I was recently in Los Angeles back in the old hood and there used to be huge numbers of fish stores, and they're GONE. We have more fish stores in Vancouver, BC than the entire LA area. Our club has several thousand members, and while it's mainly white and asian guys, I'm still scratching my head that LA is so slow now.

Hey Jimmy, you're getting into the Africans, let's go!
I've got a 55g Lake Tanganyika Biotope too! It's got 40 Multifasciatus that started from a group of 6, and tankmates are 3 Lake Tanganyika Killifish (look them, they're so cool and so rare so if you see them, snatch them up) but they're starting to get blue and yellow so I'm really excited. I dont run Crushed Coral (although I probably should because Washington Water is so soft) but they've been thriving.
Another Great Video! And since you're using the 108, I'm guessing the goldfish got traded or died :(

So, I'll soon be getting a used 55 gallon tank from one of my brothers. I was thinking about doing a South American biotope with apistos, tetras, etc. Now I'm thinking I should maybe to do a Lake Tanganyika tank instead. My tap water is at about 7.8 pH and 240-300 TDS. It wouldn't take much to get my water to 8.0 pH. Probably a lot easier than going the other direction.
Please do an update with your tank, once it's all set up!
