Because Whodini was going through money disputes with Jive/Arista records! The record company was not paying them correctly! So Jive/Arista refused to promote this project! And that's why there was only one video made: "Rock You", and you can tell they didn't spend much on that video. Jive/Arista was also cutting into Whodini's budget money to record!
After this album, Whodini was dropped!! They would never record on a major label again! They were also screwed out of publishing, future royalties, and ownership of their master recordings!!

Well hello there in underground this album was a big hit and had more important then some of the other rap artist acts out there yes this album is a part of their Fame growing and a few albums later they were inducted into the Hall of Fame and got many other Awards achieved with this album being part of it Houdini is an incredible and has made a big impact on the Hip Hop culture world giving a great message through this album in particular a magic carpet says it all yes they offered Magic proving that hip hop and it's music can be marketed like carpet's in people's Rich mansions homes.
