    Driver In New Train Accident Gets 6 Months In Pr!son; Fresh Video Drops As Car Owner Speaks

    Hi people from Ghana, I am from Poland. I heard about the train accident and came to see what you write about it. After reading your comments here is what I think.
    1. the locomotive has many protection systems, so the locomotive did not suffer much damage. Everything can be repaired quickly if you have spare parts. You will have to wait a while for them, but at least the service facilities and spare parts base will already be built. Remember that every failure is a path to success. The most important thing is that no one was hurt in the accident. It would be better for such an incident to happen now than when the railroad is already up and running.
    2. Ghana should launch a ubiquitous education program for the entire population. It should be in schools, in public places, in workplaces and in the media. In Europe and America, people are being educated all the time about the dangers of trains. It takes several hundred meters for a train to stop. Therefore, everyone should be taught what not to do. And it is not allowed to:
    ► walk on the tracks wearing headphones (you can't hear the train).
    ► walk on the tracks near curves where trees or buildings obstruct the view
    ► walk on the tracks on bridges
    ► always walk and cross the tracks with extreme caution.
    ► do not shift gears in your car while crossing the tracks (your car may then stop).
    ► if your car has stopped on the tracks, it is better to get out of the car instead of trying to drive away.
    ► do not put thick branches, large stones, or scrap metal on the tracks.
    ► Do not throw stones at trains.
    ► do not climb on the roof of trains.
    ► do not lean out of doors, or windows of moving trains.
    ► do not damage railroad infrastructure (for example, by cutting metal parts for scrap).
    People also need to be taught the signs used at railroad crossings and must not ignore them.
    There is no need to protect the entire length of the tracks from people. No one in the world does that. However, it is good to create unobstructed crossings for animals so that they don't have to step on the tracks, but could cross them underneath, or go over the top over the tracks. Any technology introduced in a country affects people's lives, and people themselves need to understand that new technologies require new behavior of the whole society.
    As for the truck, if it doesn't have a license plate number on it, it was a deliberate act.

      Thanks so much. Your post is detailed and must be cropped for public information. Well thought out and written. Kudos.
      The way I see it, the truck driver wanted to make a short cut across the rails instead of going by the approved route. Very negligent and idiotic. The rate of indiscipline on our roads would blow your mind. I’m a Ghanaian resident in Canada. I just scream and curse at rude and obnoxious drivers and motorcyclists which is not in my nature anytime I use the road when I visit Ghana. The willful intent to disobey traffic regulations is beyond comprehension.

    • @orkako
      @orkako Před 14 dny

      @@philtymcnasty9994 Some people cannot be changed, but children can be shaped and instilled with the right principles of good upbringing, and taught that certain behaviors should be stigmatized because they are socially harmful. After that, you just have to wait until the old generations are replaced by new generations that already adhere to higher standards of social life. It can't be done otherwise, and this is a challenge that every nation must face. Actually, it is a silent competition between different nations, since a well-organized social life ensures a higher level of organization of the state, and this in turn allows for higher economic, scientific and political performance, which gives the state an advantage over other states. This is not the only strategy that leads to the success of the state, but it is the most advantageous strategy for the state and the nation.

  • @missa.7559
    @missa.7559 Před 17 dny +4

    I have many years experience in the railroad industry in both the us & canada.
    Most rail cars can have a gross weight (the total weight of the load, including the weight of the rail car itself) of up to 286,000 pounds. Heavy axle rail cars can have a gross weight of up to 315,000 pounds.
    Therefore a train can run through and mangle a truck trailer ( articulated truck) and have very minimal damage depending on the speed , the grade of the rail, or the terrain whether it uphill or downhill.
    With that in mind, it’s very possible for this Ghana train to have had a hard impact on that kia truck with minimal damage to it, if it doesn’t derail ( aka come of the tracks). Derailment causes the actual damage to the train( due to many technicalities we cannot get into ) and very often not the objects the train impacts.
    Africans dont generally understand not to play around rail tracks. But i think we should start educating the masses on this.
    Because trains cant stop on a dime like cars. It takes quite a while after a brake is applied and a lot of aerodynamics (which i cannot explain here to keep things short) before it can decelerate and stop.
    Also, a train can only go two directions; front and back. It cannot swerve like a vehicle on the road. So if you are too close, it’s too late. You’re probably already dead. Because by the time the brake kicks in after it’s been applied, it would have probably already hit you.
    Trains can’t reverse on a dime either. This action requires someone protecting the point( ie a rules qualified person standing off to the side on ground, in a position to see the leading car/ last car before that action can take place). So there is no time for the train to reverse and save you if you cross it when its already moving
    If you can see the train close enough while crossing the track, you should probably be repenting and hoping for a seat in heaven.
    There needs to be more education on railway safety for the general public if we’re going to mass adopt this mode of transportation.
