead cam na ang baha siya lang ang umaandar. I like the setup ng wheel size hopefully magka blessing na makabili ako ng rims. More power lodi!

The mechanic put the lock on the the lock link in the wrong direction. They closed end of the lock should always face the direction the chain is moving in to force it to always stay in place.
We corrected it after. We only noticed it was backwards after taking the video.

Interesting mod. I wonder if the larger tires interfere with suspension compression travel. Particularly i wonder if you hit a hard bump, do the larger tires hit fenders/frame/etc where the smaller tires would not have hit?
There's still enough clearance for the tires not to hit the frame. As for the suspension, there is no issue.

does it make better? I would think it would be slower to accelerate all that rotating mass. Also, L\less torque on that big heavy rear tire. looks nice though.
Yes, you are right. You will need to change the sprocket size that suits the tire sizes.. We have changed the sprocket. It's on another vlog.
My xr150 with stock wheel size is already very poor off road because of road gearing. I am very surprised you did not change sprocket size. Adding larger rear wheel size will only exaggerate the problem. I think a fork upgrade and longer rear shock to keep stock geometry after fork upgrade would be next on the list. Witch bring into question, Why not just buy an xr190? Nice vid and informative. Thank you😁
Hi, we have replaced the engine sprocket after the wheelset upgrade to fix the acceleration problem.

Any idea what the spoke pattern of the rims originally fit? In the USA most rim replacements are sold by bike model. And what size spokes are they?

Sorry no idea. We cut the original spokes during the upgrade 😅 Have you tried checking on your local bike shops?
Did you ever figure this out? Trying to find spokes for the front still and am not having much luck
@@TheDrOneCarter looking into this also… the CRF230L had a 18/21 setup and might fit. Please let me know if you figured this out.
@MishMashMoto so for the rear the hub is the same as the xr200. For the front, no, I used Buchanan spokes to make custom spokes for the front. Really love how mine turned out.

Adding size to thd rear wheel like this , is it enough to change the speedometer and will I get the same mileage out of these more aggressive tires ?
I noticed the speedometer is not that accurate anymore after I changed into these tires.. Mileage is also not accurate.. My estimate is about 10-15km difference

How is the performance, and after upgrade stock chain is short?
The stock chain is short, so we added an extension. As for the performance, we initially had issues with the acceleration (it feels heavy), so we also had to change the engine sprocket.

Hi, can I mount sport tires if I only use it for city driving?
If you're more into city driving with very good road condition, it's best to use the regular road tires instead of terrain, as it would feel wobbly to use terrain tires in cement/asphalt road based on our experience. Dual Sport tires is good for both city driving and a little off road. Your tire choice would really depend on the purpose.
@@TheNorthernRiders19 Thank you, the factory installed off road tires doesn't work well on smooth pavement.
And our most 'off road' experience are the steep ramps inside parking lots in condominiums, humps, and potholes that appear during the rainy season. We never use it outside Metro Manila.
@@johnlove6194 yup better change them then into road tires for more road traction if that's the case. Like most riders that I've watched in thailand or indonesia who aren't really into off road trails converted their ride to a motard setup. It looks good just the same.

As for the cost of the parts, it's more or less P14,000.00 including the fee to assemble the wheels. (About $250-280).

Around 48 to 52km per liter depende sa riding habit at traffic condition.

Yung kadena is 428H pa din po pero young haba kayo po susukat nun, kase may tamang play yung kadena, watch nyo po yung vid kasama po sya dun.

Hindi dapat palitan ng rim 18 yan kasi ang haba ng swing arm nya ay para sa rim 17 lang. Yan lumiit clearance nya halos sumayad na yong goma.
