FFT analysis settings made easy

  • FFT analysis can be used to convert time data into the frequency domain. This allows the frequencies contained in the noise to be determined along with their levels.
    However, the results depend heavily on the selected analysis settings. Time and frequency resolution should be set to match the noise and the human resolution.
    This tutorial explains these effects using examples. Furthermore, an alternative method - the hearing model according to Prof. Dr. Sottek - is presented.

      Es gibt zurzeit so viele Themen, dass wir uns zunächst auf die Vermittlung in der Weltsprache Englisch konzentrieren.
      Würde Ihnen zusätzlich zum Englischen auch ein deutscher Untertitel in CZcams genügen?

      and that was the problem for a long time. If you wanted to work with colleagues on sound quality.
      an averaged sound pressure level was often the only basis for discussion.
      Thanks to this analysis in combination with filtered playback, you can suddenly work in a very targeted way and be understood immediately - by everyone :-)
