I’m a home health nurse and I really like how you organize your trunk
Makes me want to redo mine
I took my NCLEX RN 1 week ago and found out I passed a few days ago! Tomorrow is my first day meeting with an agency for home health that my mom works with, super excited for that and for your videos! Thank you for the advice
I have worked as a HHA and LVN in home health here in CA for about 8 years. I love home health. Today I had an interview with a community college for the LVN-RN bridge program. It’s sounds like I’m being accepted into the program! Just waiting for my confirmation email on May 19th. I’m so excited. I’m going to continue working in home health as a RN. The pay is so good, I like driving around, and the flexibility in my schedule is amazing.
You don’t mind the dirty homes 🏡?
I've been a LPN for 25 years and starting my HH career. Super excited and learned alot from your video. Thanks!
Absolutely love how you showed the skills of giving rocephin intravenously! New subscriber 💕
So happy i found your channel ! someone i can relate to as a fellow Home Health nurse !
Ahhhhh yes! More home health videos to come! 🤗
Can I just say: you are freaking adorable😊❤️ Thank you for sharing knowledge! 🙏🏼✨
I love love love your channel! I don't know how I didn't come across it sooner, So much great information !
Thank you Dalia!
Thank you for sharing. I am going back to home care in a couple of weeks so I needed to remember the whole car trunk with supplies thing. Also I noticed the make of your car which also put my mind at ease because I have the same make and was concerned about doing home care in it.
Yeah my car is not ideal for home health but it works 😅
Enjoyed your tips. I found this information helpful Thx,
I'm a HH nurse who works with the VA vets! Here for the organization tips. XoX
Just found your channel and it's so helpful. I am a CNA, planning on going to school after this next year to start my journey to hopefully become either an OB or a Trauma Nurse. Would you recommend someone to go straight into University after high school if they got scholarships and what not? Also, after you graduated high school, did you have to take any prereqs before you could actually start the nursing school process? Love your nursing videos by the way.
Hi, glad I found your channel. Need help with plans of care when I do SOCs, any book recommendations? Thanks for making this video.
those are butterfly needles for lab draws, not iv. your car is not CHAP compliant. you need a "clean" side and a "dirty" side. your supplies need to be in containers. I mean it's nice to know I am not the only nurse with a trunk that's a hot mess but please don't pass this off as complaint.
So true
The potential for cross contamination and damage to supplies because of improper storage ..
Such an interesting video! Thanks for sharing with us.
More to come for you guys!
loving your video I'm acute hospital nurse and just got hired for home health and I'm so excited for this home health
Yes! Stay organized and do your charting on time and you will be a great & efficient home health nurse! 😊 Congrats!
Please make a video on how to make the most money as a home health nurse and how not to let agencies fool us, can we negotiate pay, hours etc?? Thank you so much for your content!
Thanx for sharing this. It’s my first RN home health job also. I just got licensed. Btw, where did u get your uniform I love the color 😊
You're so organized
Tysm for this! I’m going to grab storage containers too to organize!! Do you still do home health nursing?
I enjoyed your video, cool to see how you organize all of your supplies! I’ve been working as an RN in acute care for the last 3 year and looking at transitioning to HH. I got used to having an IV team and phlebotomy techs. How do you deal with difficult sticks out in the field?
They key is to making fellow nursing friends at the agency! 😅 If I have a difficult stick I will message another nurse and ask her for a favor if she can come out and do the visit for me and draw the blood (she will get paid from agency) And if you don’t make nursing friends you can also just call the agency and tell them that you cannot get the stick and ask if they can send out another nurse to do the visit and draw the blood! 👏🏽
Can you give us more info about your bags that you use? The grey bag in the trunk and the one in your front seat?
Omg this is so cool to see! 🤩
A 🩺💉👩⚕️R.N. and a service member🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. SUBSCRIBED!!!
Does the agency provide you the supplies needed for the patients that youre gonna visit?
I am an organization junkie 🙋🏻♀️ totally here for this
😊😊
how was it going to school as a lvn? Im currently a Lpn and start my home health job today and currently in school for my RN
Do you need experience to work in home health right after finishing school?
Make more videos!
Great video...
Please, can you make some videos for new nurse : how to document wound care....I am just 3 month new LPN and I will be working as home health nurse, and as I read my responsibilities one of those are wound care....this will be my first job as LPN as after pass my NCLEX 3 month ago I took a long break
thankyou
Ahhhh! Yes I can do a brief video on documentation & wound care!
Also within your home health agency if you need help on charting ask your case managers or your DON!
A good home health agency will/should help you with documentation!
Love how you stay organized
Thank you!!
Jaylin I am new to your channel. I just graduated from LVN and I was looking into home health but I was a little scared cause they advised us at school not to do home health right out of school. As a new nurse will I be doing IV medication like right now in your video and blood drawing. How about PT/INRs? I am looking to apply into one that is medical specialty: geriatrics, homehealth, woundcare for LVNs. Thank you and your videos really are helpful for me as a new LVN.
I thought lvns don’t do Iv push meds .. at least not in California
So happy I found your channel. I just graduated and passed my NCLEX I really want to go into home health. Do you think it would be hard for a new grad to do home health?
Any first new job as a new grad is going to be alittle difficult at first but if you find a good home health agency you should be able to shadow a fellow nurse for a week to get the hang of things & remember google is your best friend if you forget certain skills!
Love this video girl❤️
Appreciate the support! ☺️🙏🏽
Thank you so much for your video I am an RN, and I just got hired on to my very first home health registered nurse job! It'll be PRN, and this video is so helpful so that I know what to expect and what to keep in my car. I'm a little nervous because it's PRN and I've never done it before, and I've got three kids that love to tear through stuff in my car. So we have an SUV, and they'll get into the back of the SUV to look for stuff so I got to figure something out there. Thank you very much for your video it's so helpful!
Ahhh exciting! An SUV is so good for home health lol! If I were you I would get a large container with a lid on it! Maybe that would at least keep them from grabbing things 😅
Jay you are amazing! Stay safe!
Thank you Catrina! 😙
This may sound like a really dumb question, but im curious? Do you take everything out every day, then put in back in the trunk every morning? Because in my car gets extremely hot. And I would think it would mess up or dry some things out...
Thank you gor posting hour video, and sharing your tips. I really like your videos, they're very informative. 💕
Love your channel. Where is the iPad case from?
Amazon! 🙂
@@jaylinandfelipe do you have a link?
Does your company supply all of those things? including PT/INR monitor and Cavi wipes?
Also, these are some of the best tips I have seen on home care so far! great video :)
Did you do an update on your job dealing with Covid patients?
Update coming next week! Covid contract ended and got a new job 😮
Dang girl you are a beast!
I am an LPN and want to go for mr RN. Could you share how you went about that and how you did it while working? 😊
Check out my other nursing video! 🎓🤩
Love this video learning you’re really good @ them IV
🙏🏽
How much do you make?
How big is the trunk of your car? Or what Car do you drive? I saw sum grocery bins on Amazon but idk if they’ll fit in my car🤔🤔
My trunk is small! I drive a mercedes CLA 250 sport.
You can always return the bins & get new ones if they dont fit! Returns to amazon are easy!
hey... do you only work in HH? and do you have your BSN or ADN. Maybe you have a video about this already? This is my first time here.. And I want to know everything about your journey because Im currently in LVN school and strongly intrested in HH
No I have another job besides home health! I graduate with my BSN in August! Yes new video coming within 2 weeks!
Does your agency reimburse or pay all your car repair like engine oil change ,gas, wear and tear of tires and overall car maintenance .or its only for the gas?
Just for gas & also my agency only gives me patients within a 10 mile radius of my home! If they need me to go out farther and the patient is out of my area they will pay me alittle more!
HI! great video, can I ask you what are the common task for a RN who work as a home health care nurse? Is it easy to find a health care job as a RN? Thank you!
Yes it is extremely easy to find a home health job! Look on Indeed! Main tasks for an Home Health RN, are doing Start of Cares (signing patients on to your home health company), doing wound care, doing IV medication administration and doing discharges.
@@jaylinandfelipe hi! Thank you, as a home health RN do I have to deal with basic care too, like feeding patients or hygiene?
Can you do a hair tutorial I love your hair
Yes I will also be doing a “get ready with me: nurse edition” 🙂
Where did you purchase your nursing bag?
Amazon! Go check out my “Whats in my nursing bag” video! I give a run down on the bag & the price!
Does heat affect your supplies? We rarely get to park in a garage or shade.
Yes, I have noticed heat does affect supplies. I use a car cover in the hot months of summer or bring supplies into the house to maintain them.
Sarap mo!!!
